Thanks to everyone for the attention on our album. There is a website: myspacedotcomslashorangutan1970 with some updated info. on the old geezers in the band! we're all still alive and kicking! :) Best Regards, Mick Clarke
@mickclarkemusic Man you guys rule so hardcore! I'm 16 and trying to get a band together to make music like this and destroy this crap everyone else listens to nowadays. If I make it, you guys were a huge inspiration. Thanks!
this album is somewhere in northern New Jersey with a few marijuana seeds still stuck way down in the big cardboard sleeve in a guy named Scott McDonald's house. Believe me, its there, somewhere, as all things are, somewhere. Always dug that lick at 2:23-@@2:25. yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@3rdStoneObliterum two years ago my brother pulled out an album and goes that's where my Deep Purple record went. He opened the gatefold and 20+ year old weed fell out.
Sounds like Trapeze! I love this period of music, I call it "underground FM radio rawk", it's my guilty pleasure. Loved listening to free-form radio back then when I was a kid...you could still hear stuff like this on the radio, before it all became corporate. The best period for "rock" albums was 1969-1971, with a huge amount of classic LP's coming out during that time, especially 69-70!
i was looking for years for this song! somehow had the album for a few months back in 1979. Then a friend of a friend had to buy some pot, so I, then 16, put it in the album cover of this album and used it as a cover to put the pot in, sold it to my friend's friend named Scott McDonald, who then left my house looking like he was only carrying an album! Always wondered if anyone on earth ever heard of this album and esp. this song and Chocolate Piano. Unbelievable its here! Thanks so much.
This sounds more like Leaf Hound from their album "Growers of Mushrooms"

Vocals are like a rough-edged early Geddy Lee, music's like a combo of Rush and Zepplin; good stuff I'd say.

@kemicon that is an awesome story. maybe that will still have some kick to it: put it in a steam room :)
3rdStoneObliterum 9 months ago
@3rdStoneObliterum there's a good chance this album is worth a princely sum if in decent condition you should liberate it from your friends house.
