hey i gotta question..i went to this haitian restaurant a few times when i lived in my old tower...i used to order a dish called "legume" that came with somekind of meat and vegetables..and plantains..and white rice...they always gave me this red sauce in a side cup to pour on my white rice..it was spicy..it didnt have any meat in it or anything..do you know what the name of that sauce is? its awesome and taste madddd good...thanks!!!

Hey, "plantains" or "platanos" are both right! "Plantains" is in French and English and "Platanos" is in Spanish.

A different kind of bananas called Plantain. It is more rustic and not edible without being previously cooked.
Green bananas work in a similar way... but are not as good as plantains.
