Me and my dad don't get along well, but he's always been there for me. Helps me when I need it. He's protective, thinks I can't do things on my own. He cares about me and my three other siblings. Gives us money when we really need it. I've lied to him a lot. Told him I've hated him. Listened to him tell me he doesn't want me. He's disowned me, but, he never leaves us. He's back for good. He has health problems and I hope he'll be there for my wedding on my 18th birthday with my boyfriend Chris.

I have never known my father, because he and my mother had a little fight and then just ran of. And that's before I was born. I have tried to find him, but it's not that easy when your father's name is so common! I wished I had a father:(

I know because a good friend of mine found her father, a week before her wedding so that she'd get a father daughter dance. The bastard told her the reason he left was so that'd he didn't have to see her. Anyway, don't give up and i hope he loves you as much as im sure you love him.

Having a dad, I guess the easiest way to say it, is like having an anchor in life. You know he can be there when you need it, and you know you'll be there when he needs you. He can be your best friend, your closest ally, and someone who will love you, no matter what.

He's the giant who stands over you when you cross the line, and he's the teddy-bear to hold you when you're lost in the world. No matter how old you get, he'll always see you as his little girl, even though he knows he has to let you go....that doesn't mean he's going to make it easy for you though!
@BloodyFlesh626 Because (hopefully) the parent has poured his/her intire life into raising their child. We are their offspring, their genes, a part of them that they have given life to. And yes I have a father, TWO actually. (three if we're getting religious)

The first thing I really knew about my daddy was when he got me, he counted my fingers and toes to make sure I was all there. xD Growing up I didn't have brothers. I found out about two half brothers at age 18. I love them both dearly, but it's different than the connection I have with my dad. It's hard to explain...I like to ruffle my lil bros hair and climb with them and stuff (i'm 21 xp), but with my dad...he's my best friend.

I owe it all to him... he made me who I am today.
