I encourage anyone who's feeling the nostalgia to check out therebirth(dot)net... it's a 1.12 vanilla server that strives to be as close to the original vanilla wow as possible... don't be turned off by the crappiness of most private servers, there are no instant levels, donations, vote rewards, free gear, xp boosts... just pure nostalgia. One of the least buggy private servers you'll find as well, the people running it are amazing. The closest you can get to experiencing what you once loved...
Crap, and I remember trying Klinfran (dat dang messed up, overpowered demon bastard for super-epic, impossible-to-do hunter quest) over and over again some hundred metres away from that screenshot.
LOL! I still remember when i was an uber noob and i flied by these zones (going from IF to SW and vice versa) and getting the chills (wow this place ust be for great players) its funny coz i used to focus that same altar in the image
Is it just me or is the part from 2:38 onwards also in the intro cinematic? The one where the chick talks about drums of war and tenous allegiance, all but evaporated, you know.
That screen shot brings back so many memories of that cursed Dreadsteed questline.... took me so long to complete. New warlocks don't appreciate their mounts anymore, now that they can be bought from a trainer.
You can buy it from trainer now`?? omg.. I fought so long and so freaking hard to find someone with the reagents to the last part in dm.. And.. Now they actually destroy the story behind the classes,. not good at all.. Haven't played since WOTLK came out.. or, took lvl 80 (big mistake and a waste of time) and quit..
yep, as of 3.0.8 or something, paladins and warlocks can now buy their mounts at the trainer. Those who did that god damn quest like me got an achievement. It angers me that i spent MORE gold then the other classes to get my mount, a total of 700g.
Don't even remind me about that quest line. Jesus, The day AFTER I do it, they release the patch that lets you buy it. You have no idea how pissed I was. Yes, it is my fault for not reading the upcoming patch notes, but damn.
Anyways, I like how this music plays up in Alterac mountains as well, it makes an epic picture with the snow and the ruins. :D
you were pissed? ok now, I have to tell you: the lvl60(epic) mount is now the lvl40 mount.. you can have it for a mere 40g mount training, then 20 gold for the mount itself..

That music so far can only be heard on places Like 'The Searing Gorge' and 'The Burning Steppes' and ofc the interior of Blackrock Mountain. But apart from this places i doubt if its elsewhere heard.

It's less gold than the other mounts. Normal mounts cost 1000g.
I did the warlock chain right before the patch came out...at least I got the achievement for it...

...Blizzard nerfs it so that "Summon Dreadsteed" is now available at the warlock trainer.
