You know, you could always get a second opinion about the cost of transferring 8mm onto DVD. I went by a local video store and for some $30 they put three reels of Super8 on a DVD and on another disc in a Mac-compatible format so I could import and edit the footage. It worked just great! Oh, yeah. Voted for you.

Hey Z, you can get pretty good results using your camcorder on a tripod to video your 8mm projector, except it will flash because of the frame rate. Some dup houses do the same thing except they have modified the projector sprockets (I said Schproketz, ha!)It's worth it to have a pro do it, but you should be able to find a better price, cheers~

We used the video camera and taped it to a small cassette. I have the kind that can be put in a adapter and then used in a VHS player, then you could attach your latest thingy that you showed last week and transfer it to your puter to burn. Would take some work, but cheaper than the camera shop.
