@snapsi321 it's already avaible in Europe it came to europe 2 years ago LOL! It great phone, you can boot any OS you want, you can even have 2 OS at the same time, battery lasts 1-2days :)

good thing with this phone you can dual boot it, so example, u can have it run windows mobile/or android and choose what os to load at startup,

This phone is amazing.

I´ve had it for half a year now, and I´m using it completely as a notebook in college. It is just amazing, with a custom ROM the battery life is up to 6-7 houres of really heavy business usage.

No doubt this is an amazing phone, i was unfortunate and dropped mine and broke the screen i felt like crying. However, XDA have just a few days ago been succsessful in porting wp7 on the HD2. now whats left is supported drivers.

@HighT3chDad i suppose it depends what you want, android or windows. i have the htc hd2 in the vid, but with all the latest updates and it is awsome. I have a cooky screen on it so its 100% customisable without looking all its greatness. most younger kids love the desire and wildfire, ive used them both and there both brilliant, but i need alot on the phone for work so brought this one ;) AWSOME, kicks iphone4's ass

Is there a feature to lock your contact list. I really dislike when people ask to see my device and the go straight for my contact list. "What are they looking for?" There nothing but numbers of people or places I call. : ) I hope this is a feature.

u need to understand that the way the camera lens looks makes the ringer on the phone louder when it rings unlike when it's just flat, a lot of people don't realise that. if the speaker was on the side, the design on the back would have been different.

Honestly, there is nothing better looking then Sense UI out there...true, the good looks are power driven, but HD2 has plenty to spare. THIS SIMPLY IS A BEST PHONE OUT THERE. PERIOD!...with all due respect to the rest of manufacturers. Over&Out :D

@DarkSkysify Well, where should I start...Yes, WinMo has Market with apps (official), than there is Omarket (unofficial) with more free apps and finally there is internet with truckloads of apps i.e. try to search for hd2apps blogspot or XDA, and hold on to your chair ;). Hope this helps with your decision!

Excellent post!!!. Thanks for your contribution to the awareness of this fantastic device. I am going to be getting this as soon as it hit TMO stores, replacing my Nokia N900. I will miss Nokia but this phone has it all. MS just confirmed that Windows Phone 7 will not be released for this bad boy, but you gotta ask yourself: "Is there really anything wrong with HTC SENSE?". In my opinion, Sense is the most impressive UI out there!!!. Nevertheless, XDA will bring WP7 to this guy no matter what :D

NP, If anyone would like to read more about confirmation from MS that WP7 will not be available for HD2, there is an article in March 15th Engadget`s blog.

I am convinced that this sort of killer hardware simply cannot and won`t be left behind no matter what. N900, Nexus One, iPhone etc....they all have their own strengths but HD2 is the only one with 4.3" window to it`s 1GHZ Snapdragon`s Soul :). Btw, that sony cam records truly fine videos! Kudos. March 24th...HTC FTW!!!

@HighT3chDad Microsoft did confirm that yes, but the HD is still seen in the WP7 promo video... so that might meen it will still support it?... And im sure the guys at XDA will create a WP7 rom for HD2 in no time, gotta love those guys.
