  • english teachers trying to import drugs into Japan.

wow - these girls somehow strengthen the impression that I got from english teachers while living in Japan. most of them where in Japan for binge drinking, getting "pussy" and doing retarded things at night.

  • I hate racism.

but JET program is shit.my opinion...

  • I get your pointabout criminals, but you are generalizing things. Japanese-Superiority-Complex people like you, walk around foreign countries and call native people gaijins, as it happend to me! I'm a german, and I was called "gaijin" on GERMAN soil by a old pervy japanese man. That was the moment I lost respect for your folks!!!

  • JET programme was encouraged by the US during economic conflict between Japan and America in 80s.

The US demanded Japan to secure salary to young Americans who were uable to get job in America.

The only skill for English teacher is speaking English, they don't need to speak Japanese. And teacher degree.

But as the US weaken and China rise, JET programme is shifting to Chinese teachers.

  • @NeoTranshuman

Where can I see that stats?

  • I wonder if this sentiment is flourishing in Japan? As I presume most Japanese are not that outspoken about such sentiments, they do act upon it, hence my wondering.

Also, why in the world would anyone do drugs at all :s

You might want to remember this: most gaijin are not druggies.

  • Really needs more nukes: Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Fukushima weren't enough

  • @DMG125

    For what?

Because the guys were arrested for smuggling drugs?(Your friends?)

    Who broke the law?

  • @poodle8noodle because Japanese generalize all foreigners as criminals despite that one's crime doesn't mean all are potential criminals.

Unfortunately, because Japanese have no tolerance towards non-Japanese, they don't care if they are becoming racists thus nukes are the only answer.

  • @DMG125

If Japanese have no tolerance towards non-Japanese, there suppose to be no non-Japanese in Japan now.

However thousands of foreigners are migrating to Japan every year.

  • What are you guys squinting for? It's not even that bright.

  • This kind of blanket judgement just makes me less and less interested in going to Japan or even learning Japanese :/ It's no better than the way people here sometimes treat Mexican immigrants.

  • White pigs Americans go home!!!

  • @kalaslsl americans arent white dumbass

  • Japs, stop mercilessly killing and eating whales, dogs, dolphins and horses; ignorant less civilized ugly dickheads mannnnnnnn~~~~~~

  • @psupccea since when do they eat dogs in Japan? -_-

  • @nicotineplz1 i guess actually they eat everythin' in Japan'; dolphins, whales, raw frog meat or snake meat etc etc...in Japan, they ate dogs during Edo period in Japan.

  • @psupccea

    Dog eating wasn't general.

I have never heard of row frog and snake, can I see primary source about it?

  • @psupccea

Shogun Tsunayoshi prohibited dog eating (Shourui awaremi no rei) in Edo period.

Since then, dog became more like pet rather than ranch animal.

During Tenmei famine, when Kitamachi Bugyou suggested to eat dog meat, people in Edo rioted against that.

Dog meat was pretty common in Asia and Europe anyway.

  • @poodle8noodle I LIKE dog and snake meat buds hahahaah~~~~~~~~~ Dog meat is very tasty man..

  • @psupccea

I do not care what meat you like.

  • You know .. I'm an immigrant to Canada and when I moved there from India, I always felt welcomed. I've faced racism, but, no one has ever told me I should go back to my own country because I am ruining my new living spot.

I think the person who said foreigners are damaging Japan is very wrong. This person is assuming everyone from the JET is the same. Some accept and do abide the laws. Look at BusanKevin's channel. He loves Asia and follows all the rules.

    Just my opinion.

  • i hate to break it to all of you native japanese people, but most of the people who leave america to teach english in japan do so because they no longer want to be a part of the ugliness that america represents. we want to come to your country because we value your culture and wish to learn while at the same time offering our knowledge to you.

  • I am going over to Japan as an ALT starting in about two weeks and just from reading your comment, I find your attitude to be very condescending towards foreigners.

You say many of us cannot find jobs in our home countries to which I say bullshit. Many people are QUITTING their jobs so that they can go to a country they love/are interested in to HELP Japanese people with English and to share and exchange different cultural aspects. People do not go on JET because they cannot find employment.

  • Japanese are so primitive with the way they still think of everyone else as outsiders sullying their country. They need to come into the 21st century like everyone else.

  • @canisdormit Your Honky ignorance is overwhelming. Japan had technology to make nuclear weapons many times the destructive power of Amekoh Honkies made. But Japan had senses, and never attacked civilians, unlike barbaric White Monkeys. You hairy monkeys plundered, raped, and massacred millions of Native Americans. And you morons never learned the lesson, doing the same in Afghanistan and else. Amekoh Whitepigs should be annihilated from the earth for the sake of the rest of human beings.

  • @MsModernDay hairy white monkeys killed your ancestors with eas and plucked you homosexual emperor from his sky perch, so must be you are less than the white apes hahaha, you slanty eyed shit eater. Are you growing a third arm yet you irradiated sack of shit?

  • @canisdormit You honkies are Albinos, with Franken horsefaces, gigantic noses, squashed eye-sockets, hollow faces of Moai, stench as strong as sewage and low IQs. Just go to hell or go back to freezing caves in Europe and get the hell out of North America. Japan does not welcome Honkies either, so get lost.

  • @MsModernDay white monkies have dominated your culture. Japan is the shitheel of america, we stripped away your culture and repaced it with western consumerism. How does it feel to be congured by the white monkies, you slanty eyed pancakeface?

  • @MsModernDay

i hope n.koreans to nuke ur ass hard dickweed....

  • I agree with this video, there is a lot of idiotic gaijin who are ruining it for other gaijin. But that said there is also a lot of idiotic Japanese living in Japan and also living in Australia (where I am from) but that doesn't mean I have to go nuts and post a video about it and going on about hating them.

Also you talk about speaking the native tongue here in Japan , yes I agree also but you know Japanese will only be useful in Japan, while English is useful around the world, think about that.

  • All these ALTs, JET programmes and private English schools and the Japanese still can't speak English. The child beggars in Peru can speak better English than the average Japanese, who studies with a native speaker in English class for six years.

  • not everyone is bad like them..

  • Thank Kami-Sama someone is standing up to these subhuman English pieces of shit. How dare the fat Americans invade Japan and ruin our culture. Americans are pigs and dogs!

  • @chafenhimer Pigs and dogs who nuked u, and now tell u what to do and u gladly accept, whores

  • @chafenhimer What do you mean "your" culture? I just watched some of your videos and you look like a fat American to me...

  • @lankeysob im japsneses

  • @chafenhimer Australians and Europeans too!

  • u hate foreigners? nice, very deep. u do realize that in any other country than japan u are a foreigner urself. so what now? should we all just hate each other for ur bullshit reasoning? grow up, u prick

  • We aren't all bad and some of us really do want to learn the language and learn how to behave properly while in Japan. This is a very unfortunate, horrid thing these people have done. Gaijin/foreigners are guests in the country and should be respective, humble and follow the law.

  • @indigopocky Nice hospitality there. Guests are to be honored, not humbled.

  • I'm sorry you feel that way about all foreigners and that many must have left this impression on you. I hope that I can influence the people I meet and work with in Japan in a positive way. I admit, I may not be a "qualified" teacher but I have experience working with kids and tutoring. My main goal on going is to have hands on experience with the language, as I am currently a Japanese Language major. Please be open minded about gaijin.

  • you mad because you guys have little dicks and your women cheat on you with us =x

  • just enjoy the arguements LOL.. hahahaha, so many controversy.. Good timess!!

  • You got issues 日本人。If you hate all gaijins then you are racist. I am an ALT well qualified with a degree in English and TESOL. Closed minded people like you are the reasons there is war and suffering in the world. Strive for change within yourself and learn to LOVE.

  • @robertc190 not trying to be closed minded here -.- but no matter where you are what nationality you are there will all ways be racism, so learn to ignore it and think that they are ignorant

  • Just because these gaijin's are idiots who have commited a crime it doesn't mean all gaijin are bad..... It's just like I have met many stupid Japanese people in Australia and in Japan but I don't think they are all the same.

It's close minded people like you that problems like this worse than they are. Isn't of being open minded and think ok well there is bad people and good people on all parts of the world, you go ahead and start judging people left right and centre without knowing them sad :(

  • I'm sure we'll hear a vlog from TheJapanChannelDCom about this soon.

  • The irony is that you behave the same way the people you talk about behave.

    Are there stupid "gajin"

Yes, stupid people are everywhere, no news there.

And as you have proven, in Japan too!

The interesting part is that you are about the first of that sort i have seen so far, so Japan is in regard of politeness still ahead!

  • oh please almost all foreigners (mostly white) are asshole perverts in any asian country..... fuck them all........ for the few that are respectable people who do not take advantage of the fact they are white, kudos to you.

  • @KoolJayJ you are right to say that many white foreigners are perverts is Asian countries...you know why because the sickos can get away with it there because it is not tolerated in north america...however mistreating women and children is welcomed in these countries..they go where it is aloud....sadly that tells you a lot about the culture and where its true nobility is...certainly not in its people but in a false image of a countries morals that are not real....very sad!

  • The Japanese dont have an army so they should mind their manners or we will nuke them again. Americans in Japan are your boss and they can do what they want. You are a defeated nation. You lost the war and surrendered like cowards. Shame on you.

  • @soccermomization That's a harsh statement. Especially being called a defeated nation. What part of their economy exceeding the dollar in today's market makes them a defeated nation? I agree that they shouldn't have taken this out on everyone who wants to teach in japan but don't fortify the example that westeners are aggressive and irreverent.

  • @soccermomization You should be dead

  • Yeah, I agree that the girls are way out of order and do give foreigners a bad name but I dont understand how some people can be so narrow-minded. The MAJORITY of foreigners that go to japan to teach or live do so because they want to integrate into japanese society, there is no Economic or Civil reasons that are causing the british and americans and most developed nationalities to go there. This video is borderline racist and would not be condoned in the uk, because we are tolerant of "Gaijin"!

  • @goodmanj funny hearin that, foreigners should learn the place there goin to and you know what i think, japanese are too naive/nice.

  • Some of us have a very high appreciation of Japanese culture and look forward to living and working in Japan instead of just visiting. Many of us are experienced adults. The MEd is an expensive thing to attain here in the USA. I have found in my own profession that two months of working in my profession taught me more than I learned about it in two years of college. I suspect the same is true with the MEd. I am leaning Japanese but am looking for a total immersion experience.

  • I agree with what this person is saying, almost all gaijin who go to japan are too ignorant to leave their bad habits behind in their own countries and try to ruin the sanctity of japan's long standing culture. Americans especially shouldn't be insulted by this, because when another culture comes into our community, refuses to speak English, and does things their own way whether its destructive or not, even we get annoyed.

  • @macrosspilot I think of all geijin that come to Japan JET/teaching assistant are the least to be so untoward and disgraceful to their society, they go to learn more about it. They have a keen interest, and they acknowledge their different culture, they do not go to disrupt. This is an isolated case. Although i do find it bizarre how these 2 characters made it through the cut.

  • Like I said, almost all who go. The select few that actually stay and live as members of society are usually very respectful and do their best to blend in, which is the proper way; however, these people are rare. The latter just go for vacation and pleasure, don't bother to learn the language, and sometimes bring the wrong mindset all together, making things very uncomfortable for the people around them. which is why there is almost zero tolerance for gaijin who make trouble in Japan.

  • another little hitler japanese upload, oh yes i forgot, japanese people dont commit crimes and the drugs in japan are not controlled by the yakuza.... silly me...

Japanese crime rate is so high but that gets swept under the carpet because you are fucking racist little cunts...

  • Don't let your favorite/loved Anime characters ruined by the racist, selfish and ignorant western cosplayers who having fun by keep ruining your favorite/loved Anime characters. Band with many other Anime fans on the Anti Western Cosplayers group :

    youtube . com/group/AntiWesternCosplayer

  • @ProudCutePureAsian Troll, just die in a fire already, you and the racist piece of shit who uploaded this stupid ass video, which everyone dislikes.

  • A lot of countries used native English speakers for learning, even if the native English speaker doesn't know the national language.

  • OUTSTANDING

  • What ... some English teachers in Japan cannot speak English?

I am not native English (and not native Japanese), but still I know, that the crime rate of foreign people in Japan is higher then the average crime rate of Japan (which is one of the world's lowest), but still I expect from you not to call me a criminal, just because some English teacher was ... and I am a "gaijin" ...

I am really unsure what I should think about this ..

  • @Nederdien When you say the crime rate of foreign people in Japan is higher than average crime rate of Japan you are generalizing...amongst chinese and brazilians it is higher but not other nationalities. # Chinese (0.428%) # Brazilians (0.351%) # Japanese (0.291%) # Russians (0.271%) # Philippinos (0.101%) # Thais (0,051%) # Koreans (0.024%) # Britons (0.021%) # Americans (0.016%)
  • @sEiGoSaYgO

well, I mainly based that on what other people mainly japanese told me ..

but your data seems more relevant ...

    where did you find it?

  • @Nederdien

its from Japan Statistical Bureau...i will send you a link to the site i got this data

  • @sEiGoSaYgO

Thank ya, I really liked this article ...

I would like to know, what japanese say to this ...

  • @Nederdien

Unfortunately, like every other country there are also some truly racist (or gullible) Japanese. I have shown this data and data from National Police Agency before...but then told the Japanese Statistical Bureau and Japanese National Police Agency statistics are wrong...funny, seeing none of those people are able to provide statistics to back their claims! LOL!

  • eveb though im not japanese, i agree with totally with you.

im portuguese, but currently studying in england, and im aiming to study japanese and politics at SOAS university(im still 17 yrs old)

i find quite stupid for people to go to a country without learning the language. disgracefull.

i hope that this dosen't affect the whole image of gaijins that japanese people have...

(if they couldnt even get a living on their own country, why go to another country???)

  • oKAY first of all the yakuza are the only ones that have that drug out in japan so that means the american was paid to smuggle that in duh so don't say I hate gajins ok nuff said.

  • Fuckin English teachers lol...every one Ive ever met were wierd freaken dudes lol

  • I find it hard to believe that every foreigner in Japan is a negative influence.

  • And, like it or not, Japan has become a member of an international community. Thankfully, it has not been ripped open and torn apart by the forces of internationalization, yet, but Japan (at this time) can't survive without global participation... so some number of foreign residents is unavoidable.

  • Finally, anyone who uses this video as the basis on which to wage the argument that all foreigners in Japan are bad is not a thinking person. Plain. And Simple.

Japanese commit these sorts of crimes too.

  • There are examples of "bad foreigners" in Japan. For example, those who seek to change Japan for their own benefit, to the disadvantage of Native Japanese people.

Also, those inhabitants of certain neighborhoods, like Roppongi and Kabukicho, who participate in the seedy and dangerous elements of the Tokyo nightlife : the so-called "flyers" of Roppongi, etc...

Most foreigners here, however, are just living their lives, in a non-destructive way.

  • Now, to continue : this video is showing an extreme example of one "bad-apple" foreigner living in Japan. Using this person as an example of ALL FOREIGNERS living here is ridiculous.

I am a foreigner living in Japan. I don't break the law. I don't steal from Japanese society. In fact, I believe I am contributing my fair share to Japan by working hard every day and being a peaceful resident.

  • I just want to contribute something to this conversation which is, unfortunately, highly charged and confrontational.

Japan is a fantastic place to live. There are some obstacles to living here as a foreigner, including the obvious language barrier. However, learning Japanese is a lot of fun... and aside from the written language, it is a remarkably easy language to learn to speak, especially when compared to English. In addition, many people, especially in Tokyo, speak English.

  • Agijintedekei, this is the year 2009, how can the world be better if there is uneccessary predujice, and refusal to integrate?

I do agree however with raising the standards and requirements needed for teachers, including of course, learning more Nihongo.

  • disgusting. I hope that Japanese do not judge other gaijin as a result of this behaviour.

I am from Scotland and I know that nobody would do that here. I also know that the majority of JETs from America would not even think of such things. This is a disappointing exception and I hope that it is never repeated.

I'm very sad to see this has happened.

  • I personally do not ever want to or expect to be accepted as Japanese. I think it will never happen and that is ok. I feel as long as I am treated with the same respect that I give then things are alright.

I am not here to convince you not to hate all gaijin, that's up to you. I'm here for my students, they are my priority. If ALTs were not here I shudder to think they may grow just as ignorant and spiteful as you, in a country that cannot afford that way of thinking for too much longer.

  • one last thing, as for you stating that gaijins refuse to learn english. To us japanese is a very intimidating language to learn. There are those of us who really enjoy learning the language and work hard at it in hopes that one day they can be accepted as japanese and not have a language barrier standing between them.

then there are those who choose not to learn japanese because english is part of their culture. sure its not the best reason, but to each his own.

    get off your high horse.

  • totally ignoranece.

you say that while your militiary has been in japan for over 50 years. japan stuck in so called American Alliance.. you americans are the one on the high supremacist horse...japanese learn english because compelled to do so.. you gaijin white people have free option to learn japanese or not.. most not.... you are privileged with your white status.

get off your highest of all horses

  • I never once mentioned the military nor do I have any ties with the military, do not take me and make me your scapegoat for your problems with america. It is not my fault that English is one of the most widely used languages and that I just happened to be born an american who naturally speaks english.

I choose to learn japanese as a language and hopefully I can learn japanese customs and traditions as well as I hope to one day be accepted by the japanese as a whole.

  • But I know that I may have to fight for that acceptance and that is something I am willing to do. I will not fight with knives and guns but instead with my intelligence and reasoning. Everything I have done to learn japanese was not just handed to me, it is something I fought for and earned with the sweat of my own brow so don't just say that we are automatically given the option of it. No one provided me with that option, I chose it myself.

I will not be your scapegoat, we can be reasonable

  • and the reason I care about this is that the original poster of this video took it and tried to use it to blame every single foreigner that has ever been in japan or hopes to go to japan. I would be the same as if a Japanese man was caught selling drugs and I cam and posted the video of his capture and made it a rallying point for why japanese should not be allowed into america. blaming everyone for one persons mistake is what can easily start a war.

  • you are totally correct!

btw im american, black, and i must say you hit the nail on the proverbial head.

  • it's true, some people will do terrible things. but not all of them.

I hope that with the change in the education system which requires that 5th and 6th graders be taught English will improve the program. But regardless of it, it is possible for japanese students to graduate and speak basic english and they would be able to survive in the us if they chose to.

just as you dont like people bad mouthing japan, americans dont like it when you bad mouth the usa either. its just as rude both ways

  • yes it is terrible that this teacher was smuggling drugs. However that does not mean that all gaijins would ever do such a thing. Thats the same as saying if a japanese teacher came to the usa and murdered someone then all of them must be murderers.

I am a gaijin currently and I am very insulted by your racist opinions of us. so what? we're different then you? If we weren't different it would a very boring world.

However I know that you are the exception to the rule as were those teachers.

  • I agree it's a problem that gaijin are not able to speak japanese. But I have a problem with you accusing all gaijin of being criminals. To get a visa in japan you need to have a degree so gaijin working japan are higly educated individuals, there are some who ruin it for other but 90% work hard.

America and the UK has its problems with unskilled foreingers just look at the amount of people who can't speak English in the USA, they can still get citizenship.

  • I've watched the video - thanks for bringing it to my attention. I won't be approving it as a response video to my vids tho.

  • So if CLAIR, the organisers of the program, have said that this program is about intercultural education, by what authority do you say it is more about English. I agree that it is about "education" as you say, but the focus is internationalisation, language education is an also necessary, but not the primary goal of JETs.

  • To be perfectly fair, the JET program costs a lot, and it doesn't entirely make sense without a much broader overhaul of the English education system. Putting JETs into a broken English education system is basically just sending more money into a black pit.

Seriously, who here teaches high school and can honestly say that their children will have decent English when they graduate?

  • The point of the Jet programme is not English teaching. It is rather to teach about foreign culture, and help foster multiculturalism in Japan. I do agree that an overhaul of the English system in Japan is necessary though.

  • Oh, I've heard the 'internationalization' schtick before. I sat through all the CLAIR presentations in Tokyo.

A very large portion of the JET programme IS about education, though. Paying a bunch of 20-somethings money to 'internationalise' is a bit of a stretch, even for the spend happy Japanese government. I'm pretty confident it's more about education, and less about internationalization.

Things are getting better now that they teach english from shogakko, but they still have a way to go.

  • The mission statement of the programme is to:

"increase mutual understanding between the people of Japan and the people of other nations, to promote internationalisation in Japan's local communities by helping to improve foreign language education, and to develop international exchange at the community level."

the focus in this statement seems to me to be on internationalisation.

  • I completely agree! The system for learning and teaching English to Japanese kids is terrible!

I have seen it first hand, and I think it's very much a socio-cultural thing too. The kids never disagree with teacher's horrible pronunciation or right out faults, and if a couple of students accidentally get good at speaking English - they hide it in fear of being "outside the group".

  • Oh what, are Japanese people perfect then?

  • agijintedekei isn't Japanese. He is a Gaijin himself. He is only pretending to be Japanese to try and strengthen his point. What a sad and pitiful human being.

  • I do not mean to get caught in an argument about this, but the comment in you video summary about hating gaijin just for them being in "your country". I'm not saying that I condone drug use or that I think it was good that these particular people broke the law, of course that's not ok. You are trying to connect one isolated incident with your racism to make a black and white case. Bullshit. YOU are the one giving Japan a bad name by pretty much spitting on anyone who isn't Japanese...

  • @ensortion Well said.

  • As a JET in Okinawa I find the message you wrote to other JETs appalling. Yes I am certified in TESOL and my degree is in Education, and I try my best. I do not know Japanese, but I spend 3 hours a day learning. What these girls did was against the law yes, but I cannot believe that you say you hate all gaijin because of two girls. Please take time to get to know foreigners before you decide to hate them. We don't paint all japanese with the same brush, and we wish you wouldn't do it to us
