Its a neat book and I can tell the effort that went into it, but to be honset how often will you find a full untampered box and have the time/uninteruption to pick and choose like this?
It clearly works, but its value is truely debatable unless (as you said earlier) you are a dealer ripping mythics from your set boxes.
@Xajora - You can order sealed boxes from a number of web and ebay vendors, such as Star City Games, Dave and Adam's Card World, Troll & Toad, and so on. (Not endorsing anybody in particular - those are just examples.)
But if you bought a box intending to open all packs, why does it matter that you knew what you were going to open eventualy anyway? In both scenario's it has debatable value.
hello ross , my girlfriend bought me your book for christmas ,and i was wonderning if the tracking works for chinese or no english language boxes ... or are they stillmade in the usa , so it makes no difference ????
@Dreameradept - Hi! The book does tell you about differences between each country's maps, for sets that are known to be different. For older sets like 10th edition, it was identical, but the packs were in sequence by column and not by row. For sets like M11, I include two different maps because many Asia/Pacific boxes come from a different map than USA boxes.
tried that yesterday. you make it look really easy man :D. but i quess skills come with practice. For a first time i managed to pull 1 card right. and i bet i was lucky on that one.
In my FNM yesterday I pulled an Elspeth Tirel in my draft and got a foil Wurmcoil Engine from a prize booster. I'm not going to really be able to get too much into this set with standard, so where do you suggest i sell them? I also got a few rares that might be good, i don't know much about this set. Thanks!
@pyroticmaniac -- Well, you stand to make the most money selling on eBay, but you also owe fees, have to deal with shipping, and so forth... it's a trade-off you have to decide. For simplcity's sake, I generally recommend putting that sort of stuff in your trade binder. Someone local will want it.
I've been watching your videos, and very on the fence of getting the book (good to hear the 2nd Ed. is done)... however, just a suggestion: use a microphone attachment for your camcorder. I can't hear you in this video without putting my speakers in the red zone.
Again, great vids, and amazing work you do. I approve!
Hi, I have a question. I am just a player, and there is no way I can sell off the extra packs in a box. Even my TO doesn't always let me draft with my own packs, and we draft rarely. What should I do with extra unopened packs? It's doubtful that I can sell them either.
@Strakeflames -- There are always people who will take packs, as @check4v says. Keep them with you when you go to tournaments, etc, and you will find someone trying to money draft or get a table together who will either buy your packs or invite you to join in, in which case you just use 'em. A sealed pack always has value, even if it;'s a diminished value because it's been mapped over.
how much is the book and where can i buy it?

@Xajora - You don't open all the packs. You use the packs that don't have top constructed rares in them to draft with.

@Strakeflames Maybe try to trade them to people for cards. People who draft a lot might be willing to do so.
