  • Awesome cover dude. Ive gotta play this at work tomorrow. lol

  • brilliant mate

  • i know the granddaughter of george formby and im learning this song for her birthday :)

  • @itsmejames12221

he didnt have any sons or daughters though, let alone granddaughters

  • @BOT101st i would like to know how you could possibly know that??

  • @itsmejames12221

He said in his "friday night show" or something called that he never had any children. Im only going by what he said so yeah.

  • sing in a lancashire accent.

  • I'll try to next time I promise!

  • lol That's brilliant. I just got a uke but I'm not getting it at all. I keep going to play guitar chords on it and it's a bit annoying, but i will stick with it. I want to learn this song lol.

  • Well, it's different. You're playing it like a guitar and you've changed a couple of chords (intentional?) - not bad but I'd recommend watching wardsoft's version to get the correct chords.

  • Ta for the comment. Yep, I fancied a bit of a dimished chord in there for a laugh... the charts I looked at didn't sound right so I altered them. Watching the video again it almost looks like I'm holding a plectrum doesnt it....

  • Nice one Rick. I see you're a Bath Hotel man. It used to be my local till I left Morecambe 20 years ago. There's a fair change George Formby had the odd pint in there too since the Winter Gardens is just round the corner.

  • Nice one!

  • Hi there. Great song and a great cover! I've been playing uke a little lately - anyway i was wondering if you had any tabs of how the chords translate to guitar - i'm interested in doing a version. I know I can figure the chords out myself from your web version but if you had any tabs that'd be great man.

    cheers.

  • Nice work

  • Good job! :-D

  • i thought this'd be rubbish.

    it's actually really good.

  • This is just fantastic, great job!

    What chords are you playing?

  • I think it sounds good, your uke playing is really good

  • Are you a dwarf?

Like fuck you would be able to clean windows!

  • Awesome!

  • Very good mate i recon it was best played on the "Uke" banjo but still brilliant. well done:)

  • Well i can only say two things about this you have mucked up your sound your voine is not loud enough. And that to all of those people that have sed that it is just like the original well that is because it is supost to sound like the original because that is the acual song

  • Clueless. Simple.

  • What in heck are you saying, is he singing too soft, or does he sound like the origional, are you saying he mucked it up or did it the way it was 1st done... Not to argue or come across as being cross, but what?

  • your version's great! sounds the closest to the original I've ever heard... (the uke bit I mean, the singing is as you poited out perfectly trademarked with the "windOws";) ). Brilliant!

  • I read the description, but still, it's pronounced 'windas'! lol, great cover ^^

  • you legend!

you have an ovation ukulele! sweet. is it nice to play?
