His muay thai hasn't improved in much longer than that. His reaction to punches is visibly slower as well as his hand speed and agility.

For Fedor he literally cannot improve any skill he already possesses. He could train his hands at a boxing gym for a whole camp but if he hits someone hard, gets tired or gets hit hard he will do what he does naturally and throw haymakers. He is already visibly slower moving and reacts slower to things being done to him.
