My do used to do that all the time. Evan run or rather trying to run while laying down asleep. They can even open their eyes just like people do. Thats why the dog jumped up and wagged it's tail when it's owner spoke her name. I had a friend Neil that would talk in his sleep and so does his brother, you could "wake them up" they would answer you and go back to sleep. They wouldn't even remember talking to you.
