  • Hi, I do not have "Wrap around selection" on "Insert Div Tag" box. How can I find it?

  • @greensotong select the swf first with your mouse before inserting the div.

  • following my message below, forgot to mention that my website is 1000 x 600 px

  • great tutorial, however... why does my website only center at the top. I want it to also center in the middle of the page, how would i do that? thanks

  • Great tutorial, it works for me perfect in the first time, now I have my site center.

Thanks a lot!! keep up with more.... :)

  • Thank you so much! This helped me out after the typical hours of "google hunting." I have really only been working with html, css, for a year and had to teach myself flash. This helped me finish my portfolio site!

    Cheers!

  • @AxisofEaselDesign fantastic, and no problem! Glad the tutorial was helpful!

  • This works when centering your swf everytime

  • thank you sooo muchhhhhh !

  • duuuude thank you!!! your the only one i know who got this right. the problem is that xhtml tag prior to the body.

  • Your welcome!!! Glad it helped, it's all about learning & sharing little tricks like this. @brmorrison61

  • AWESOME!!!! Thank you ! Thank you!

  • This works when centering your swf everytime

  • tools4noobs then online tools and then option 1 youtube code generator

  • step 1 - If you go to tools4noobs , get the embed code off of youtube of any vid, paste it in the box, complete the dimensions to suit your webpage and tick the center box

  • step 2 - hit generate then copy paste the code into your page then substitute the youtube vid url for your swf file and then lastly delete the link that comes with the code, you have a fully xhtml compliant output.

  • It didnt work for me

  • this is so good! but i have a question

my swf size is like 1020x558.. i want it to also be centered from the top and bottom.. how can i do that..?

    thanks alot!

  • your welcome!

  • I'm trying to come up with a nice way to present and update a "recent news" section on a homepage. I want it to function the way a typical blog adds posts to a page. If anyone can help please do. thanks.

  • If I were you I would look into the WordPress software it does exactly what your looking for and you can upload it to your website!

  • Nice tutorial man. Thanks a lot!

  • Thank you, great hearing the tuts are helpful. cheers!

  • One additional thing I noticed - Make sure that when you all make any additional changes and save in flash after you add the code in dreamweaver that you only preview and publish through dreamweaver from then on. If you publish from flash, the html code will revert back and the css will be erased so you will have to do this all over again. That may be something in CS3 only ...not sure.

  • Definitely true. I prefer not to publish directly to my web site's folder for the exact situation you mentioned. Good observation!

  • You rock man! Thanks for the tips. Still working on my website. Ill post when im done

  • Thank you! Keep at it, and show us when your ready. And thank you to everyone else throwing the good feedback.

    cheers.

  • Man you made it so much easier to apply then any other tut I have found. GG 5 Star

  • Thanks, very helpful. Still creating my website!!

  • Awesome, keep working at it. I'm going to put this on my blog later today so people can share using the coding and also copy and paste that first line ;) YouTube wouldn't allow the embed of that coding, sorry guys! But stay tuned for the blog posting in the description.
