I've now watched enough of these informational saber videos to know that the 'first zone' is an attack straight from the en guarde position and that any extra movement from this zone is considered attack no. Is there any other zones in saber and if so is it possible to give a brief description of them. I've only started fencing saber some three months ago so any little bit of information would be nice
@Crypton16 the "first zone" is just a label that i use to describe the first action in which the director says ready, fence. the only reason the "first zone" is any different from the rest of the strip is because at this point neither fencer has a clear right of way so the calls at this point are slightly different than they are at any other point during an exchange once right of way has been established. some people refer to this as the first action or the box
@TrblQueen im not saying he is like a robot, the timing for his distance pull fake is incredible. what i am saying is that his preparations are all the same. if you think that means im calling him a robot then yes i am
thanks for the videos, keep'em coming. they're great help. your comments on this waiting style in the center are dead on. could you do some more on this specific part of saber fencing?
Dude i love ur videos and i love the analysis.
But most of all where do you get your soundtracks from??? They're wicked!!
