Other than Clarissa and her good lady friend, there are no decent characters in this series made up of mostly evil people. Poor Clarissa should have kept her inheiritence and therefore her independence and to hell with them all.
Well, I like Clarissa, but after running away with a man and living with him, though I'm no expert on their rules, unless she marries him she'll completely lose her reputation. I don't understand what she expects.
@Babykiara92 :) agreed. In fact I was thinking, if North and South were filmed in 1991, Sean Bean and Saskia Wickham could have been great choices as Mr Thornton and Miss Hale...hehe
Disturbing, the scene where Clarissa walks into the room where all the wicked sex is performed - children crying? To think that anyone would use children in a whore house, but those were the times I suppose.
It seems like every character in this series is eavesdropping from behind the doors! lol
