If it is over 100 yrs later I don't think there would still be the same armor suits being worn by them that had been worn by the Storm Troopers of good old Darth Minions---the suits would have changed. Just like US MIlitary Uniforms today are not the same uniforms they wore 100 yrs ago, nor the blaster wpns or effects.

Example the film TOTAL RECALL was totally silly as it had to be at least 50-100 yrs into the future, yet they were using handguns from the 20th Century. That would like having a modern day shootout between the police and bad guys and they are still using the black power wpns of the Earp and Clanton era (1881), including level action Winchesters!

@rangeclerk It was a movie after all. Still, if u look back in history u will see that many things stay as they are for even hundreds of years--it doesnt have to be about weapons. Not everything developes every so 50, 100, or so years. I think our current handhelds will stay as they are for a LONG time. I have seen such matter in other films, where I have to think 'would it still be like that?' Sometimes its yes, it would be. We really dont know: we can only speculate.

@vocaltalent1 Technolgy always moves "forward" not backward unless there is a "Dark Ages" which when SW first showed up implied; is what they were living in because of the EMPIRE and the rebels were trying to attack this Dark Ages and return the Galaxy to moving forward, not backward. There's "Dark Resurrection" I would recommend to you. It's a two parts movie, each on one hour durance. However the second part isn't ready yet, but they are so good that even the people from Lucasarts themselves said that it's awesome. Very professional made fan-movies with a budget of 7000€. I was amazed!

Shot on location means that if the film is set in New Zealand, it is filmed in New Zealand and not some place that might look like New Zealand.

Therefore, shot on location means you actually went to Yavin, Alderaan or wherever to film this movie. (Yes I know Alderaan was destroyed in ANH, just using a planet everyone can recognize.)
