Human + animal hybrids can't happen because of different numbers of chromosomes. DNA makes and regulates proteins. Mutations usually do nothing, often do bad things, and sometimes do good things.

@RespectMyHate that simply is not true. The theory of evolution is entirely based off of mutations causing changes that allow an organism to survive more easily than others around it. A mutation causes only a change. That change can make the organism more or less adapt to live.

@Awrestling developing gills would not be a "speed up" of evolution. evolution spend 100 million of years to move from the sea onto the land. but if humans can controll mutations we will benefit as we will be able to engineer healthier human beings who will be less likely to catch deseases.
@xxTaKe2xx i know what you mean but i'm talking here about environmental adaption... humans may not be as strong as bears, fast as cheetahs or may not swim as fast as sharks but if God didn't gave us these abilities, we should be grateful that God left these animals in our world for further research... if people would posses these abilities plus many more, there would be no danger of human extinction and therefore we would survive to most natural disasters

There is no animal as fast as cheetahs, strong as bears and swim like a shark etc. because the social stress would be to intense. It would have to compete with mamals and fish. Sooner or later it would be pressured to evolve on one of its qualities (hunt on land or in the sea) to ease the rivalry. And therefor the other qualities would degenerate.

@Awrestling Mutations have never benefited any organism in recorded history. Many scientists have experimented with this, and results very frequently were sterility. I think the prime examples for humans must be Chernobyl, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki.

Recent studies show that positive emotion/thought such as love, joy, greatfulness and etc. effects human DNA by making the strands longer and more perceptive (meaning uncoding the hidden talents such as ESP, precognition, clairvoyance and others), when negative emotion such as fear, anger, despair and etc. makes DNA shrink, therefore limiting human perception a great deal. One has to establish an ongoing positive thought in order for these change to occur.

@ymonkey333 Because they have no rational basis for their beliefs. They have no evidence to show anyone, so seeing anything that contradicts their mythology causes cognitive pain. Of course, most theist have simply accepted reality and accepted that the myths are just that--myths. This will, of course, only get them so far, as we learn more and more about the universe.
these two people and even more have what i believe are 'gifts' from God, yes i do believe in the lord Jesus Christ and worship him :-). some mutations make life hard for humans that have it and that can be physically seen and is unfortunate for them. but don't be so quick to judge people born with these amazing gifts that could make their lives amazing. would you not find life more easy if you could see in the dark just as well as you can in day time? or withstand subzero temperatures?

@RespectMyHate: okay, to make it simple as it could cuz I don't know much terms in English, mutation happens in many ways: in some specific conditions of the environment some mutation are good, make the variant animals superior than others; some are bad, weaken them . Nature only let the strong and adapted with the living conditions ones survive, continue to reproduce and the good mutation is passed to the next generations. Through times, the mutations are enough to create a whole new species.

Why do you think I wouldn't believe you, that was kinda my point. Look at Sickle-cell anemia. It is detrimental to the organism's health in general, but makes the organism resistant to malaria. It is recessive, so it can be carried for generations without manifesting causing the harm, but some in each generation will have it and thus survive MUCH more in the times of disease.
The size of our brain can be looked at as bad for survival since it causes death during pregnancy (women's pelvises are too small), yet it confers such a gigantic boost to survivability by letting us communicate and plan ahead that it made the cut despite that "detrimental" factor. it IS True that we see Micro-evolution.. mutations to small creatures and are thus mutated.. these are evolved creatures. we didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor with chimps. There are more than a dozen fossil species that show transition between humans and other apes. A good example is australopithecus, basically an ape that could run on its hind legs. You can look the rest up on wikipedia

There is no animal as fast as cheetahs, strong as bears and swim like a shark etc. because the social stress would be to intense. It would have to compete with mamals and fish. Sooner or later it would be pressured to evolve on one of its qualities (hunt on land or in the sea) to ease the rivalry. And therefor the other qualities would degenerate.

Nature only let the strong and adapted with the living conditions ones survive, continue to reproduce and the good mutation is passed to the next generations. Through times, the mutations are enough to create a whole new species.

@Lightestin ....triplet refers to the three "rungs" of the dna...(base sequence...ATCG....) that make up the amino acid... each amino acid (building blocks of proteins) has its own triplet code...three bases in a specific order...hope this helps

that's because we do not know exactly what the codes mean, but in a couple of years we will know that and we will be able to choose the gender of a baby before it is born. after that, we should be able to choose physical traits like hair colour, but it is unsure how society will react to this, a lot of people will not be positive about it.

DNA is like computer programming, if the code lines are tampered with too much the program itself, growth and life in the case of DNA, cannot occur. The more we tamper with an OS for example the sooner we get the blue screen of death. DNA is the same, change it and you risk a system crash, biologically. And what, if you do change it, will result if the DNA does function and grows something new. What will you have created? Hard to uncreate something...

We may try to cure some disease and create a super-virus as a side effect, or cause our own sterility to eliminate cancer, you just dont know. Mutations happen all the time, this video is specifically about random mutations caused by errors when DNA is replicated. Human offspring will have on average about 130 mutations compared with their parents' DNA. Animals have duplicate chromosomes, so a detrimental mutation in one won't necessarily be detrimental to the organism since it would have an unmutated copy also.

Why do you think I wouldn't believe you, that was kinda my point. Look at Sickle-cell anemia. It is detrimental to the organism's health in general, but makes the organism resistant to malaria. It is recessive, so it can be carried for generations without manifesting causing the harm, but some in each generation will have it and thus survive MUCH more in the times of disease.

The size of our brain can be looked at as bad for survival since it causes death during pregnancy (women's pelvises are too small), yet it confers such a gigantic boost to survivability by letting us communicate and plan ahead that it made the cut despite that "detrimental" factor. Nature doesn't care if a mutation is good or bad, it is not striving for a goal or design. It simply exists and evolution happens to fit creatures into niches in nature.

I give the short simple proof to them and ask them the same question on why evolution isn't real... they have no answer besides, "It's God" which really sounds like they pulled that outta their asses! You know, people say that humans just kinda popped outta nowhere, but do you see that happening now? NO! It's impossible! Evolution is REAL!!!! Face it!

Evolution is false, humans are not primates,they have 2 more chromosomes than humans...therefore we did not evolve..humans were genetically engineered for an experiment by the Anunnakis ,designed for gold mining.They matched their own DNA with Hominoids to create us. Do some research on Zecharia Sitchin . To say humans evolved from apes is worse than believing in a cosmic jewish man.

it IS True that we see Micro-evolution.. mutations to small creatures and are thus mutated.. these are evolved creatures. Their genotype has been altered and thus their anatomy and physiology resulting in a 'new' creature. We do not see this same thing with Separated Gene Pools-- Different Species. For example-- such as the Myth that humans evolved from Monkeys. There simply is not enough evidence for that.

There also are no fossils to prove that we evolved from monkeys.. This idea is simply far-fetched.. and the truth of the matter is... we should NOT believe what is told to us by anyone. We can only try to come to a Logical and Rational stand point. The God we 'know' from the Christian bible is also not True.. not saying that God does not Exist. Just saying that the Bible has been tampered with. Do not believe the Bible Either. There are people in the world which shield us from the Truth.

we didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor with chimps. There are more than a dozen fossil species that show transition between humans and other apes. A good example is australopithecus, basically an ape that could run on its hind legs. You can look the rest up on wikipedia

Yes.. we do share a common ancestor. We also share a common ancestor with dogs. and other things on this Earth. In another note.. we also share common amino acids to that of a tree. :) The Transition process from a monkey to -- a Man.. seems to have been sped up .. via 'outside force'..

@TheFanOfCrypto138 It is not easy for people to let go of beliefs that they have held for so long. I accept evolution, it is a fact and not a beliefe as you say. Evolution is consistent like gravity and will continue to exist even if we forget all about. People who reject evolution will grow to accept it when they are ready, we cannot force it down their throat. That is what seperates scientists from fundamentalists.

We know several ways under many different conditions to create protein and lipid microspheres not much more complex than a soap bubble which REPLICATE. They are MORE alive than a virus. I was taught that mutations can cause for variations to occur, but always in the same species. I was also taught that there is no evidence what-so-ever that would illustrate the claim that cause for new species to emerge. Are there any actual references that prove otherwise?

Speciation does not warrant biodiversity, nor does it necessarily support "positive" mutations. If I am not mistaken, almost all mutations of genes result in a lesser value/functionality of an existing species. Further does mutation (which is what this video is about) does not produce new species or even new features in existing species (for example; even though men could be better off being able to fly, no genetic mutation will produce wings / feathers on any human being).

No. If enough mutations build up between two populations with limited or no gene flow between them, odds of reproductive success will drop to zero and they will have speciated by definition.
I'm curious, if you think mutations don't cause speciations (like that observed in Drosophila pseudoobscura) then what does?

Evolution the way Darwin described it is not true, however evolution does occur. Each species improves different systems in their bodies including our brains.since the Earth is a living object, it also evolves and that is why some species disappear and others appear that did not exist before. This, of course, happens in order to meet new needs of the environment and adapt for the purpose of survival.

The Earth is not a living organism and doesn't reproduce. The reason that some species disappear is due to: the environment changes and the species cannot adapt; competing species migrate and conquer their domain - those are 2 reasons. The environment/Earth has no needs; it will continue to exist as a large spinning sphere, regardless of what crawls upon its surface or swims in its seas, until it is eventually swallowed by the sun.

What you just saw is a video that shows you how mutation (transformations) appears, and then those mutation IF they are an advantage (like slightly more fur on a rabbit's back that lives up north) then this offspring will have a very small advantage over his brothers and sisters, but an advantage nonetheless...to part2
