  • led zeppelin

    best: Bring it on home

    worst: the crunge

  • oh led fucking zeppelin...the greats!!!

but hey!!!!!I know you may get alot of mislead guidance with music nowadays.

but let me direct you to my channel. you like floyd? youll like us. love hendrix? youll love us. Give my channel a chance. trust me youve got nothing to loose and a new great psychedelic band to gain. Promise.

  • what's the awesome intro called??

p.s. This is the best version!!!!!

  • @nothingbutrock666

That's the opening riff from Jeff Beck's 'Rice Pudding', one of the most recognizable songs from his second album 'Beck-Ola' (1969) with the Jeff Beck Group. Throughout 1970 Page used it occasionally as an prelude to Heartbreaker and, to my knowledge, at least once for Whole Lotta Love*.

*You can give the latter a listen if you search for the "The Nobs - You Need It Baby MSG 1970"

  • @Tokeiihto13 ahh, ok

  • 3:56 you can here a girl says what the hell is he doing

  • THIS MUSIC CHANGED ME.

  • plant's voice was powerful, and awesome......!

  • Sounds like the ocean in the beginning

  • nice use of "rice pudding" as an intro... Page plays it hard and raunchy!

  • Zeppelin's greatest sound. period. Plant's voice was in pristine shape.

  • I wonder if the people that attended this show knew just what and who they were seeing and how big they would be!

  • they were already huge at this time..but i would have loved to have been there!!! wish Page would get off his duff and release more of the old concerts...i've heard so many bootlegs and half of them are damn good..i'm sure their concert vault has alot of good material

  • @custardpie40 I was wishing more that Plant would get off his ass and tour with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham. But yea, I am sure that Page has some really, really great recordings both video and audio stored somewhere. I wonder what is going to happen to all of those goodies if he should die any time soon? God knows I pray that it doesn't happen, but just wondering?

  • great recordings. Thanks for posting.

  • You're arguing about jews on a Led Zep vid/autio??? WTF. Typical youtube bullsheet. Talk about the MUSIC already.

  • 2 : 10

    best solo EVER !!

    love it !!!!!!!

  • plant excelent

  • 1970 was the greatest year for this song. you just can't beat this. Plant's voice was an entity unto itself in the early days.

  • very nice recording

  • what was the riff at the beginning

  • it was probably something Page or Beck played in the Yardbird days. Jeff Beck later used the riff in the song " Rice Pudding" ..Either way I like the way Jimmy plays the riff alot more

  • oh wait..I think Family Jewels is on tv LMAO

  • typical jews only in it for the money lol fuck KISS

  • well even if they are part jewish which I have never heard before(and I'm not going to even bother to look up because it's not important), they definately weren't in it just for the money like those pathetic idiots in makeup KISS. Go read a KISS comic book haha so lame..

  • well I lied lol. I ended up looking it up out of curiosity and I didn't find anywhere on google that said Page was Jewish and I didn't even bother to look up Plant because I was 90% sure you were just talking out of your ass zoznack...not that it matters if he is jewish or not..I just wanted to confirm your an idiot lol good day sir.

  • lol Why does it matter, they are NOTHING like KISS regardless..kiss are just the stereotypical jews only in it to sell a product with little musical talent( in comparison to Zep). Zeppelin were all about the MUSIC, not dollars and cents.Let me guess Bonham's jewish too?lmao, I looked up Page out of curiosity and couldn't find ANYTHING. Either way it doesn't change my opinion of them AT ALL. Im just 99% sure he's not. Please show me the facts, I would love for you to prove me wrong.

  • The fact that you keep looking up if their Jewish(or looked it up before now) shows how much YOU care..I'm just saying even if they are somehow PART jewish they are not the stereotypical jews like Gene Simmons..think of all the crap they sell with the KISS name on it.. ANYTHING and EVERYTHING...This is the complete opposite of Zeppelin. By the way I'm still curious as to where you get these facts.. lol anyway show me where it says Page is jewish because I didn't find ANYTHING.

  • KISS is a joke compared to ZEPPELIN...they are complete polar opposites

  • I could jam to this forever, hell I could say that for every song on every album.

  • damn, Plant is killing it here!

  • love that bass line

    ZEPPELIN RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!

  • KICKIN!~

  • I think its time this stuff makes a come back! Anyone here play bass? I'm looking for a bass player in NY to make a band and play new stuff like this. I have a drummer and guitarist. message me if interested

  • Hey i live in kingston NY and play bass!

  • wow amazing solo

  • I still can't find a better version than the studio. I had high hopes for this show.

  • How The West Was Won 1972

  • apparently jimmy page spent many hours perfecting the solos in the studio and live is such a different environment and sound

  • MUY BIEN!

  • Get on internet torrents, download any bootlegs you find and be amazed, that'll shut all of the w****** up.

  • this song is fun to play with friends

  • page still came up with really cool riffs like befor lemon song live. but that isnt his only quality he has plenty more that most guitarists.

  • the intro to this is just unbelievable

  • Yeah it really is Pagey comes up with the sweetest riffs.

  • Page didn't come up with that. Or he didn't write it if that's what you mean ^_^

That's Rice Pudding by Jeff Beck.

  • Oh well thank you for the insight I didnt know that was Jeff Beck's song.

  • look at them during there prime, this was early years

  • Dude Zeppelin Is far better than Kiss ever was.

  • @jonathonpvaldez17

    Captain obvious strikes again!

  • @jonathonpvaldez17 Kiss is 3rd class maybe beneath the Gigantic Led Zeppelin

i mean LZ is the mother of all rock bands and 350 000 000 sold records couldnt lie ...Metallica got 160 000 000 ..Led Zeppelin are in commercial AND artistic View , The ABSOLUT BEST BAND EVER !!!! they still rule ...

  • fuck off dude, you should die for that statement, your dealin with the best live performing band ever

  • Calm down dude its ok, dont get me wrong Zep is my favorite ever, but hes just stating his opinion its ok.

  • i dont care what you have to say buddy, so fuck off to you too

  • I dont get why you told me to fuck off?

Man so hostile these days, I wish it was the 70's.

  • I wasn't alive in the 70's...not even the 80's but I can sure as hell imagine how better it was back then.

Of course, that's just my type of scene so it's natural that I would like it better. And to see a Zeppelin concert live....man, I would be in heaven!!

  • Hell ya dude. Every one tells me that I was born in the wrong Era but its all good.

  • Nice seeing a young person who appreciates good classical music!!

  • I'm 16 and I love Zep! Best band ever!

  • I'm 15 and I love them to death!!!

  • @JoeElliot1994 I`m 46 and i still love them to death :-D,

  • It is really groovy, thyman. Sadly, there aren't too many people around my age that can enjoy and appreciate classic rock....especially in my town.

  • Just out of curiosity....whereabouts is your town? I live in a small town about 25 miles from Ft.Worth,Tx.

  • It's about....two hours from Sacramento, CA.

    At the most.

  • yeah man just light up a doobie and crank the led zeppelin II

  • HAHAHA your funny!

  • what are you talking about these guys are geneiuses they are far more talented that kiss!! are you retarded?lol practice lol you make me laugh!

  • Gene Simmons said music was a business for money... And he only saw it in that way, and he really didn't understood the beauty of music... That's true musicianship right?

  • Gene Simmons is a punk. He's bloody rich and doesn't deserve it. Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley deserve credit but Gene was a fucktard

  • awesome all the way

  • apparently not :/

  • That's fucking disgusting.

  • Zeppelin at their best!! I Can't believe Plant's voice

  • Yeah before the late 70's plant had the best voice in the world

You should compare this to 1979

  • lol! Thanks people, It´s just a feeling I have every time I Hear Zepp, specially in songs like Heartbreaker, or during the Solo of "Whole Lotta Love"

Happy 2009! And stay close to your flamethrowers!

  • The feed back at the middle to end pisses me off.

But then when it stops im happy again.

  • OMG, this is fucking stuning. I wanna go to my parents room and set it on fire with a flametrhower

  • best comment ever.

  • kinneasll i couldnt have said it better.

  • can u get the 'intimidator' fr cd's or LP's??? plz reply ..this is awesome

  • music world was not ready for such a powerful band, that is why the mainstream music reviewers bashed Zeppelin.

No matter what they managed to outsell any band from the 70s and became one of the best selling bands of rock.

  • Led Zeppelin circa 1970-'71, have never been matched by anyone. At that time they were just on a different level from even the great bands of rock. The clueless music critics and 90% of the media were focused on the Stones, while Led Zeppelin were outdrawing and outselling them 4 to 1.

  • Yes I agree with you...beard period was the best! Just the 1970-1971 is my favorite in their playing and robert plants voice. Very very powerful

  • wat was that awesome intro called?

  • It's "official" name is 'Rice Pudding' as done by the Jeff Beck Group on 'Beck-Ola' Lp.

I suspect that it was originally a Yardbirds riff and probably Beck was the 1st to claim it on vinyl. Sounds like a Page riff to me.

It sure sounds good here. Amazing tone.

  • Hendrix quoted it at the end of "In From the Storm"('Cry of Love').

    Again, a fantastic, heavy riff.

  • robert plant kinda had the captain morgan look goin but just a diffrent color

  • The opening is a take on "Rice Pudding" from the Jeff Beck Group... just in a different key.

  • I tried to learn that beginning riff but it's pretty tough to make it sound as good as Page. That tone is hard to duplicate and the drums are really important for getting that groovy timing. It's similiar to The Ocean main riff and I'm almost certain he plays it in the same position(5th-7th fret). It's either that or he's playing it with open notes or at around the 10th-12th fret which doesn't seem right to me.

  • that opening riff has such a cool groove to it.. especially when Bonzo kicks in and JPJ follows in close behind. I can listen to it over and over..

  • Yes,Yes,YESSSSS

  • That beginning riff is pretty sweet. I intend on learning it

  • ok thanks we dont care

  • Sounds like your life story, brotato.

  • this sounds like a seriously rockin show..it must have been some experience to see zeppelin at this time..

  • holy shit this fucking rocks

  • The riff in the beginning before heartbreaker reminds me of the ocean

  • OhHhHhHooo....

  • this is THE best version of the song ive ever heard, hands down, thanks for the listen

  • You think it's better than the BBC version?

For me it's a damn close call.

  • Listening to Page play makes my nipples hard. Beyond the fact that it must be really awesome electric guitar, I'm not sure what this means. LOL...

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

  • page can get ne one horny, with led zeppelin, they can give u an orgasmic experience XD

  • I go through the same thing, but I also get goosebumps just listening to that opening riff.

  • Bonzo's BEST DRUMMING on this song

  • This totally rocks!!!

  • wow!!!

  • tomyman, you could have at least put up a picture, but this version of heartbreaker is awesome thank you for posting it.

  • yeah ROCK

  • yeah...led zeppelin from 70 to 73 were at their best...thanks gods of rock...

  • you are wrong is from 68-75 from led zeppelin I to grafiti.

  • someone's opinion can't be "wrong"

and still i can say that you're wrong, i think they were the best from 68-72

    what are you gonna do?

  • they were the gods of rock from 68 to 2008...i think their top were in 73...respect my opinion...

  • ok the beard period was the best period

  • Exactly. This was in the beard period

  • Yeah mid 1970-late 1971. IMO the band at their best.

  • prescence wasnt that bad achilles last stand RULES and they wernt that bad on tour in '77 every1 hated them then which is rubbish they were awsome. but in 1979 and '80 they were at their worst but they were still bloody awsome :D

  • I agree, but honestly, there is no such thing as a bad Zeppelin show!

  • Even Zep at their worst is better than any other band at their best!

  • hell yea

  • I agree man. Rock on!

  • holy f**king s**t, where has this been all my life?!?!

  • you dont happen to play guitar do you? if so can you lead me to find a tab for this as in the rice pudding part heartbreaker i can handle... if not ill just umm figure it out it seems simple

  • how insecure are you? just because your favorite band played the beginning of this song you immediately want to play it. stop kidding yourself and just make your own music for your sake, jeff beck's sake and heaven's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • id just like to learn the riff because it sounds cool and i have listened to the entrire jeff beck song rice pudding

  • wanting to recreate something you love has nothing to do with insecurity

  • wats ur problem u little shit?

  • i gotcha back covered from perezoso23

  • whats the song at the start or is it just an awesome random riff

  • Jeff Beck - Rice Pudding (1969)

  • why did Pork chops comment get thumbs downed?

  • now, the next song muh... thank you?
