I needed to hear this so much especially today Praise God for providing me with what I need. This has confirmed everything that I have been doing. And has reminded me that I am not alone and although I am right now walking in the dark I am not the Father is carrying me through this dark storm telling me the way a Father only has that HE loves me and we are going to make it because HE knows the way home and HE loves me. It's awesome to finally have the knowledge including in my heart

@marcito914 It is my opinion that belief in God is something that is either is in us, or it's not. I can't imagine that there would be no God just the same as you believe only what your eyes can see. Sometimes the revelation comes when we finally admit that some of our greatest challenges come from things that are unseen, (depression, fear, anxiety, etc.), and that the only complete remedy comes from the unseen as well. May you see God when your time of need comes. All the best to you.

Like Rob didn't cause the storm, God does cause storms to sweep through our lives they are a result of the conflict between good and evil (God and Satan). However, we are closer to God's heart than any being in the universe because of those storms that we've weathered with Him. And although, God dislikes storms as much as we do at the same time they are special experiences because they gave Him a chance to hold us closer to His heart. That's so cool...
This is so beautiful. I know God has a plan for all of us and He wants us to seek Him 100% of the time, not just when it rains on us. Our God is so good, I can't wait to meet Him!!!!!

Rob didn't know that the storm was coming, so he could not claim to have planned it to have an intimate experience. God does know the storm is coming, and here's his response, in Luke 11:11-13:
“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
The storm in that parable is not talking about the hardships of life. It's talking about the shakiness that comes from Satan himself attacking us through our own flesh from the inside out. People can survive ordinary hardships without God....just look at the Great Depression or a teenager going through a tough breakup. People CANNOT survive their own thoughts and doubts without building their faith on the very Jesus that taught the faith.
Jesus, not the teachings of any ordinary man. *hint*
