First heard this song on Rough Guide to Scottish Folk, which I picked up mostly because of Julie Fowlis. Imagine my surprise at finding this tune -- best on the album!!
You know, there's a really lovely song that Andy M. Stewart wrote, that I think would go beautifully with your voice. Have you heard "The Man in the Moon"? I'd love to hear your take on it.
Do you notice the the magic in harmony, Lori, I bet you do, string players are the most likely to accidently stumble across it. You can influence people more than you realize just by dancing around a tonal center, different harmonies incite different reactions, this goes well beyond Major, Minor, Mixolydian and Dorian, The Celts Have harnessed it for centuries, but the big picture of human emotion goes far beyond Traditionalism . Check out Indian Ragas for starters.
OK OK, I'm commenting :-) This has to be about my favourite track from the album, just love your gorgeous vocals. Planning to come along to one of your next gigs, keep an eye out for me!

Two videos in a year isn't enough. The video quality on Footstomping was the best. I like your tunes. *****
