  • I believe that we have two forces in this spiritual battle; one good and one evil. They are both "the all knowing." We have the will to decide which to follow. Many people in the christian world tries to hide that there are two equal forces. They tell you that this spiritual battle is already won. What they forget is that the battle is an individual one and must the fought individually. The individual has many spiritual battles in life; but the outcome of the war is in death.

  • Bible is a fiction written by racists who hated the Jews. That is why there are so many versions of Bible . Anglican , Baptist ,Catholic , Evangelical , Jehova`s witness, Methodist ,Orthodox Greek , Seventh day adventists, Trinity Lutherans etc .

One God , One Jesus but 101 Churches.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

  • In Greek Mythology, as well as many polytheistic religions, the Gods are created from other Gods. Like in Greek, they have darkness in the beggning, then the first being to exist was Uranus, then he got killed by Chronus, Chronus by Zeus, then Zeus made more gods, and thus the Gods were born from a family. Others were born in a different way, as Aphrodite was born from Chronus's corpses, therefore like a female clone of Chronus or something.

Same wth Egypt, Ra born frm an egg, had horus as a son

  • Deut 6:4 says ."Hear oh Israel..the Lord our God..is ONE Lord..!

Not a "singular one"...this verse speaks of a compound oneness..

    One TEAM..One Nation..One Lord..not a singular one..a compound oneness..All in unison with each other..

  • Also read GEN 18..where Abraham sees 3 men..yet he calls them "my Yahwey"..My Lord..!

3 in UNISON with each other..not speaking of a "singular one"..God is described as being 3 persons...all in UNISON with each other..

EXAMPLE.. "All the people sang as ONE"..many voices singing in UNISON with each other..not a singular one..!

Another example..We are of One heart..one mind..one body..

  • Read ISAIAH 48:16,17.. These verses speak of Jesus..who was speaking "at the beginning"..Genesis and John 1..who was sent by the God and the Holy Spirit.

  • There is a Creator behind the creation. He desires a personal relationship with His Creation, and makes himself known through His revealed Word. God declares the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done. This what autheticates His Word as truth, since it is a more sure word of prophecy. Everything is predestined and foretold. 66 books by 40 authors forming an intergrated message system from outside our time domain. You can't make that up. It's too perfect!

  • wrong - the Bible NEVER rejects the existence of Gods (at least the Hebrew bible as far as I know)

the ancient Hebrews we're henotheistic which means that they worshiped only one single Deity but yet did not deny the existence of other Deities

in Nature there are phenomenas which have different natures from each other on this material plane each holding a nature of a specific Deity

yet on the plane of spirit all is ONE and the deities become THE ALL the infinite God the

  • Hinduism has many "gods". They have holy texts that are just as relevant and "true" to the believers as the Torah is to the Jewish. Why would you think yours is more "true" than theirs? Oh yeah...it's the one YOU were taught as a child. So, it must be right...just as they think that theirs is right. When you reflect on this, you will see why it's all nonsense.

  • I bet one day God will be summed up in a very complex mathematical equation. : )

  • More than likely, a very simple equation!!!!

  • I think this concise verse from the Holy Quran answers your question about why there cannot be many gods:

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

    Al-Mu'minun (The Believers) Arabic

23:91 No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah. (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!

  • To me God is not a person, God is ultimate truth and ultimate reality.

  • If there were more than one God, they would certainly have worked against one another and one would eventually have overpowered and destroyed the other at some point.

If "they" on the other hand worked toghether in absolute perfect harmony each taking care of their own business, we would wind up with ONE ENTITY.

  • You stuffed up with the first few sentences, if you say Hebrew teachings are correct then you will know of Moses and when his one true god, took on the Egyptians gods, in the form of snakes. That one true god aknowledge that other gods exsisted, he just thought he was king shit of them all.

  • Bluntly, YHWH does have a Host and they are called elohim (gods or the powers), BUT what must be understood is exactly who created them, for no creation is higher that its creator. YHWH is the absolute power and none of His Host, fallen or otherwise can, have or ever will overcome Him. Now that is the true proof of who is the source and true El (god)!

Worship of many gods is vain confusion, when there is only one sole power and source and guide behind everything.

  • I agree with you completely TR. There can only be ONE first cause. But let me represent the other side since I have studied an early form of Christianity that believed in 2 Gods. We have the problem of evil. Ok, so "evil is only the absence of God" its not actually a real substance, otherwise God must have created evil as well. But here is the question: Why would an ALL KNOWING God create an entity (Devil) with the foreknowledge that he would rebel and create evil and suffering if he is LOVE?

  • "There MUST be two Gods!" said Marcion. An Mean God and a Loving God. And they are at odds with one another. I must say, I understand their reasoning behind this. After all, i myself cannot answer their question; neither have I heard a believer answer it. Why WOULD an Omniscient God create ANYTHING with the foreknowledge that it would cause evil, suffering, starving children, sexual abuse of children, rape, murder, pain, even a cause for damnation whether eternal suffering or annihilation

  • people will start to understand ''god'' enigma when they stop look at god like it was human with persona(ego)...simple as that...i already hear ''ahaaaa'' from you...

    much love,

    peace.

  • i profoundly dislike the Set one god thing

    the goddess SOPHIA kicks arse

monotheism is a terrible philosophy in my eyes

i don´t sense one favouritised version of god is a valid concept

monotheism makes one hel of a good reason for conspiracy theory also

  • There is only one Most High. The Creator of the universe. No one has seen God at any time, except Yah'shua who came from the Father. Yah'shua represents the Father in physical form, and is one in Spirit with the Most High.

Holiness is being of one mind with God, through His Spirit on man. Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

These are manifestations of the Most High, and they all link back to Him who firts loved us.

  • Because we have no record of them. Theres one God in control of universe we live in. The other so called gods like orishas, hindu deitys, oriental gods are all the same with different names if you know the symbolism and who those deitys are and it's all darkside

  • The Priests are also Elohim!

(Exo 21:6) (Exo 22:8) (Exo 22:9) For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges(ELOHIM); and whom the judges (ELOHIM) shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.

  • Yes SA and supreme Elohim Is One above all others Elohims that HE create and His name is Yah.

  • Elohim is the word translated God. So why is monotheism associated with the title God? This blunder has lead many to false doctrine.

  • The Judges of Israel are Elohim!

(Psa 82:1) God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the Gods (Elohim).

  • Moses was an Elohim!

(Exo 7:1) And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a God(Elohim) to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

  • Angels are Elohim!

(Psa 8:5) For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels(Elohim), and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

  • The scriptures do not teach only one Elohim! You should know better.

  • Come on. You know what I meant!

  • No I don't know what you mean. You said there is only one Elohim. This is not true. You should say is there only one most high Elohim. Monotheism is a flawed concept seeing the Hebrews and the Christians knew many Elohim with one most high Elohim.

  • Comment removed

  • TR said in 0:15 that HE personally believe that there is only ONE TRUe Elohim. So He did not say that there is only one elohim BUT ONLY ONE TRUE ELOHIM.

  • Monotheism denies any Elohim exists but one. I will not deny Yah as most high Elohim by denying any other Elohim exist. If one claimed true Elohim means true judgment then Yah is the source of all truth. But to appear to say only one Elohim exists is foolish.

  • Well. As long as most people understand what I'm trying to say, that's enough for me.

  • Did you understand what I said?

  • You can quickly see where this is going,

either way , matter = energy and energy = matter.

So how do I As a Human Differ from God who is energy?

So is it possible for me to become one with the God and control him?

it starts to lead towards science fiction and has little evidence to support it ( from what i can gather )

scientists, theologians, atheists and agnostics are openly coming out as theists now. They don't follow "organized religion" but admit at least One Creator must should.

  • essentially what your saying is you believe in Pantheism ( God is Everything ) Which seems to cause more questions than it answers.

    Oxford Definition of Energy is

the property of matter and radiation which is manifest as a capacity to perform work.

Hence. Energy is simply the motion from Matter.

The point of Gods existence is an intellengent being of who fashioned the world.

    Is matter intellegence?

Did matter create the universe and its laws?

Am I not made up of Matter?

    am i God?

  • I think the name Alpha and Omega describes best why monotheism is promoted, no other being was present before He was.

For there to have been another god or gods there would have had to be a commonality among them making them similar-god like, but God created it all,, He has sons and daughters but He is Abba- Father. God is a holy god only He can take sole responsibility of taking care of this creation- trustworthy.

Psalm 93 "Your throne is established from of old,

    You are from EVERLASTING"

  • It depends upon ones's definition of God. If they are referring to the first truth then there is probably only one source of that truth. Some feel Jesus and God are one which confuses me. Polytheism came from the misunderstanding of immortality which is a whole other conversation but I think at the end of the day that there is only one true source of creation.

  • well i think the point is, Why do you think there is only one true source of creation?

because polytheism as you say it came from an understanding of immortality doesnt mean its wrong.

So why did you come to conclusion that their must be one source, why cant two gods work together to create the universe?

Why does it have to be one? Why does it have to be two? Why does it have to be any? could it be none?

  • If you want me to be brutally honest. The one source is energy. We have to figure out (my current thesis) who God was originally. So yes you are right on all points. Biblically there is one God that told of creation. His name is Yahew, Jehovah, Allah etc. But he was God (like Dr.,Lord or Mr.) Jehovah, Yahew, Allah etc. All these people contributed to explaining the Higher Source (I call it energy to make sense to my brain). everything you mentioned above makes sense in their respective context

  • I believe in God because of logic of rules that command in are world. Like DNA in are body, living software who choose how we gonna look ,talk and walk. Programmers make Softwares and you have supreme Programmer who is best of the best. Thats why i want to know Him and i find Him in the scriptures. Why i choose Tanakh like source of God truth character, hmm i guess logic tell me that is the truth. In our world in all aspects you have something supreme. I guess that is are nature :)

  • the question should be "Why Not Monotheism" or "Why Polytheism

By coming to the conclusion that God exists, through either cause & effect or some other argument. your effectively saying that "at least one god exists"

so why isnt their more than one god?

Take the example of having Two gods.

Can God A do everything that God B can do?

    If No: Why?

If the response is yes, then God is no longer Unique which majority of monotheistic religions will agree on.

  • The other likely response will be "yes but.."

God A is the God of Love

God B is the God of Evil.

    Simply reply,

can the God of evil do good?

can God A do what God B does?

which leads back to the beginning of the argument, why does God B need to exist? Which is why i some believe in God.

  • "Why does God B need tio exist"!

Excellent stuff. I like this reasoning.

  • Ex 18:11 Now I know that the LORD [is] greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly [he was] above them....................... plus the book of Enoch will help you with understanding that there is other gods that people worship and yet they are not God at all . but Rather the Fallen Ones ..... i am just very shocked with how you are changing its very weird i think............... shalom

  • Peace. No need to be shocked, I'm not in the process of becomming a polytheist. I'm just putting up a question for discussion.

  • What makes a God a God is it not his judgment? Pagans Have many Elohim with many judgments (Plural). True faith has Many Elohim as well but with one judgment Yah's (Solo). One Elohim in all (His judgments) It is simple why can not any of the wise men of the Jewish and Christian faith see it. Can they not explain their own letters?

  • I really don't understand why you made htis comment.

But, if any Jews are offended by me asking this question then I'll wait for them to express this and I will be happy to clarify myself.

  • There is only one Most High for the same reason there can only be one "best" . By definition, there cant be more than one Most High, then He wouldnt be "Most High" but "one of the highest". IF He werent the Supreme, He would only be VERY strong , but not all powerful since other could rival Him . So more than One Most High is a paradox . I used "most high" because there are many "elohim" including humans, false gods etc, but by God . He is God of gods

  • perfectly said with flawless logic

  • Yeah thanks pianokid100.

  • The video is not viewable to hear or see,

please if you can help in this situation if

    you can?

  • Is it still not working? Seems to be working fine for everybody else. Dunno what to suggest really.

But basically, the video just asks - why is there only one God and not many Gods? All you are really missing is a nice intro from a seventies reggae song!

  • YouTube, the video is not responding, no

picture and no sound, but little that keeps

coming on and off and stops. Please could you help in this matter

  • Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.

  • Amen

  • What comes to my mind is that for so long, the powers which operate nature were recognized by people and because each seemed different, a specific god was applied for different things (a simple and primitive conclusion) rather than considering that all comes from one power...not to mention the unexplained ufo pheonomena where these beings actually presented themselves as gods to them.

  • "If there were in them (the heavens and the Earth) other gods beside GOD, there would have been chaos. Glory be to GOD, the Lord with absolute authority. He is high above their claims."

    Surah 21:22

    Holy Quran

  • who is telling the porkies????

one writes allah and one writes God.

    BTW quaran is not holy

  • If there had been in them any gods except Allah, they would both have certainly been in a state of disorder; therefore glory be to Allah, the Lord of the dominion, above what they attribute (to Him). Quran 21:22.

    Commentary:

If there would be gods beside God in the heavens or the earth, then those Gods would surely compete with one another in authority and position. And the order of the universe would have been destroyed

  • Salaam Sayfollah,

when the brother asked this question i immediately thought of Surah 21:22

i hadn't even noticed you already quoted it...before i posted the quote. lol

nice commentary on that ayat. :)

  • wa aleykom salam wa rahmatollah!

haha mashAllah akhi, and thank you very much. It was a summary of the tafsir which I linked. Read it for a more detailed explanation :)!

  • who is telling the porkies????

one writes allah and one writes God.

  • Allah= The God

it is a composition of the suffix 'al' (which means "the") and the term 'ilah' (which means God). This becomes the term 'Allah' = THE GOD.

I hope it answeared your question.

  • Thanks for bringing a Quranic perspective.

It's interesting that the Hebrew Scriptures don't enter into any kind of polemics on this issue. The main thing that the it does confront is idolatry. There are various passages (especially in Isaiah) which present arguments against worshipping created things.

As far as Monotheism goes, the Scriptures simply proclaim the fact that there is only one God, and does not enter into further persuasion on this...

  • ... I guess that's because even while the Israelites were worshipping idols, they still retained the belief in the supreme Creator God. This is also the case with many peoples around the world who have several lesser deities, but also believe there is one supreme Deity (who is usually distant and unknowable).

    Just thinking out loud here.

  • allah was a moon god in kabba and mohamad's grandfather was the keeper of kabba which had over 300 gods.

allah had three daughters which even mohamad worshipped and bowed down to. The god is more appropriate to allah than GOD.

  • Just so you know, I'm going to delete any further comments like this which aren't specifically related to the video subject.
