This is a great song sung byJimmie Hall.Who went and started Wet Willie. This albums did not get enough air time.To me every song gets better and better
Greetings from Scotland..i hired this record from the library in 79 but had to give it back..it wasn't till Ebay came along that i could find a copy...love this band!!
Was lucky enough to see them at a small club at Va Beach around '78. Had a blast. Think I danced on my chair, garnering many puzzling looks (but not from the band). Oh well. Too bad for them. Stillwater put on a great show. I really and truly did wear this album out. One of the unheralded album classics of - not just Southern Rock - but Rock 'n Roll. Groundbreaking - and longlasting - stuff. This group was a new pleasure to my ears at age 20, even more so of a plesure now at 52. Thanks.
bet i was at that show...lived in richmond from 67-82...graduated in 78 so i know your on with the year...saw em at the peppermint club and mount trashmore ...both at va beach..great shows back then...stillwater,outlaws,molly hatchet, marshall tucker...fun times man
Man i feel like i missed something big! This band is amazing!! Is it still possible to buy their albums? Ha! I was only checking out "fever dog" from almost famous and Stumbled on the real deal!!!
I always dug these guys. Their definitely in my top ten of all time. I remember that tune "Fair Warning" about joe bob jenkins, that was a riot. Plus "Sometimes Sunshine, Sometimes Rain". Hey Kidkongdw, Thanks again for sharing all of the timeless classics, and keep on rockin!!!
