It's funny because I've watched alot of pro lifting videos and 1/2 the time you see them swinging the weight, using momentum, etc. I'm not saying it's right but I think there is a greater margin for error when your that big and using that much weight. -For me personally, I'm a stickler for strict from, but I'm also only 5'10" and 180 lbs. Funny how guys will talk smack about this guys form on a vid., but would never say anything to his face if they were next to him in the gym!

u can use weight lifting in order to support your MA. but u can do both!
lifting 3 days a week and doing the rest of the week wont give u any results as muscles grow when u rest. progres = actuall lifting + rest. if u dont have days off or rest periods, u wear out AND build no muscles.

Good form with a heavy weight. Mine's starting to go a bit now as the weight's are heavy. But I prefer heavy anyway tbh rather than strict for this exercise. For cable work I'd be stricter.

It's funny because I've watched alot of pro lifting videos and 1/2 the time you see them swinging the weight, using momentum, etc. I'm not saying it's right but I think there is a greater margin for error when your that big and using that much weight. -For me personally, I'm a stickler for strict from, but I'm also only 5'10" and 180 lbs. Funny how guys will talk smack about this guys form on a vid., but would never say anything to his face if they were next to him in the gym!

u can use weight lifting in order to support your MA. but u can do both!
lifting 3 days a week and doing the rest of the week wont give u any results as muscles grow when u rest. progres = actuall lifting + rest. if u dont have days off or rest periods, u wear out AND build no muscles.
ofc u cm find a balance between those two. but still. u need to know what u wanna do. either lift or fight. if u fight then hit the gym o get strong, not buff. if u wanna lift, dont do ma, or just as a hobby.

The problem is you make many assumptions. How do u kno his joints will hav problems. HOw do u kno he doesnt do martial arts & can kick twice as hard as u? So now coz you cant deny his results u r a fighter, of course u dnt have any videos of your fights, any1 can CALL themself a fighter. 1. because he lifted wrong in this vid. if he does that always, he is very likely to have joint problems. (but in general i think he lifts with better form)
2. i know. he is a lifter ffs. u have to chose what u are. lifter or fighter. u have to dedicate urself to one of those. or else u wont see such good results. he wouldnt be so well build if he would be a fighter. he wouldnt have rest periods if he would lift + do MAs.

So martial artists dnt rest wen they do weights do they? Hav u eva seen MMA guys doing their strength programs? They actually use explosive movements (not pefect contolled form) wich builds FUNCTIONAL strength/power. Alot use sum strongman type movemnts too(guy in this vid is a strongman)Btw, alot of guys in MMA have physiques which look more like bodybuilders than most guys u see in a gym too. Guess your MA knowlege is as poor as yr knowledge on how 2 build functional explosive strength/power.

ofc they rest. omfg. do MAs and u´ll see. yes i´ve seen. i know what they do i do it myself. explosive 1 sec up and slower down (the negative is the one stimulating muscle growth and the explisive is how u want ur muscles to act in fights) good that u know. i dont agree on the part with the physiques. in MA u need lean strong muscles which are explisive and strong. in lifting u need to look BIG and BUFF. budybulding = size, MA = strength.

Good form with a heavy weight. Mine's starting to go a bit now as the weight's are heavy. But I prefer heavy anyway tbh rather than strict for this exercise. For cable work I'd be stricter.
