  • first uke deserves more recognition

  • this isnt AIKIDO this is sh**

  • Kill that bastard haha

  • omg he's good

  • GRANDMASTER !

  • serbian disciplin :)

  • The best Majstor-The Word Of Aikido!

  • Fucking gay!!!!!!!! if I hit like that I'd get my ass kicked. weak!!!

  • These are demonstrations. I would say sport fighting that simulates real fighting is a better form of training than demonstrations are. These attacks are scripted. Look how pathetic the agressors attacks are and you will realise that Arts & Crafts would be just as afective. (Bas Rutten explains why aikido isnt used in MMA) search for this video and get his take on it.

  • @Rhonaldv Bas Rutan? is the new leader of a 5000 year fighting tradition? in your mind? Nuff said. Oh and I know O'Sensi's age just want you to know I am not referring to MMA vs Aikido, Men have been killing each other much longer and not on a timer or in a ring. Demonstrations? well mabey but you train for blood, but we train to take it. In the "most compassionate way....

  • @Nhtaol Morihei Ueshiba (植芝 盛平 Ueshiba Morihei?, December 14, 1883 – April 26, 1969) was a famous martial artist and founder of the Japanese martial art of aikido. He is often referred to as "the founder" Kaiso (開祖?) or Ōsensei (大先生/翁先生?), "Great Teacher".

    Not 5000 years

  • @Nhtaol My beef is how often the Akido videos only show demonstrations with the attacker following set patterns. I know that traing in Akido can prepare oneself to use some affective grapples, but the videos always show more effectivness then what real life situations would dictate. Jackie Chan movies always end with outtakes that show how often moves and sometimes simple moves result in a miss step.

  • @Nhtaol Training in Akido can help prepare someone to be better coordinated and healthy, but so can ballet and their scripted moves are called a dance, not self defence.

  • Bas Rutten explains why aikido isnt used in MMA

  • same attack over and over, t

  • What most people forget here is that arts like these are meant as self defense and not for sport...

  • @dangkoen good luck with people attacking you with an outstretched hand, standing in place, and jumping somersaults when you try to throw them

  • @onokaoonokao Yeah, well offcourse in reality they would break something resisting a fast movement like demonstrated in the video.

  • @dangkoen I have no idea what you said.

  • I "love" when people give wiseacre comments without thinking.

This was a DEMONSTRATION. They won't start beating each other silly for some doubting Thomas amusement. So before saying idiotic comments go to an actual training and ask the master to indulge your curiosities.

  • @AlexVSharp Hey Alex. Relax. Its actually funny reading know-it-all opinions from ignorant commentators. Kind reminds me of what the scarecrow said on "The Wizard Of Oz". You know...the part when he sez something like "There are a lot of people without any brains who do an awful lot of talking.

Let it go, and remember this?

"Master the divine techniques of the Art Of Peace, and no one will dare challenge you" Relax, and Fahgit abaddit...heh-heh.

  • @kalanihooya So you wish you had a heart?

  • @Nhtaol Heh-heh...I like that. You're right though. It's all training and nothing's really predictable in a real fight. Choreographed training and usually done as a "What if..." situation. To me, Aikido is a supplemental art, to be combined with the various other arts. Personally my favorite martial arts are Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, and Hwa Rang Do; not necessarily in that order.

  • @AlexVSharp 10th dan??? Nope. Not even 6th good vid but no ones ranked 10th and iI want to see your 6 man Rondori to even do that. Please post that. Walk the walk ifyou talk the talk.

  • @atanatoz89 band's name is SUNSHINE from belgrade /song name "Iza Horizonta" (behind the horizont)

  • @sanjurohaze .. muchas muchisisisisisisimas geacias :D

  • Who the hell attacks like that!?

Reminds of jim carreys karate lessons.

In a real fight the opponent would more likely have thight guard, keeping hes arms close to the body. And hopefully delivering some straight, fast punches. And what about hard swift kicks to the groin or the shin? How you gonna dance that around?

  • @Qbabxtra Actually, I've been taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 7 years, and my trainers father is 67 and he has taken Aikido for almost 50 years, and he beats my ass everytime, it's quite emberrasing.

  • So this is what clowns do in there spare time

    10th Dan? my ass

  • aikido is all about controlling the situation, no teacher ever told me to wait around to be attacked, if that is all u expect out of some one who knows aikido, u must not know of its ancient roots, or its fundamentals. It is a complex study, but it enables you to settle disputes "peacfully" better then say boxing would. Aikido works great with striking combined, and some sort of distraction is generally a good idea, (nose, chin, eyes, ribs), but u jus hit them a couple times, thn u got more u do

  • Is easy to defeat a aiki guy, just dont hold their arms....

  • @kravanhani

You think so? Good luck then.

  • you sure im 6. kyu ( white belt ) and i can defense every punch i am ichimaru lvl

  • Guy is real i know him , hes owsome ! Lives in Belgrade Serbia <3

  • What organisation is this guy affiliated to or did he just make up his own??

  • @RyanDotTv the thing is that it is Aikido adapted for real, everyday fight situations(knife , pistol, craw bar or whatever somebody use to attack U with),

that's why it is called REAL /basic Aikido with some minor changes

  • I like this music

  • This is shame for real aikidokas....Blame yourself!

  • @rocking78 why do you think that way ?

  • szacunek dla ciebie i to potrujny

  • It might have its weak points as any ma (you can't cover all sides in one style), but no doubt about the effectiveness of realni (Serbian version of real) Aikido. The issue is the name: given that Aikido is how created and passed down by O Sensei, with all philosophy embedded in it, any major changes (a few technical ones, a different approach and lack of that philosophy) should suggest to just give it a more distinguished name! It would avoid many pointless debates over what Aikido really is...

  • this video shows the real difference between the original japanese aikido and how european people whould like to turn it. japanese are searching the art before the fight, that's why they are artists. do you think this really works? maybe yes, maybe not, but if you like fighting aybe you should just practice bjj instead aikido...

  • @jo3bl4ck74, the "original aikido" was created to self-defence in a time of violence, it was not a hobby like hikebana or a religion. Master Ueshiba crated a martial art with spirituality about energy, but japanese people practised aikido against GI during the 2 world war. It's an art, beacause there is a thought behind, but the purpose of it it's to win against an attack...sooooo, I'm called this : fight.

  • @jo3bl4ck74 Speaking from the perspective of a student who got repeatedly beat up by his rather gentle 3rd dan master, yes, it fucking works. I am a very flexible person, and can say I have a pretty high pain treshold, but those things don't matter when you are flying through the air, without any idea as to where is up, and then land in a perfect pinch to have your shoulder screwed out until he notices your frantic banging on the floor. It works, trust me.

  • @Vaporizer2k well i truly trust you! Every martial art contains elements that are actually working but as i wrote before if you just wantthe art to be working you better practice street fighting or MMA or Bjj or similar! In the traditional aikido to be effective is not the purpose of your practice but just the result of it!

  • @jo3bl4ck74 The purpose of my own practice was nothing else but self-defense. I don't have much physical strength, making Aikido the perfect sport for me as it uses the opponent's energy against him.

  • @Vaporizer2k that's exactly what i'm saying man... try to follow me for a minute... it's like a zen thing: if you just want to be effective that kind of will is destroying any possibility to be effective in a philosophical point of view! what i'm trying to tell you is that in the real aikido there's no will, no worries about winning or loosing! That's the difference between a 'budo' and a simple method to self defence... they are just two different planets!

  • @Vaporizer2k trained it did not work unless u r stronger than the person go to a boxing class or a very good thai class cos in a bar or pub once punch or so is all you will get off and the best form of defense is attack so in confortation hit first think second

  • @whiteasasheet - "Hit first think second". Well, now there's some thinking that will get you seriously injured or killed in a bar or pub.

  • @ModernGolfer in a pub if someones gonna go at you then your gonna get hurt anyway so get in first finish the job and walk out, standing around waiting to be bashed will end up with you get hurt.

  • @Vaporizer2k no it dosent unless the same is stronger than you tyr aikido on a big muscled up doorman and you wont have strengh to pull him about. if you dont belive me get a 130 pound girl and get her to try it on a 200 pound man and get him to go strong its impossible done it tryed it and found out for my self. but its all about the training so enjoy.

  • Strange, why somebody would award himself a 10th dan??? Marketing and big e-peen???

  • @garghot

it was gozo shioda that did it...

    you idiot

  • garghot @asf4321

Oh, is it so, how about this:

"In August 2002 the United States Martial Arts Association elected Vracarevic to its Hall of Fame and awarded him the title Grandmaster, black belt 10th dan, Sōke. This award is not recognized by any of the mainstream aikido organizations such as Aikikai and Yoshinkan." So it still looks like he awarded himself a 10th dan, sorry pal. For your information, Shioda Sensei passed away in 1994...

  • @garghot

i may have been mistaken regarding the 10th dan thinkgg..

but shioda personally signed some sort of "diploma" for vracarevic.

in any case.. it doesnt really matter.. the man basically reinvented aikido and added more stuff to it... which made it more applicable in real situations not just displays that we keep seeing.

  • Auuu, sta covjek radi, svaka mu cast!!

  • BRAVO LJUBO SRBINEEE !!!!

  • As phony as wrestling, why do you NEVER see

    Aikido matches?

  • if you know what Aikido is or does , then you won't ask such question.

  • @Mincer1914 Lol u are a fucking idiot ... I am a black belt of real aikido, Ljuba was my trainer ... Cut the crap this ain't phony, it is a martial art concentrated on DEFENCE !!!

  • @Mincer1914

this is not aikido.. its "real aikido"

a serbian modification of that martial art to make it more effective.

its used by special forces, bodyguards, etc in serbia

  • @Mincer1914 I asked a friend of mine obout that- hes into aikido for long time. He told me that its against filosophy of this discipline. And I think it would be *extremly* contusion-generating to spar aikido for points.

  • @Mincer1914 You do actually, Kenji Tomiki who was first to receive a Menkyo Kaiden under Ueshiba developed a system of Randori for exactly that purpose. Tomiki was also the head student under Kano and believed that a sporting aspect was necessary to the development of the style's effectiveness and overall budo.

  • The move that starts at 0:26 is AWESOME!

  • TO LJUBO!!! :)

  • I prefer the Waltz but this is ok.

  • 5 stars

  • 5 stars

  • Good stuff; however, it has more of an Aikijujitsu look to it, with the finishers presented by the Grandmaster. A little to much circular in my opinion on the ground submissions, you're never going to have that kind of time to do something so pretty, but still well presented technique.

  • Why don't he change name of his martial art. The aikido word in unpregnant.

  • Nothing "Grandmaster" looking there?

  • well, he "only" trained Gadafi's bodyguards... just one example 4 u, smartass.

  • Ljuba je majstor marketinga, a ne borenja.

  • Excellent! Thank you :-)

  • Very good! thanks.

    Dakila Hsuan

  • Awesome!5 stars
