By definition immortality means; deathless, everlasting, eternal, having no beginning or end, diety, divine. Jesus is divine. Only God is immortal 1Tim6:14-16. Jesus was before the foundation of the world 1Pet1:20. Jesus said "Before Abraham was I AM" Jn8:58. Mary was mortal. She had a beginning and end. Shes dead. The apparitions of Mary are deceptions. Who are we to believe, God through His Word or a familiar spirit that impersonates the dead? Thank you
I would also say that The Blessed Virgin Mary is also immortal in our minds & that the messages people say they have received from her have only requested that we pray. 4 what purpose U may ask. World Peace. I think that's a good thing.
I believe in my heart that she has sent messages & that she can & also believe others can as well. There is an ultimate spiritual GOD I think we all share at the end of the day. Is that bad? One father or mother for all of us here on Earth? We r not deceived. U wont know the truth or anyone for that matter until we pass on. So no one person can say they know the truth. But the Blessed Virgin Mary & her my Jesus who we say is the son of God stands 4 all that is good. Is that bad? Thank you
Immortality can also B used abstractly as a memory everlasting. Yes Mary was mortal. The Catholic faith does not say she wasn't. An apparition of Mary does not surprise me. She is that more powerful a Spirit to be able to come back & send messages. Everyone from all over this mortal Earth has or does believe internally of something spiritual. Either you believe or don't & that is your free will. I feel sad 4 those who can not believe what they want to. It's always healthy 2 question.
You agree Mary was mortal yet at the same time you say her spirit came back to send messages. The discussion now focuses on whether or not the spirit of a dead person continues on as a conscious personality in a disembodied state. If you are saying the spirit does indeed continue on in this state then I respectfully disagree based on the Word of God. If you are willing to pursue this matter through a scripture based discussion I am open.
Yes i agree Mary was mortal & she passed over. The church explains that she ascended. Which means she ascended into Heaven directly without dying first. That's what the definition says. I personally have no problem with questioning scripture just because I am human and I think it's normal to question ideas like that. But from my own personal experience I believe yes someone can communicate somehow after they have passed on. Did you hear yourself the voice of GOD tell you that or only read this?
I'm not being wise about that just trying 2 let u understand my personal perspective. We all know scriptures & historic documents have been altered throughout the history of mankind so much & could have been changed to suit the times & needs of certain cultures @ periods of times for numerous reasons like control ect... In my heart though I believe in The Blessed Virgin Mary & that she has been reaching out from somewhere 2 help us all. In other cultures it could B the vision of someone else.
There is no record in the Bible that Mary was translated. If a marvelous event such as this had occurred it most certainly would have been recorded just as Enoch & Elijah were. I trust the Bible. The dogmas of the RCC concerning the history of Mary were not written until the 5th century AD. This sends up a red flag for me. God sent His Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth Jn16:13,14. and He teaches us and brings to remembrance the words Jesus spoke Jn14:26. Talk to Jesus not an app. of Mary
I talk 2 anyone who will listen @ this point. Of course I talk 2 Jesus. I talk 2 all of them 2 cover all my bases. The bottom line is over time history has had the habit of changing. There's so much left out here & there on so many things. Believe what your heart feels. Even in the darkest hours of my life I felt the best thing 2 do was 2 pray & it helped. I feel sad for a lot of the youth today who seem 2 not believe in anything. They don't pray to anyone. They don't have anyone to talk 2.
Here are some bible verses to consider; Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy rightteous judgements endure for ever Ps119:160. The words of the Lord are pure as silver tried in a furnace purifed 7 times Ps12:6,7. The things written long ago are 4 our learning that we through patience & comfort of the scriptures might have hope Rom15:4. What we speak are not man's wisdom but the Holy Spirit's wisdom 1Cor2:13. God's Word is truth Jn17:17. We can trust God's Word.
What are the characteristics of death? Put not your trust in man in whom there is no help. His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth in that very day his thoughts perish Ps146:3,4. The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence Ps115:17. King David didn't ascend to heaven when he died Acts2:34. In death there is no remembrance of God: who shall give him praise? The dead know nothing Eccl9:5. Mary and anyone else who as died can't speak to us. Apparitions are deceptions.
Jesus decribes death as sleep Jn11:11-14. When will the dead be able to listen & speak again? Paul writes; But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died & rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive & remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them (cont)
which sleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the Trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise 1st: Then we which are alive & remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort on another with these words 1Th4:13-18. Talk to Jesus. Dead people can't listen or speak until the resurrection
Thank you for those verses. Very comforting really & words of wisdom. "through patience & comfort of the scriptures might have hope" is great! Yes we can trust the God's Word.
These verses comfort me as well. Here is one more. And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea who upon coming there went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica in that they received the Word with readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, to see for themselves if the words were true. Acts17:10,11. Keep studying the bible and learning more about Jesus. We will always learn new and wonderful truths there GBU!
Can I ask you this potooth you have been on you tube since 2006 but only 2 channel views. No other activity. And you chose to watch this video. I am happy you have chosen this video as one to make a comment on. It must have caught your eye or interest for a reason.
This is just incredible footage. In none, however, have I seen the Chapel of the Apparitions which was the more rustic one. Thanks to whoever posted these scenes from the Holy Year.
