I think these shows has a formula. Take (o.k., just take for instance) the Partridge Family. The music was for the kids, but the humor and the plot of the episode and the jokes were for the adults. Ditto with Laverne and Shirley--their hijinks were for the kiddies, but the stuff that Lenny and Squiggy did, was for the adults. I don't know how the people standing by could keep from laughing while Lenny and Squiggy were doing this hilarious bit.

Every time N@N airs one of these episodes, they have to pay a certain amount to CBS, as they bought out the shares to Paramount's television programs.
