but now i have 2 type r's and was looking at buying the JBL BP1200.1 Car Amp is it good for it cuz its 600 rms at 4 ohms and 1200 at 1 ohm

yeah the jbl amp wouldn't be a bad choice i recommend if you have 2 dual 4 ohm type r's to wire them to 1 ohm but if you have the 2 dual 2 ohm's than wiring it to 4 ohm is your best option

You can't get two dual 2 ohm subs to 4 ohms. Either 2 ohms, .5ohms, or 8 ohms.

two dual 4 ohms can go 4 ohms, 1 ohm, or 16 ohms.

no your wrong you get 2 type rs and get the dual 4 ohm coils then put the seperate coils in parallel and it will make 2 ohm then put the 2 subs together in paprallel and you will get a final load of 1 ohm
