I now notice there is a big contrast between how Freeman and Barney think when they see valves and i'll assume buttons. Barney, in this case, says "this must control the steam." If Freeman was in his position, his thoughts would be: "Hey, whats this do?"

@833nirassi as holy said, Ross uses a few console commands to make the game easier and a little more realistic, I didn't do this. Also, I wanted Barney to be a little bumbling and get better as the game went on. Also, I play without a cross-hair on, Ross plays with one. Finally, Freeman will always be better than Barney. ^_^

Pump-action Shotgun: You need to pull back on the pump handle to eject the used shell then push it forward to load a new shell

Semi-Automatic Shotgun: the heated gas in the barrel automatically pushes the used shell back and out of the shotgun, then a new shell takes its place when the piece which holds the shell moves back in place. Each bullet must be fired by individual depressions (pulls) of the trigger

Automatic Shogun: Its like a machine gun that fires shotgun shells.

A shotgun can't be pump action and semi auto. Pump action means u Ready the shot by pumping it and semi auto is as fast as u can pull the trigger

As a person who is unofficially semi-familiar with weapons, some are both. You just flip a switch or something to select the mofe of fire.

Like how some rifles you can select single-shot, burst fire or steady fire.
