  • What a cutie!

  • This very quickly began sounding like a song and got stuck in my head....so while I may not know the signs...I now know the Japanese alphabet...

  • the easyest is ん since its like you just write it in the air in katakana (ン)

  • For the "ra ri ru re ro" part, I couldn't help but think of the Patriots from Metal Gear Solid, the "la li lu le lo". Lost in translation, sadly, but cool nontheless.

  • oooh this so makes me want to learn japanese XD then jsl! I have to learn a language for school (even though I'm a Deaf studies major XD) so that might work!

  • "se" is the middle finger in the opposite direction?.....cool.

  • OmG! Can i know why are you learning Sign Language? =)

  • this is so awesome!

  • Extremely helpful. It's nice to have actually see the movements of each character instead of just seeing pictures of each letter. Thanks!

A friend of mine regularly uses Pidgin Signed English even though she's hearing. What's interesting is that if she forgets a word in conversation she finds that by signing that word she can remember how to say it. I've started getting into this when I study foreign languages, but I'm also trying to get in the habit of fingerspelling in the original language.

  • Cool is sign language!! ;)

Add friend on Facebook name is Melchor Hinojos!!

  • OMG!!! few seconds into it and she flips off the cam xD srry but i thought it was funny xD

  • @TheKnerdd

i know right i had to stop it to make sure and bust out laughing, now my boss is pissed and almost got fired for using you tube at work. i showed him and he started laughing also

  • @VICTORdoomm you guys would love the sign for brothers/siblings...flipping off with both hands

  • ok this is confusing!!!!!! why does Sign language have to change!!! couldnt it jus be the one common thing in the communication around the world!!!! though the Japanese style is pretty awesome!!

  • @jmcmoyo sign language didn't necessarily 'change'. they developed spontaneously like any spoken natural language in their specific region

  • wow thats really cool

  • I repeat 0:13 for a few times and laugh like crazy scary woman then it come my mom and she ask me what so funny, I let her c the whole vid and she told me to not communicate with deaf japanese

  • Am deaf my self

  • she fliped me off she did the middle finger

  • at 0:12 she is showing the BIRD!!!!!!!

  • you are sooo cute

  • I'm in Japan as an exhcnage student, I'm 16. I really really want to learn Japanese sign language while I'm here for the year, and use it when I return to Japan. ^_^ THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • I got lost after the 287th letter. You are very pretty though.

  • Both my parents deaf and we Australians, such a beautiful language. I once met a deaf man from Finland and we had no trouble talking to each other. Dare say if he was a talker like me then we would of needed an interpreter...

    私の指は、そのすべてを越えて続ける日本順であった

    私はスロバキア(ヨーロッパ)

  • wow thats cool! ive been learning american sign language for about 2 years but this looks a lil more difficult... lol

  • @dudechillout956 are you kidding this looks simple. most of them resemble 2, 3, 4, Y, and some form of O.

  • I learn abc japan sign language. a i u e o is easy for me but ka ki ku ke ko etc...is very hard to learn. always at ki i forget how to spell. BSL, ASL,VGT & PSL is easy to learn but JSL is different way to learn. it's too complex like as japan language. I wish i knew japan language...:(

  • Wouldn't it be great if everyone in the world spoke sign language ?

then you could talk to EVERYONE....

but then i realised you get different types of sign language :(

I thought it could be like you said hello in sign language and it meant bonjour hola and hello in every other language....

    so much for that idea

  • That looks really difficult.... but at least I know that se is the middle finger and mu is a gun.

    I don't think I could ever learn this... :P

  • Im hoping to start Japanese and Deaf studies in the Uk. I have always wanted to learn sign and would like to learn JSL as well as BSL. thankfully there is a deaf Japanese girl at our university so I hope i will have the chance learn a few things from her.

  • @bun4bun :D I sincerely hope your study goes well! Hmm as to your question, no real connection. I started learning French before Korean. But French studies has been slow for me. I prefer learning from daily conversations with native speakers. However, I'm not exactly living in a French populated area. So my goal one day is to live in numerous countries and learn them. What I can do now, is once in a while learn them from books, radios, kind of really slowly by myself.

  • @mvoir33 You are a beautiful girl. I love asiatic girls :) lol

I said... i wanna to learn JSL, can u help me which sites in JSL? Thanks

I speak Italian Sign Language, a brazilian few :)

    Sayonara!

I figure I can go around the world teaching sign language. I'm an ASL learning student right now! On top of that I'm learning the spoken languages. I wish I NEVER forgot Korean, I was almost fluent.

  • I'm wanting to be a world traveler so I'm trying to learn French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Greek, German, Hebrew Sign Language. I figure I can go around the world teaching sign language. I'm an ASL learning student right now!

  • lolo. i'm deaf and i communicate usin' american sign language but daaamn, japanese sign language alphabet is badass comparing to asl abc's. especially the letter se (middle finger) ahahaha

  • @CTWcauseiMissyou wow you're hardcore. I like you. XD I'm learning French, Korean, Japanese and JSL on my own at the moment.

  • @mvoir33 hmm, that's kinda odd. U at least the 3rd or 4th person who I've heard(or read, i guess) is studying french and korean at the same time. Is there some kind of connection with the two?(cuz i wud've figured that if any asian language wud hav any connection w/ french, it'd b vietnamese). I'm studying french, japanese, and sindarin and thinking of taking up Romanian sometime soon.

  • @CTWcauseiMissyou You're cool! I've been learning Japanese for four years; and now, I'm learning Jamaican Sign Language, not Japanese. Please, make move vids as you go along; the difference between Japanese Sign and Jamaican Sign would be fun to see; especially as it may relate to the spoken Japanese language. :D

  • @CTWcauseiMissyou Good about you learn that language ^^) Congrautz ^^) Thank u !!

  • wow!!

  • is that really the sign for se?!

  • yeah i saw that bad word ooooooo but still beautiful sign language and especially middle finger lol

  • OMG 0:14 hahaha shirokuma u so pretty.

  • Does JSL use a lot of initialized signs like ASL does? (By initialized, I mean such as tapping the right W-hand to the chin to sign 'water,' or touching two F-hands together to sign 'family.')

  • woww! that's a lot of things to remember!

  • かわいい。。。 わたしわ adrian です

    あなたはみりょくてきです

  • ROFL... You Can make it into Fun, if ya tried :P...

  • Молодцы

  • Interesting to note that the variations on basic sounds weren't included, like t to d and k to g. But this is really cool. Maybe after I finish studying Japanese in school, I can learn JSL. :P

  • = ="""middle finger...

  • I taught my 4 & 5 yo Japanese numbers, I'm hoping to teach them this but gotta find a slower vid

  • beautiful. My parents are deaf and use ASL, how you signed is really beautiful. I would like to learn that, that's pretty cool. Question, I hear that in sign in Japanese that "mountain" is the middle finger?? just curious if that is correct.

  • No, the middle finger is the Kana (Japanese letter) to the sound SE.

Mountain is the flat hand drawing in the air a mountain.

Though in korea sign language it means mountain.

  • omg. Intense.

I'm going to stick to ASL.

  • Thanks! ★

  • i'm not deaf but i almost had heart attack looking at u. You are elegant and graceful when u gesticulate. Hope to see u in Japan in February. Ciao from Italy
