@Mr08111996 his 6'0 and 195. Sure dumb ass. Did you calculate the level of stupidity that came out of youre mouth before you said it. wow. you obviuosly dont now the first thing about baseball or steroids
People seem to look past Jose's production in all offensive categories...juicing isn't gonna give you a .336 average with an OPB of .470. Dude's on base 3 or 4 times a game...which just goes to show what an amazing offensive player he is...oh and he's no slouch on defense either...second in the AL for outfield assists last year and he's playing great on 3rd base this year. Seems like it's mostly Yankee fans who have a hate on for him. Yankee fans are bitches
@KesselnLeafs And look at how many opposite field homeruns Bautista hit during the last 1.5 season. Probably 2 or 3? Some of them are just line-drive homeruns that just cleared the fences. So anyone juiced should hit opposite field homeruns like nothing.
oh he is obviously on steroids, since 2010 he has become Jose ROID-tista, a swing change and "mechanics" change doesn't make you go from 13 homers in 2009 (16 most ever) and then hit 54 in 2010, and now 31 so far in 2011. i wouldn't give this steroid abuser credit, he's the biggest phony in all the major leagues!! and of course he didn't win the home run derby, my Robbie Cano is a BEAST!! looks like Roid-tista had to leave his needles back when going through TSA getting to Arizona from canaduh
I love watching the 2 seconds of the pitchers reactions of when Bautista hit's it. I'm sure the cleveland pitcher near the start yelled out "F***" lol. Nice video!
He's about to have back to back 50 home run seasons. Those players only come around once every 10 years like Griffey or Bonds (before he started using). Here are the players who have hit 50 homers in a season since 1990:
Alberte Belle/McGwire/Sosa/Greg Vaughn/A-Rod/Luis Gonzalez/Bonds/Ortiz/pujols/Andruw Jones (all on steroids), Jim Thome (i think maybe steroids) Brady Anderson and Cecil Fielder Im not sure about as well as his son Prince Fielder. Griffey is the only clean 1 maybe Ryan Howard
@shall2347 Listen, I think Bautista is probably on roids also. But you are TOO radical. Pujols and etc. are CONSISTENT, they don't just go from a couple years of 13 home runs to 54. They are consistent.
@RPGE5U5 all that means is he was using steroids from the very start when he first came into the league when he was "young" (not sure I believe his age either) The cardinals are DUMB AS FUCK if they give him 300 million dollars, or 200 million dollars. I would offer him 5 years 125 million and be very cautious of that deal. let the yankees or new yankees (red sox) or cubs bid that much money on him, they WILL regret it. Ok now back to steroids, who else on that list I gave do u think is clean?
@The367dreamkilla Of course Im not absolutely sure Pujols is on steroids, but common sense would say yes. Nobody not named Babe Ruth Mickey Mantle Willie Mays or Ken Griffey hits home runs at that rate. All those players with the exception of Babe Ruth are excellent athletes, not some slow unathletic overly muscular bald guy with a forehead comparable to Barry Bonds. Put aside your biases and look at this objectively and you will see Pujols is ONE HUNDRED percent guilty of using PED's.
@Wafflesaurus 2 inside the park home runs as well. I may be mistaken, but I think Jose is the only person to hit 50 Home Runs with 2 Inside the Parks HR
Just because someone has great talent, that doesn't mean that they are on performance enhancing drugs. Joey Bars isnt even that big. Stop making excuses as to why someone is good. Give them credit and stop accusing the greatest player in the MLB of taking steroids.
I've watched a few tributes to Jose, and this is by far the best of them all! You did one hell of a job promoting "Joey Bats" and the "Blue Jays"! In fact, watching your montage makes me want to watch a baseball game. I have been a fan of the Jays since it's inception into the American League and I've never watched a more exciting player come to the dish than Bautista. Maybe because he is the ultimate underdog!
Jose is NOT using! At 6'0" he weighs 195 lbs., 5 lbs. more than in 2004 as a rookie.
It really sucks that whenever a guy starts to hit a lot of home runs people immediately think they do steroids. I personally don't think bautista does steroids but after all the great hitters from the past couple of decades have been caught using them, I don't blame people for being suspicious and doubting.
Jose Bautista is the biggest FRAUD in baseball since Barry Bonds. Theres is no fucking way that anyone goes from averaging roughly 14 HR for 6 years then all of the sudden the jump to 50+ HR a year. This guy is using something illegal and he WILL be exposed one day. I don't believe for 1 second that him adjusting his swing is the main reason for an increase of 40 HR, it's bullshit.
You people are so stupid to think he's not using, same goes for Pujols, now he is so mutha fuckin obvious. MAYBE Bautista is clean but I doubt it. Jim Thome, Frank Thomas (sorry big hurt I love ya), theyre all dirty. Griffey is the only clean big time home run hitter that I can think of.
Prediction: You're right. He wont get caught...Because he doesn't use them. He started getting good when he came to toronto in late '09. He got the right coaching, changed his swing and bam. I hate when people dismiss the swing change, like it's no big deal because it is. Look at Halladay...He sucked, went down, changed his pitching style and now he's the best pitcher in baseball. I know the steroid thing wont go away, But unless he fails a drug test, he's legitimate.
I like ur name so I wont go too hard on ya... but any credibility u had goes right out the door as you have a toronto blue jays logo as ur picture. And by that rationale i guess Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens are clean too since they never failed a drug test huh??? LMAO come on dude, ur one of those politically correct people who doesnt use common sense. the dude is most likely dirty, i not as sure of it as I am with pujols but pretty damn close. dont take it personal
MLB didn't give a crap about testing back when those guys played. That's a whole different era, an era that's ruining baseball to this day by accusing everyone and their grandma for using steroids. You say Griffey is clean...how do you know that? Explain that one to me. Maybe he got injured so dam much because he was using something?
@shall2347 alright then I shall join the fun as I do not have a Jays logo as my pic. Common sense? Alright let's use it. His swing change in T.O. took many things from a slow-pitch softball swing (and if you've ever watched a real slow-pitch game, they can jack everything) His leg kick, the extension of his arms (which he was not doing in Pittsburgh), and the way he clears his hips through the ball. With his swing, connecting square with the ball = home run. No extra power req'd
@aliensrulemars No logo but you are from Canada, LMAO who else do u have to root for. Look people stop messaging me about this, i really dont give a damn if hes on roids or not, i dont even watch baseball anymore besides my team (tigers), i am not biased at all like all of you, have absolutely nuthin against him, seems like a nice guy. but he is tainted.
@shall2347 Your credibility went out the window when you said Griiffey is the only clean HR hitter. But aside from that, here are other things to chew on: 1) Bautista didn't get huge like Clemens and Bonds 2) They test way more often now 3) 5+ Jays set career highs in homers last year and 6 hit over 20. Either they're ALL cheating and getting away with it (unlikely) or the coaching really is making a difference.
@shall2347 Bautista is a tank period hes not on steroids he just has alot of power behind his swing and when you adjust your swing it makes a huge difference
@BugsBunnyBuddys oh ok I apologize I didnt know u could go from hitting single digit home runs to near record breaking number of home runs by adjusting ur swing. I foolishly thought steroids did that to so many players over the years. LMAO ur an idiot, its like tiger woods adjusting his swing back in his prime, didnt matter if he swung like happy gilmore he still wuda been great no matter what (even tho I see he is on steroids too) but thats a whole nuther argument.
@shall2347 Do you honestly believe a league that got torn apart by congress would not take active measures in ensuring that proper steroid testing is in place? Congress spent a shitload of time on the MLB's steroid scandel . I can guarantee the MLB has tested Bautista numerous times soley due to the fact that if Bautista were to ever be found using roids, the MLB's credibility would be completely destroyed and the league would be severely affected.
The dude is the same size as Griffey, one of the best hitters of all time. Bonds, Clemens, those were dudes who got bigger over time, you just dont see it in Bautista.
His swing is very unique as well, he isnt one of those big guys who can get a piece of the ball and its gone, he doesnt have that hunkering big man swing either. If you look at his swing, he starts early, which allows him to get a full rotation of his swing on the ball
@shall2347 the mlb has the most strict steriod policy in all of professional sports and it has been running successfully for about 9 years. Jose Bautista has amazingly fast bat speed and that is how he hits his homeruns, he never even bulked up since before when he didnt hit homeruns. Those are the facts, all you have is your opinion I am sorry to say but you just got outplayed....
if you say bautistas using in this day n age were its so easy to get caught, what the fuck makes you think griffeys clean, hes from the era when they were eatin PED"S like jelly beans...dont hate on bautista EVERYBODY always said he will break out with a couple tweaks to his swing! hes always had great prowess, look at the momentum in his swing dont assume
@shall2347 a little things changed on the swing can do a fucking difference , dont forget that to
and he dont have a shape of a guys using roids ( my opinion ) look at barrys how he change in like 1-2 yrs he get like 100 lbs of muscle, mcgwire to , hit a Homerun start in the mind , its not because you hit more than 40 homerun your on roids
Lol u cant assume hes doing steroids 1 he never was a starter before so how could he hit this mny 2 he changed his swing and 3 look at him now he's not hitting as many as everyone was expecting
I do baseball Tributes myself and i know what hard work comes into making them. I must say you did good job. The song was.. well lets just say i know what you tried to do and you did it well. I remember that song from the movie The Rock so it gives me a different perspective of the video thinking Sean Connery is gonna come up behind me and kill me lol. Ur more than welcome to check out my tributes and tell me what u think of them. Peace.
Amazing ball player - couldn't have happened to a nicer man. Jose is a class act all the way - he plays the game the right way. So fuck John Stanks(Danks) "I'm not here to make him feel good"- Jose Bautista (refering to John Danks) - the best sports quote I've heard in a while.
great fundamentals great fundamentals great fundamentals great fundamentals ....wow.......somebody gets it...........thanks Joey Bats--- can we say fun-da-mentals!!!
@cessna1521 53 HR's to left. 1 to right. Looks alot different this year though. Many more opposite field shots. Still though.... You see Joey Bats hit a high fly ball to left... Pretty much say goodbye to it
Not to sound like an asshole but I find it very interesting that the years before he hit 54 homers he had 0,0,16,15,15,13 home runs then all of a sudden he hits 54? Something is a little fishy there and I don't care who you like but that just doesn't sound right.
His bat is sooo fast coming across the plate that when he connects the pitcher is like crap thats gone. And now this year he is back to where he left off last year!!!!!
JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE
He.. is... A ... BEAST ! .. look at his left foot, how early he rise it up.. just in time to hit that ball deeeeeeeeep. Need to do more opposite field homers though.
I know this will sound wicked, but, in reality, correct. Check his home run states in the previous years before the 2010 and 2011 surge. His best year so far was 2010, when he hit 54 home runs and had 18 HR on June 21, 2010. It is MAY 21, 2011, and he already has 18! The same number of home runs one month earlier than the big year of his 54 HR surge in 2010! Somebody must CHECK HIM OUT!
To: Dchoubak.Well, no, my friend. I am sure that the Mlb have gleaned alot of wisdom since the days of: Sosa, Bonds and McGwire; but, were even stupid enough then, that there was not even any ounce of suspicion during those great home run surges. I really hope that they have the same wisdom to keep up with the modern times and the surreptitious opportunities which avail themselves now. Let us not be weeping for him five years from now. Let our legacy not be tainted for our youth of tomorrow.
Im a tigers fan and i still think miguel cabreras the best pure hitter in the show but Ive never seen power like Bautista im going down to comerica park right now to watch him hit!
@corymazz im not kncoking bautista, he's awesome. just saying that if you pitch him outside he cant do shit. his whole stance/swing is set up for a pull hr. he may go oppo for the odd one...
just watch the pitchers' reactions
simpsonsrock1818 4 days ago
No secret to his success. Never swing at a bad pitch, get into hitters counts. Also have the most bat speed since Gary Sheffield played. That simple.

if you say bautistas using in this day n age were its so easy to get caught, what the fuck makes you think griffeys clean, hes from the era when they were eatin PED"S like jelly beans...dont hate on bautista EVERYBODY always said he will break out with a couple tweaks to his swing! hes always had great prowess, look at the momentum in his swing dont assume
RedSoxNation92 7 months ago
@shall2347 Why does everyone just assume that Griffey never used anything?
SLaird22 7 months ago
@shall2347 a little things changed on the swing can do a fucking difference , dont forget that to
and he dont have a shape of a guys using roids ( my opinion ) look at barrys how he change in like 1-2 yrs he get like 100 lbs of muscle, mcgwire to , hit a Homerun start in the mind , its not because you hit more than 40 homerun your on roids

Not to sound like an asshole but I find it very interesting that the years before he hit 54 homers he had 0,0,16,15,15,13 home runs then all of a sudden he hits 54? Something is a little fishy there and I don't care who you like but that just doesn't sound right.

5 minute standing ovation
hockeyfan2015 9 months ago
I know this will sound wicked, but, in reality, correct. Check his home run states in the previous years before the 2010 and 2011 surge. His best year so far was 2010, when he hit 54 home runs and had 18 HR on June 21, 2010. It is MAY 21, 2011, and he already has 18! The same number of home runs one month earlier than the big year of his 54 HR surge in 2010! Somebody must CHECK HIM OUT!
eddyvideostar 9 months ago
@eddyvideostar they have tested him. you think mlb is that stupid?
dchoubak 9 months ago
To: Dchoubak.Well, no, my friend. I am sure that the Mlb have gleaned alot of wisdom since the days of: Sosa, Bonds and McGwire; but, were even stupid enough then, that there was not even any ounce of suspicion during those great home run surges. I really hope that they have the same wisdom to keep up with the modern times and the surreptitious opportunities which avail themselves now. Let us not be weeping for him five years from now. Let our legacy not be tainted for our youth of tomorrow.
