Assuming the universe came from nothing, it is empty to begin with . . . Only by the constant action of an agent outside the universe, such as God, could a state of nothingness be maintained. The fact that we have something is just what we would expect if there is no God.

At the times of Galileo the Bible was simply forbidden to read. Galileo and other creationists conducted scientific research knowing the Universe was created and did not appear from nothing for no reason. Today atheists on universities are peddling their ideology an call it science. Below a statement of one of them and supported by rigid maths too:
An atheist's feeble attempt to discredit the Bible. Anybody who knows history a little is aware that science at the time of Galileo was based on Greek philosophy , not the Bible. Science was kickstarted by people like Newton, Pasteur, Kelvin because they took the Bible seriously.
And science wasn't kick started by people like Galileo who didn't take the Bible seriously (at least not a literal interpretation)? The Bible has nothing to do with science; Newton et al might have taken it seriously; so what? Almost everyone did at the time. It's not like they had much of a choice anyway.
UNSW - Was the Galileo Retrial recorded and is it available anywhere?
