  • Tr3ySoldier What do you mean?

  • can anyone explain why a person with beta thalassaemia has symptoms of anaemia

  • 2012 DNA Mutation get ready.

  • I was watching X Men

  • it can happen by mutation X a mutation for animals to give them claws and two eyes.

  • @tingmarco1 WHAT???

  • @xboxboy312 as but in zombie virus. the virus rapidy can mutation into a more dangerouts zombie.

  • Learning is second in my list of best uses of the internet.

    First is porn obviously.

  • Lol. What is going on with the comments on this video?

Human + animal hybrids can't happen because of different numbers of chromosomes. DNA makes and regulates proteins. Mutations usually do nothing, often do bad things, and sometimes do good things.

    Just thought I'd clarify things.

  • lol some people are really crazy with all that dna shit... obviously god made everyone a certain way for the reason...is it so hard to understand?!?! Little kids get that!

  • @CLSkill Gtfo.

  • There is some things that we shouldnt know about, but it is impossible to hide.

  • Sorry if I write bad English :(. Im no englishman..

  • DNA experiments #1:

What happens if you change your DNA,RNA and chromosome compleatly in all your cells in your whole entire body and takes DNA from an fruit or animal.. For example apple, lemon, bear, deer, dog, cat or fish..

And changing your DNA,RNA and chromosome into half human and half bear in all cells in your body permanently??

    What happens???

Do you die? Or do you get much cancer or what??.

    I doesnt know,just asking :p

  • @mcksvnssn1 no offence but your question is ridiculous. how old are you anyway? 6? you can't change the DNA of a specimen to that rate because every living thing has a genetic code which is unique in like the most unique way ever...and forget what you saw in the movies and cartoons because most of that stuff doesn't work in real life... for example, Canis familiaris DNA doesn't match up with Homo sapiens because of simple reasons: unique genetic codes can't match up between different species

  • @Awrestling Okey :D.

No i am acctualy 2 years old.. Soon.

I dont know a damn shit but just asking LMAO

  • @mcksvnssn1 now imagine that these codes that makes us unique doesn't even match up with members of the same specie( between humans)... if these codes can't convert themselves between humans, how the hell can it work on members of different species?

  • @Awrestling Do you have watched infowars,com or prisonplanet,com ?.

I have heard that they are already crossing DNA with other species -.- .

They can make human and humananimals clones :p .

    ilegal experiments.

One have found a fish with human 6-pack abs inside it.

Just search for Alex Jones please...

They are also going to clone Jesus.

  • there are no beneficial mutations, they're all bad.

  • @RespectMyHate that simply is not true. The theory of evolution is entirely based off of mutations causing changes that allow an organism to survive more easily than others around it. A mutation causes only a change. That change can make the organism more or less adapt to live.

  • evolution = fairytale nonsense

  • @buffboynick if evolution would've been a fairytale then you wouldn't been sharing opinions with us watching at this video because you wouldn't have any computer... there is proof of evolution in everything surrounding you so you better think before you type.

  • Hey doctor i am not satisfied with Tow hand plz change my Dna so i can have atleast 4 hands. !!

  • unfortunately or not, mutation is evolution and cancer is a mutation so if we count cancer as a mutagenic factor, then this disease is the only way to evolve and in the end mutation will select the survivors which are the strongest individuals of the specie and maybe new abilities such as a more powerful immune system will be unlocked by future generations of the "survivor"... if you don't believe me its your

    problem

  • i just want to know if mutations can bring benefits in humans...most of you who saw x men know about what im talking... can mutations speed up evolution so we can develop gills for example?

  • @Awrestling developing gills would not be a "speed up" of evolution. evolution spend 100 million of years to move from the sea onto the land. but if humans can controll mutations we will benefit as we will be able to engineer healthier human beings who will be less likely to catch deseases.

  • @xxTaKe2xx i know what you mean but i'm talking here about environmental adaption... humans may not be as strong as bears, fast as cheetahs or may not swim as fast as sharks but if God didn't gave us these abilities, we should be grateful that God left these animals in our world for further research... if people would posses these abilities plus many more, there would be no danger of human extinction and therefore we would survive to most natural disasters

  • @Awrestling God did not leave them. They survived by retreating to ecological niches.

There is no animal as fast as cheetahs, strong as bears and swim like a shark etc. because the social stress would be to intense. It would have to compete with mamals and fish. Sooner or later it would be pressured to evolve on one of its qualities (hunt on land or in the sea) to ease the rivalry. And therefor the other qualities would degenerate.

  • @xxTaKe2xx yeah but it's pretty nasty that you have all this technology on which you could accelerate evolution and yet in africa for example, millions of people die every day of starvation and AIDS... there's a cure for everything, the only problem is that people are selfish and they want to kill between themselves only to achieve money.... just think of it, sharks are also known to never get cancer so if we use the technology wisely, we may never suffer...

  • @xxTaKe2xx of course, in everything we do there are risks but who cares when millions of people die of something that could be eradicated...

  • @Awrestling Yeah, I get your drift. It is nasty.

  • @Awrestling You just said "God didn't give us these abilities" then you went on to speak of scientific research.

    In closing:Now that's fascinating

  • @AnbusKi there are people who have their beliefs... i like to have mine... i'm not attracted to science but i believe in God and we should use our mind to create something instead of just destroying it so yeah you're right... it's quite fascinating, but not in an ironic way...

  • @Awrestling exactly

  • @xxTaKe2xx i'm beginning to sound like a comic-book villain...LOL...haha!

  • @Awrestling Mutations have never benefited any organism in recorded history. Many scientists have experimented with this, and results very frequently were sterility. I think the prime examples for humans must be Chernobyl, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki.

  • @yumpin yes but those radiation levels released were too much to endure by any organism...salamanders are known to regenerate lost limbs so if we extract its gene and experiment it on human DNA, can we at least be able to create a human who can regenerate? i know this may sound sci-fi and pls don't treat my question like

something silly, but this would be something really useful in case of a war,for example...

  • @yumpin not to mention that mutations can occur in different ways, not necesarily radiation...

  • nice work

  • The ability to change what naturally happens may be good toward medicine and cures. However ppl tend to forget to add corruption and greed into the equation like every other new discovery and advancement.Through DNA alteration there may be a cure to cancer but it will also spawn humans spliced with animal genes-better physical abilities(sports and war). For a price. The average healthy human will be the weakest, dumbest and the poorest.

  • @TheCHEVYNATOR That's the evolution for us. We have to face the reality, that we broke out from the animal world, and what we are? Creators: God. We can change our future, and gain experience faster then we ever thought. And that's the way to go. And of course, we you are right, in a certain way, but do we really have to act like that? It's just depends on us, so that we can become pure and peaceful. In my opinion the human race faces the last war that will determine the destiny of humanity...

  • @devilirium01 Change comes from agreements, sacrifice, working together and respect of others.Man is further from those ideas than ever before. There are more wars, conflicts and disagreements among nations and its leaders in our time than in our history of exsistence. At our course we are destined to destruction. No matter how technologically advance or educated a human is doesnt determine how well he treats other ppl.Like Charles Manson,or Hitler.Smart but evil.

  • @TheCHEVYNATOR Indeed. But we can change that easily with a new way of thinking, and that would be the enlightenment of the XXI. century. Actually I'm working to collect similarly thinking people in my country and then we should create a new 'society' that shares the same ideology and tries to change the others without force. We have to take these steps. Also, as I'm a programmer, I'll try to create games that shows how rotten we are, and what could we do about it. I'm glad that I'm not alone =)

  • @devilirium01 Hurry up my friend. They are trying to ignite, the WWIII, and we do not have much time. They are panicked, as they understand, they may not manipulate people, for long time, and they are going to make this WWII, or ARMAGEDON, and take the people on earth, down to less than half, of todays population. And as you can understand, after such a disaster, the manipulation, will be much easier, especially if they will achieve what they have planed, to the last detail

  • @captainpontios They can't do that cause then they would destroy their robots, and if there is no human to work on those fields, then there is no profit. It's just a matter of time, and we will break trough the democracy to create a new form of society. The manipulation wouldn't be easier if we have leaders whose words motivates it's follow mens, then the resistance wont break, and they will have to give up. And just to note we > them -> they wouldn't stand a chance.

  • lol i dont understand why people use genes to try and destroy the idea of God. The absolute truth is GOD IS REAL. science in my opinion is one of the surer ways to God than religion. I believe in God and i love science it is awesome. but God is even more awesome.

  • Yes unfortunately nature changes in leaps and bounds. We are due for a change and it might not be complementary. OMG !

  • Honestly we are about to surpass peoples idea of "GOD" in this sense... Hopefully people will wake up and stop believing every fairytale they have been told since they where born... Start believing in something real... LIKE SCIENCE!!!

  • @FFX383 I totally agree! The way I see it is that religion started out in local colonies due to the fact that man has always been afraid of what we understand least or do not understand. Now we have Science to remedy this :)

  • @FFX383 Go ahead and call me crazy, but science is older than religion...and it failed to provide all the answers before. That's why people started searching elsewhere for the elusive Spirit that uses all these physical constructs to experience life. Science will ultimately fail, like religion, because it is an incomplete pursuit.

  • I am truely concerned about this...

  • @AlgisKemezys Try to understand what he is talking about before getting concerned, he is explaining the process of mutation and how it occurs, our knowing how this works in not something you should worry about and us having this knowledge is a positive thing.

  • Subscribe

  • what does alterartion in DNA sequence does.

  • invisiblejaguar And how many amazing mutations did jesus give you that make your life a bit difficult? ALS? MS? MD? Hair lip and cleft palate? Obviously none or you would see what humans really are cruel, abusive, pathetic bullies that preach their self satisfying goodness, love and god. Plz preach elsewhere, this is about dna not your god's wonderful destructive gifts to humans.

  • Your video merely conveys lab findings but it is lacking a detailed chemical mechanism for those findings. Why don't you give us the details in keto-enol tautomeric reactions followed by the step by step mution processes? The questions you can answer concerning those details are why and how corrective enzymes fail to remove the mutions? Simply statements are not enough just look at a full arrow mechamism in orgo to see what mean. DO YOUR HOME WORK!!!!

  • Why are religious people so close-minded & angry?

  • @ymonkey333 Because they have no rational basis for their beliefs. They have no evidence to show anyone, so seeing anything that contradicts their mythology causes cognitive pain. Of course, most theist have simply accepted reality and accepted that the myths are just that--myths. This will, of course, only get them so far, as we learn more and more about the universe.

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • these two people and even more have what i believe are 'gifts' from God, yes i do believe in the lord Jesus Christ and worship him :-). some mutations make life hard for humans that have it and that can be physically seen and is unfortunate for them. but don't be so quick to judge people born with these amazing gifts that could make their lives amazing. would you not find life more easy if you could see in the dark just as well as you can in day time? or withstand subzero temperatures?

  • here's a much more fascinating and argent subject with mutation. there are real people all over our world with mutations but these mutations have been advantages and given them advantages over people like me and anyone else you would pass on the street. in germany in 1999 a boy who's name is unidentified but is known as 'das uberboy', he was born with abnormal sized muscles, this child is incredibly strong. in china nong youhui was born with eyes that allow him tt see in the dark perfectly

  • Nice video. Very informative; thanks!

  • Damn i am not good at biology :( .

  • only monkey ppl believe in evolution....

  • i have a question on mutation, watch my vid

  • froggie486 where did you get that info from? I would really like to know because iam writting my thesis on the affects GMO's have on human genes and weather or not they cause gene mutation in humans. But it has been so hard to find any studies it's almost like no one has even researched that aspect of it yet and I find that hard to believe. So if you could point me in the direction of your info source I would greatly appreciate it. thanks

  • So how did mutations lead to Birds, fish, Reptiles, cats, dogs, trees, pineapples, strawberries, bananas, sequoias, HOW?

  • @RespectMyHate: okay, to make it simple as it could cuz I don't know much terms in English, mutation happens in many ways: in some specific conditions of the environment some mutation are good, make the variant animals superior than others; some are bad, weaken them . Nature only let the strong and adapted with the living conditions ones survive, continue to reproduce and the good mutation is passed to the next generations. Through times, the mutations are enough to create a whole new species.

  • the only bit i dont get is the word triplet..

can someone help me answer that plz?

  • @Lightestin ....triplet refers to the three "rungs" of the dna...(base sequence...ATCG....) that make up the amino acid... each amino acid (building blocks of proteins) has its own triplet code...three bases in a specific order...hope this helps

  • @bobbykhawk

just accept it...there is no god

  • Thank you really much!

  • lets all plagiarize mother nature why dont we

  • i was wondering how frame shift mutations occurred...informative!

  • SMACKDOWN!!!

  • Yeah, how come no one can use DNA mutation to change, let's say, hair texture? I hate my curly hair and want it to grow straight, for crying out loud!

  • that's because we do not know exactly what the codes mean, but in a couple of years we will know that and we will be able to choose the gender of a baby before it is born. after that, we should be able to choose physical traits like hair colour, but it is unsure how society will react to this, a lot of people will not be positive about it.

  • gattaca was awesome.

  • @ErgeErik gender relies on chromosones- the 23rd pair

  • ye i know x and y lol :P

think i meant the other traits haha

  • lol sorry i downed thumbed it instead of up ^^ sorry

  • @ErgeErik

umm it already happend and yes i am not happy about it becuse the baby will die after 7 years or so...

  • @ErgeErik yeah and itll be a shitload of money to check 6.6 billion base pairs now wont it

  • @ErgeErik well they already geneticly altered lab rats to Bio Luminocity yes i said it, they freakin GLOW IN THE DARRRK

  • @ErgeErik already u can "choose" what a baby looks like. if u want to pay enough. its terrible becuase i knew a kid who was replaced (put up for adoption) becuase he didnt look right.

  • @ErgeErik Change hair color? Eye color even? Japans going be full of people with natural blue and pink hair. Damn Animes are ganna take over.

  • I wonder if human ever tried to mutate a Human and a Creature before. I bet it would make a monster that would hide in the sewers. TNMT lol

  • asdadhaksdjakzxncmz,cnm,zchajksdaiuqyeiqyweiuqeqweqwe

  • Do you feel happier?

  • dkladhkahdakjdhajkdahdjkadhajkdhakjdhzxbczbcmzcbxznczbxmxzxczxc

  • where can we download this plz?

  • Try obtaining realplayer, so you can download most YT movies...

It's what I used to do, anyway...

  • DAHAHAHA I TOTALLY DONT UNDERSTAND

  • how to download?

  • thanks Mr cong now i can understnaf my advances AP biology chemstry abduction aminoacid DRNA messenger homework thanks Mithster. Cong

  • My father said that he saw something in the night whwn he was driving in his car he said that someone had to mess with DNA

  • Its an UFO abduction, millions of people have reported this, search into this you will be amazed

  • Thanks for helping me with my bio 101 homework, Mr. Cong

  • Is it possible for one to create a beneficial mutation through use of a radioactive substance?

  • It will cause random mutations. You will never know the results.

  • At best if the radioactivity mutates your reproductive cells, then maby your next generation offspring will see a difference. but otherwhise thats cancer in a bottle.

But mutations know neither if their good or bad. Only natural selection can judge that. But to be realistic the odds are far against them being good.

I mean what are the odds youll grow a twin blade out of extra dense skelleton out of your arms and they acctualy work rather than being permanently bald, or blind or deformed..

  • Thats true. Alot of cancer cells are cause by radiation.

  • oh yah i remeber this from my biology class thnks

  • It's been found that certain bacteria generate random mutations upon DNA breakage under certain circumstances. Few of them are beneficial but almost all of them not so.

  • @Froggie486 "But mutations are found to be of a random nature, so far as their utility is concerned. Accordingly, the great majority of mutations, certainly well over 99%, are harmful in some way, as is to be expected of the effects of accidental occurrences." *H.J. Mullet, "Radiation Damage to the Genetic Material," in American Scientist, January 1950, p. 35.

  • mutations result in evolution only if the said mutation is good for the organism

  • Mutations only result in evolution if they are beneficial to the organism in relation to the species, if they give the individual organism some kind of advantage. It would not be called evolution if the mutations handicapped the individual in relation to the species

  • Hey Dr. Cong, I have a question. Im just a kid whos wondering. The mutations is like a blind gun man shooting at a painting(which Is the person). and what IF you an USE the gun insted of getting shot at. Steal the gun for better uses.

There must be a way to fall in the toxic waste insted of dieing while trying. there must be a way to Trasform into something better then humans. Yea and im talking abit about the Xmens.

Please reply back as soon as you read this.

  • This is NOT evolution.

  • @SeanKingston333- I LIKE UR THOUGH...SOME WHAT SAME!! :D

  • You people dont knowshit, admit that all you talk about is learned from someone else.

    End of discussion.

  • It may be the case that some of these people don't know anything. But everything you know you learned from someone else. whether or not they are just sheep or thinkers remains to be said.

  • sac dis down dc

  • ok..

but these are just the simple parts..

  • At 1:05 affecting the TRIPLICATE also affects the ensuing OFFSPRING for GENERATIONS to come. This is how DISEASE is "passed" down (or UP for that matter)!

  • omg i'm learning this in Biology and it's crazyy stufff

  • Ah, hard to undersand, but thanks.

  • Thank you for the helpful video.

  • DNA is like computer programming, if the code lines are tampered with too much the program itself, growth and life in the case of DNA, cannot occur. The more we tamper with an OS for example the sooner we get the blue screen of death. DNA is the same, change it and you risk a system crash, biologically. And what, if you do change it, will result if the DNA does function and grows something new. What will you have created? Hard to uncreate something...

  • You need to understand the genetic programming language, in order to facilitate beneficial mutations, or even perfect hybridization.

  • Problem is long before we will comprehend what we are doing we will just THINK we do, and the results of those expiremental years will be new viruses, terrible genetic diseases, sterile offspring and unforseen results. Typically we assume we know all the repurcussions and just proceed when you know we just are not advanced enough to play with this. Pandoras box.

  • Let's just hope that they don't make a cordyceps fungus species that infects humans to spread the spores...

  • Imagine that or worse, and anything like that can result while we manipulate the DNA for other reasons. We may try to cure some disease and create a super-virus as a side effect, or cause our own sterility to eliminate cancer, you just dont know. Remove or add any material to a pie recipe and what you get is not the pie you wanted.

  • That's only if you don't know the programming code extremely well. It's like computer programming, you need to get it PERFECT.

  • Exactly- and when was the last time science did anything perfect? The rush to make it profitable will superceed perfection and multiply the chance for error. The quick cash-in and notoriety of genetic engineering will push the limits of caution and bring about errors. Im not talking godzilla or vampires, Im talking airborne ebola, flesh eating bacteria, and other fun variations that result from our plunge into the unknown.

  • SCARY stuff, indeed! I would rather we keep the ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU a movie! Great post. Provcative thought!

  • Mutations happen all the time, this video is specifically about random mutations caused by errors when DNA is replicated. Human offspring will have on average about 130 mutations compared with their parents' DNA. Animals have duplicate chromosomes, so a detrimental mutation in one won't necessarily be detrimental to the organism since it would have an unmutated copy also.

  • Yeah, and it's these mutations that cause what we like to call Evolution. Don't believe me? Think about it. If two of an animal, who can run at eaxtly the same rate in MPH, that need to run to catch their pray have an off spring, that off spring will not run any slower or faster than their parents. No change happens because of this. Now lets say the two parent animals have 2 kids, one that has a mutation that makes it slower and one that is faster due to a mutation--

  • The one that was slower is unable to catch as much food and quickly dies. This is one extreme of "Evolution". The other one, being faster due to its mutation, is able to catch more food and produce more offspring with its mutation. This process takes millions of years to take place because of the rarity of these mutations, but you can look at humans as an example. Millions of years ago (don't quote me on the timeline) Homo Sapiens based their society on who the strongest one was--

  • In our current era, however, it is the smartest individual who is deemed the superior. This is because as we "evolved" the need for inventions and cleverness caused the more intelligent of the HS to be needed more and were, after a period of time, deemed superior to those who resorted to beating their pray with a club for food. Another example could be how our advancements in Medical science has cause a some sort of de-evolution where more and more problems are occuring with the Human body--

  • Like something as simple as someone not being able to see things that are far away to something as serious as mental retardation. Millions of years ago, the type of care that is keeping people like this alive wasn't available meaning that retarded kid you see in the Special-ed class wouldn't have even made it to puberty. Same goes for kids with ADD. If you didn't sit still or act like a normal person, the group of nomads would shun you or even kill you.

  • Why do you think I wouldn't believe you, that was kinda my point. Look at Sickle-cell anemia. It is detrimental to the organism's health in general, but makes the organism resistant to malaria. It is recessive, so it can be carried for generations without manifesting causing the harm, but some in each generation will have it and thus survive MUCH more in the times of disease.

  • The size of our brain can be looked at as bad for survival since it causes death during pregnancy (women's pelvises are too small), yet it confers such a gigantic boost to survivability by letting us communicate and plan ahead that it made the cut despite that "detrimental" factor. Nature doesn't care if a mutation is good or bad, it is not striving for a goal or design. It simply exists and evolution happens to fit creatures into niches in nature.

  • wa lao i don uderstand sia

  • What actually causes the mutation under 'normal' circumstances (copying error) ?

  • it is proven that you can not tack away a cromosome unless genetically engineered thats why its more simple to just say we evolved insted of saying someone created use also have you ever wondered why so many races we all didnt evolve from primates

  • Well i got monged the fuck out

  • Why do people still not believe in Evolution? It has pretty much been proven true. People ask me in a debate about evolution, "Do you have proof?" I give the short simple proof to them and ask them the same question on why evolution isn't real... they have no answer besides, "It's God" which really sounds like they pulled that outta their asses! You know, people say that humans just kinda popped outta nowhere, but do you see that happening now? NO! It's impossible! Evolution is REAL!!!! Face it!

  • Evolution is false, humans are not primates, they have 2 more chromosomes than humans...therefore we did not evolve..humans were genetically engineered for an experiment by the Anunnakis ,designed for gold mining. They matched their own DNA with Hominoids to create us. Do some research on Zecharia Sitchin . To say humans evolved from apes is worse than believing in a cosmic jewish man.

  • All of what you just said, was a bunch of fairy tale bullshit.

  • emm.. he was clearly joking my friend

  • let us not spoil it.

everytime some Scientology stuff gets posted, it always get flamed.

  • it IS True that we see Micro-evolution.. mutations to small creatures and are thus mutated.. these are evolved creatures. Their genotype has been altered and thus their anatomy and physiology resulting in a 'new' creature. We do not see this same thing with Separated Gene Pools-- Different Species. For example-- such as the Myth that humans evolved from Monkeys. There simply is not enough evidence for that.

  • There also are no fossils to prove that we evolved from monkeys.. This idea is simply far-fetched.. and the truth of the matter is... we should NOT believe what is told to us by anyone. We can only try to come to a Logical and Rational stand point. The God we 'know' from the Christian bible is also not True.. not saying that God does not Exist. Just saying that the Bible has been tampered with. Do not believe the Bible Either. There are people in the world which shield us from the Truth.

  • we didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor with chimps. There are more than a dozen fossil species that show transition between humans and other apes. A good example is australopithecus, basically an ape that could run on its hind legs. You can look the rest up on wikipedia

  • Yes.. we do share a common ancestor. We also share a common ancestor with dogs. and other things on this Earth. In another note.. we also share common amino acids to that of a tree. :) The Transition process from a monkey to -- a Man.. seems to have been sped up .. via 'outside force'..

  • @TheFanOfCrypto138 It is not easy for people to let go of beliefs that they have held for so long. I accept evolution, it is a fact and not a beliefe as you say. Evolution is consistent like gravity and will continue to exist even if we forget all about. People who reject evolution will grow to accept it when they are ready, we cannot force it down their throat. That is what seperates scientists from fundamentalists.

  • @TheFanOfCrypto138 then how did something inanimate turn into life

  • @x69Crunchyx Why does a soap bubble form? Because atomic forces MAKE it form when conditions are right. We know several ways under many different conditions to create protein and lipid microspheres not much more complex than a soap bubble which REPLICATE. They are MORE alive than a virus. And because thet replicate imperfectly, any change that makes them more stable or more efficient at replication will be amplified over time--leading eventually to more complex "life" watch?v=U6QYDdgP9eg

  • @TheFanOfCrypto138 I believe in God and Evolution

  • @nickanthony91 You can't.

  • @rebublicanpower He can.

  • I was taught that mutations can cause for variations to occur, but always in the same species. I was also taught that there is no evidence what-so-ever that would illustrate the claim that cause for new species to emerge. Are there any actual references that prove otherwise?

  • Yes. Google "Observed instances of speciation". The top link is a big list of observed instances where new species have arisen due to the process.

  • Speciation does not warrant biodiversity, nor does it necessarily support "positive" mutations. If I am not mistaken, almost all mutations of genes result in a lesser value/functionality of an existing species. Further does mutation (which is what this video is about) does not produce new species or even new features in existing species (for example; even though men could be better off being able to fly, no genetic mutation will produce wings / feathers on any human being).

  • Comment removed

  • No. If enough mutations build up between two populations with limited or no gene flow between them, odds of reproductive success will drop to zero and they will have speciated by definition.

I'm curious, if you think mutations don't cause speciations (like that observed in Drosophila pseudoobscura) then what does?

  • your right change it habitit

  • Evolution the way Darwin described it is not true, however evolution does occur. Each species improves different systems in their bodies including our brains.since the Earth is a living object, it also evolves and that is why some species disappear and others appear that did not exist before. This, of course, happens in order to meet new needs of the environment and adapt for the purpose of survival.

  • "Since the Earth is a living object, it also evolves"

The Earth is not a living organism and doesn't reproduce. The reason that some species disappear is due to: the environment changes and the species cannot adapt; competing species migrate and conquer their domain - those are 2 reasons. The environment/Earth has no needs; it will continue to exist as a large spinning sphere, regardless of what crawls upon its surface or swims in its seas, until it is eventually swallowed by the sun.

  • Kenotube, The Earth is a Highly complex system comparable to a living organism. But yes, not necesarilly alive as we would define life

  • Yes, Life IS Change.

  • i don't belive in the time god

  • Part 1 - Ahhh M. bhn45r !!! First evolution has nothing to do with luck. What you just saw is a video that shows you how mutation (transformations) appears, and then those mutation IF they are an advantage (like slightly more fur on a rabbit's back that lives up north) then this offspring will have a very small advantage over his brothers and sisters, but an advantage nonetheless...to part2
