  • @pwakongo giyon can be seen as any white western/ new world culture, they go to other less advanced countries say they are bringing what's good about their own world (religion, government, industrialization), but have their own agenda and always end up leaving those countries in a worse position than before

  • @kbotreau they did in fact make the song abou foreign occupation but not about u.s soldiers being there that song came out in 1999 so you are way off.

  • This group carnaval always speaks the truth about the country

  • they were talking about USA

  • there wasn't talking about unites states there were just talking president rene preval not unites states listen to the song first before put ur comment cause it important

  • nah, they were indeed talking about the US and the lavalas party (how they brought Aristide back to power violating our constitution). they made the song when the us soldiers were still in haiti

  • it is somewhat about the US...

  • Unless you dont understand Creole and the reality of Haitian life, you wouldnt say that there werent talkin about the US. They were mad that the US brought JBA back... Listen carefully ' Giyon konprann ke nou pa konprann... Li fe tankou lap ede tout moun...' Indeed what happened 10 years later? They took JBA to Gambi....

  • They were referring the president of the country at that time...

  • Actually they were referring to the white folks who where in the country at that time helping (supposedly) the president.

  • @pwakongo nope ,they were refering The UN at this time

  • @pwakongo nope they were talking about the american invasion between 1994 and 1999.U should have listened to the lyrics pal

  • @karmicsam nop don't think so "pal"....but i guess everyone can have their own opinion ;-/

  • @pwakongo it s not about opinion but facts.Do u understand creole??? Cause it s obvious they were talking about un and the Us !!smh
