hi matt, what paints did you use to achieve the blue?

Base color was Midnight blue and top olor is GX Susie Blue. Both Mr. Color paints.

I used a reverse wash for the trim. The steps are as follows

1. Spray Gloss Balck lacquer

2. Spray gold lacquer (must be lacquer)

3. let dry over night

4. Spray Enamel flat back (must be enamel)

5. Let dry

Wipe the black enamel away with lighter fluid revealing the gold.

6. Top coat with your choice of top coat.

absolutely stunning work! I hate neograde's option parts though... their proportions are cringe-inducing. Case in point: look at how long the toe pieces are! bahahaha.

Everything but the shield was reverse washed. The steps are as follows and it's pretty easy to do just take your time as it is tedious.

1. After primer spray base coat of gloss lacquer black

2. Spray Mr. Color Super Titanium

3. Spray Gloss coat Mr. Super Clear

4. Spray entire part with enamel black, let dry.Must be enamel

5. Use Q-Tip and some lighter fluid to wipe away enamel black revealing the Super Titanium. It took me about 4 hours to do this part but it's well worth the effort.

Yeah, I love a flat finish. Makes the shading pop and it also hides any dirt or dust that may have gotten in the paint. Thanks!
