The Preamble as we know it, is the PURPOSE for which the Constitution is created. Every bit of it mirrors some part of the Declaration, our most IMPORTANT founding Document.

The Constitution is not there to protect our rights, that is the individual's job as well as that of the government.

The poorly named "Bill of Rights" is not an afterthought; as it clarifies government citizen relationships and responsibilities regarding specific rights the people retained.

It seems this guy does not understand the Constitution as well as he claims. The body of the Constitution is the formation of our government. The poorly names 1st 10 Amendments are not OUR List of RIGHTS. The 1st 10 Amendments, when actually read, either prohibit, limit, or allow government interference into certain specific rights of the People. The government is otherwise expressly prohibited from interfering in other rights. See Amendments 9 & 10

I am a Junior in high school and my teacher doesn't teach at all. He hands out wkshts. and we are supposed to do them. I never learn in depth of what we are really learning. This guy is an awesome instructor and lecturer and I wish I had this going on at my little school. I plan to be a Secondary teacher (Social Science/Studies) so I plan to watch all these videos AT LEAST 3-4 times (probably more). This man is the most interesting lecturer I have seen in my entire life. Thank you very much! :)
