talented but does nothing for me, to be honest. She got to sing with her "so-called" idol but all she ever does is sing Whitney songs. No one has ever been able to enterpret a song like Whitney and no one ever will. She sings well, but she is definetely NO WHITNEY!!! As if being an incredible singer weren't enough, Charice is sweet and completely unpretentious. If you knew the hardships that this girl had to overcome and her perseverance in pursuit of her dream, you'd be moved to tears. I had the great privilege & pleasure of seeing her in Las Vegas on May 9 & attending her 17th birthday party the following day.
She sings so beautifully. That's what David Foster, the guy on the piano, her producer, mentor, Warner Bros. VP, and a 15-grammy award winner, said! Wow, Charice. You are so blessed.
I must admit I just saw the tribute to David Foster last night on PBS, and that was the first time I heard and saw this wonderful talent sing, and man I was just blown away by her tremendous voice! What a voice range she has, she different octaves all sung with smoothness and clarity one rarely hears. If this girl has room for improving, there isn't much to do because she has it all. I am now an ardent fan forever.

charice is charice, whitney is whitney. charice is her own persona. i don't agree she sound exactly like whitney. you may say, she is as good as whitney ( before she lost her voice) or as good as celine. watch charice' countless live video performance and you'll know what i'm talking about.

This girl is in a world of her own. She's a freak in the greatest kind of way. Beyond her singing virtues I can hardly believe how confidently she carries herself. I just pray she doesn't end up as a tragedy which so many of these young sensations have before her. She's almost too much to believe.

zion, you're right each person has his/her own identity; no two person are exactly alike (even twins); charice is charice as whitney and celine are-i luv both of them bytheway, but charice is unique like her fingerprint-a good way to start an international career singing this song FP; why can't we just love them all, hmn?as for the moment my luv for cahrice stands out more, nonetheless

i have nothing & i will always love you - both originally sung by whitney back in the mid 80's; charice' version made them alive again and were sung beautifully...we call them now the bodyguard medley from the movie the boyguard (kevin costner & whitney both starred in this great movie)

This young girl is in a class of her own. Why do we need to compare her to other singers for? I heard her sing and had no idea how she looked like and was shocked to see this young small girl with a voice so mature and will most likely get better. That was a lesson for me not to judge a person by her age or looks...Bravo to Charice and my best wishes for you.

talented but does nothing for me, to be honest. She got to sing with her "so-called" idol but all she ever does is sing Whitney songs. No one has ever been able to enterpret a song like Whitney and no one ever will. She sings well, but she is definetely NO WHITNEY!!! Those renditions of WHITNEY'S SONGS were non emotional and average at best. NO ONE should ever attempt Whitney's material because they will only come up short time and time again. Sorry, doesnt do it for me!!!

As if being an incredible singer weren't enough, Charice is sweet and completely unpretentious. If you knew the hardships that this girl had to overcome and her perseverance in pursuit of her dream, you'd be moved to tears. I had the great privilege & pleasure of seeing her in Las Vegas on May 9 & attending her 17th birthday party the following day.

I must admit I just saw the tribute to David Foster last night on PBS, and that was the first time I heard and saw this wonderful talent sing, and man I was just blown away by her tremendous voice! What a voice range she has, she different octaves all sung with smoothness and clarity one rarely hears. If this girl has room for improving, there isn't much to do because she has it all. I am now an ardent fan forever.
