  • @Blitz3677

    True indeed.

    You said it.

  • check out Hate by Blaq Poet and Nore. It samples this song in a clever way

  • I really don't care for the music thats on radio and televisions now days. Music now days should come with a warning label like, may cause Drowsiness, may cause headaches. Music at one point conveyed a message now rappers say anything for a few dollars rap has become one big huslte.

  • Some of these lines are used by Sean Price and Rock (Heltah Skeltah)on The Magnum Force CD.

  • I'm 393 years old. I am green. I like this song. That is all.

  • Hip Hop classic...from the Golden era 1988 - 1994...when MC's showed real skills and talent on the mic and didn't have to f*cking curse to shine lol !

  • Fuck the shit playing today. This is talented HIP HOP. New York City needs to invent another art form and keep to themselves. Big to up dem West Indians Caribbean people creating jams.

  • @babah77088

  • the best breakup song

  • 14 PEOPLE GOT SHOWED THE DOOR

  • Whole album was incredible and very slept on. Large Pro was a dope producer

  • MY FAVORITE HIP HOP JOINT OF ALL TIME.

  • Lupe is the only rapper that stay true and keeps it real in today's Hip-Hop other then that i'll stick to Classic Hip-Hop and i'm 22 yr old so i was like 2 when this came out and love it, haven't heard this in 20 years.

  • Lovely song, but the video's pretty blah

  • Instead of saying how much we miss old hip hop lets make a difference and recomend some of these amazing songs to people we know.

  • @WhiskeyQS or underground emcees like me stap there bars up alot and start really rapping!!

  • @WhiskeyQS or underground emcees like me step there bars up alot and start really rapping!!

  • @WhiskeyQS right on, great comment :)

  • @WhiskeyQS I've done my fair share of recommending dope classic hip-hop to whoever is open to it. Most people I know actually like me because of my music taste which is sadly meaning that classic hip-hop is news to people where I live. And of course, every time the opportunity rises, I recommend my favorite stuff to whoever I know.

  • I remember after I first heard this in 1991-the chorus got stuck in my head. I never knew who sang this until 1996 when I got the best of Wild Pitch classics, which is a classic album in its own right

  • Real Hip Hop

  • This was my shit

  • SUCKAS DONT KNO SHIT ABOUT THIS !!

  • 13 Fags dislike this!

  • i rememeber when LISA LISA took this beat and sang over it ... pure robbery...Large P should have gotten a check for that... maybe he did..

  • cool oldscool :)

  • brilliant tune . Sample is from Donald Byrd's "Think Twice"

  • I can totally relate!!!! Oh if she shows up i wasn't here! I was at some other gentel mens club lol

  • My girl treated me like a burnt piece of bacon. SMH.

  • OOH CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is a hot song lol

  • SLEPT ON!

  • You act like a 10...Classic.

  • @silky1700 its "you act like you're 10". he's telling her that she's being childish

  • @FlyElroyJetson Listnen carefully he says you at like a 10 meaning she acts like she's perfect. Like you judge a chick on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the highest.

  • Comment removed

  • @silky1700 @silky1700 lol u got it wrong bruh but go ahead and believe what u want. google the lyrics and you'll see I'm right. he just says it fast. "you act like ya 10"

  • @FlyElroyJetson Playboy you was right good looking out.

  • @silky1700 You're right. He says "You act like -a- 10." The weird thing, though, is that he follows it up with "so immature," so you would think he did say "you act like you're 10" instead.

But I think he's saying that he finds her holier-than-thou attitude immature.

  • @spideymayne

yo, tell me Large Professor ain't a cutie ???

Damn, Nigga, REAL HIP HOP by REAL CUTE NIGGAZ !!!

    My name is Diego...

    >.<

    You got a boyfriend ???

  • @SuckingBallsYumYum

    *tumbleweeds go by*

I'm sorry--was there a joke in there somewhere?

  • Pure class baby.

  • they were one of my favourite artists

  • is that large professor

  • Fuckin eh rockin a blue jays cap, thats the years they won it 91,92, i was so young but remeber all of canada was with them!

  • basically this song is PRETTY MUCH the 80's version of chuckin up dem dueces> thats funny how rymes evolve!

  • I am 37 and I am white. This was one of my choice of songs when I was having drama w- my ol lady in the 80s on (cassette tape mind you) Now its Lil Wayne/Drake junkies! Shame on u for not stepppin back into our world \when hip hop was talent! These days a rap song says nothing to jog our intelligence the way SONGS used to! Just auto-toned crap about money and bitches! Just like cubE SAID IN sTRAIGHT Outta Compton! Songs were more VOCALLY talented back then. Now its all just BEATS. right?

  • @Twylite21 agreed bruh, it's sad and also heartbreaking. we true hiphop fans are fortunate enough to have lived at a time when hiphop was an art as opposed to a Business with a bad product, as it is today.

  • @Twylite21 not even beats anymore dude!!! im black im 27 and this type of shit was the basis for hip hop...new shit dont compare!!

  • @Twylite21 Right.

  • @Twylite21 It was never about color or age. Your only stating the obvious, and as long as we are only stating the obvious I have this to say.

Sky is blue, Ocean is blue, People are tiny bags of water held together by electrons, Everyone will eventually die, Everything will eventually be forgotten, The smallest is not the smallest, the largest is not the largest.

The past is cool, but in order for wack mcs to be eradicated they must be dissed on records, not youtube.

    Peace.

  • @Twylite21 amen bruh.

  • @Twylite21

Im Dominican and this WAS/IS my joint. And I just loved the beat and the whole vibe of the song. I first heard it here in NYC on WBLS. I recorded it and I remember I took the tape to school the next day... HYPE!!! I was asking my dudes all day if anybody had heard it and if they knew it. Nobody knew who it was. I still remember my man telling me he thought it was Dove from De La Soul... lmao nothing in 2days music can touch this... NOTHING!! 90's HIP HOP all day!!!

  • @Twylite21 I'm 20 about to be 21 from Queens, New York and my opnion about Hip Hop is exactly the same, one love to real Hip Hop fans. the way Hip Hop is now is the worst innovation of the arts and the worst turning point of music in history. I can't believe my generation!!!! :O

  • @Twylite21 yeah - and the new beats are wack too!! old school hiphop had soul, and was a continuation of the jazz/soul/r&b tradition - todays so-called rap music is rooted in nothing but commercialized pop music. these kids are selling their souls and no one cares.

  • @Twylite21

    well said!

  • @Twylite21 Checkout Immortal technique.

  • @Twylite21 so true, and half those beats still suck anyway. they jsut sound like wana be pop, but arnt any match on the 70's and 80's pop. just seems to be a total loss of intelligence in the last few years,

  • @Twylite21 You have good taste in music, you should check out the website thehiphopdepot

  • Lets all understand that its 2010 and the term the word and the sounds of hip hop has been long gone,i dont listen to 95% of the BS today,im 32 and when i was a teenager in the 90s and social life revoled around hip hop and rap music, rest in peace REAL HIP HOP,early 1980s to late 1990s

  • aaawww man you cut off the end..."baby don't you cry now"

  • to be honest, with a few exceptions, 90s hip hop dont really do it for me

  • Damn i miss hip hop..smh

  • Tell me about it, i was just chillin at home bots house and this white boy walks in all cocky telling me Big L is nothing, i was about to drop my 40 and sock this kid. talking about how hard Biggie Smalls is. and mainstream rappers. fuck that shit, dumb little pussies with no STYLE!

  • large p,kane,diamond d,rakim,krs,audio 2,doug e fresh,slick rick,tribe,de la, jb's, lord of the underground,brand nubian,kool g rap,busy bee,kool moe dee, L.A. sunshine,spoonie gee, furious 5,cold crush,fat boys,master ace,nas, dana dane,lyte,black moon and the wwbcc. real hip hop forever. NY forever

  • Large Pro sampled for DJ Premier's Hate instrumental

    mad song though

    peace

  • Classic

  • Hip hop is not dead, it lives in the North!!!

  • SP the ghost rapped in this beat. This is for a true Styles fan or for anybody that would know. What was the track called and what was the mixtape called???

  • one of the best beats !!!

  • shiiit... I PUT HER OUT THE FRONT DOOR. This cut every decade relevant

  • take note, the difference between this music and the rap of today is the feeling. Just llisten to this song ,it evokes a kind of feeling that makes you think and ponder.

Not just dance and shake your ass to this but groove, nod your head to this.

  • I LUV THIS SONG,I DONT LIKE THE BACKGROUND DANCERS,THEY WACK,THEY NEED TO TAKE NOTE FROM "NEW EDITIONS" BACKUP DANCERS ESPECIALLY IN SONG "POISON" OR THE "FLY GIRL" DANCERS FROM "IN LIVIN COLOR" SHOULD BE IN THIS VIDEO,EVERYTIME I HEARD THIS SONG IT REMINDED ME OF THE FLYGIRL DANCERS,I COULD HAVE DONE A SOLO DANCE THAT I MADE UP AND DONE BETTER,THEY HAVE NO ENERGY,OVERALL EXCELLENT RAPPIN&HANDSOME MAN.

  • seriously!? hiphop is not dead. if you grew up with hiphop its always been underground, just like this song. keep serchin real hiphop heads its out there.

  • @OldshcoolTypeSoul well said......... this is 1of my top ten hiphop songs of all time!

  • People really need to genius of this album. It's in my top 3 greatest Hip Hop albums of all-time along with..

    1. "Paul's Boutique"- The Beastie Boys

    2. "Death Certificate"- Ice Cube

  • Sample is Donald Byrd "Think Twice "

  • @swilson44 Thanks for that, I'm listening to it now and it's amazing. I've always loved "Wind Parade" by Donald Byrd, that song has been sampled so many times, it's rediculous: DJ Quik, Tupac, Black Moon, Organized Konfusion, the list goes on. Man, I miss Hip-Hop of the 90's, this is when music actually felt good, and was fun and informative at the same time. I don't know what that crap played on the radio today is, it's not even Rap, it's just plain retarded.

  • song is hot son.

  • where is this sampled from

  • main source gave birth to the illest MC (in my opinion) to ever hold a mic. "when i was 12 i went to hell for snuffin jesus".. nasty nas up in ya area...RIP HIP HOP

  • PLAY THIS TO YOUR BIRD

  • Rip to real hip hop !!! I 've been sayin it along time and people got mad , but Real Hip Hop is dead !!!
