nice tutorial, how come when I press P to play the game all of my textures go white? its really annoying me lol.

Check to make sure that "draw type" is set to "textures". the draw type drop-down selection is next to the "mode" selection menu. It sounds like you are still in solid or shaded mode. also make sure you unwrap your mesh. i hope this helps and doesn't confuse you more. :)
