In much of Mexico where there are no tourists has a bad image of americans that they are racist by the tv who bring out the laws antimigrant language and dead people trying to cross the Rio Grande River, or the desert
Yes, that is the question, isn't it. Is this idea so ridiculous that it can only be expressed as sarcastic comedy, or is it an idea that makes politically unspeakable sense? The alternative our government seems to be pursuing, is to make an enemy of an old friend, and start another war.
You know what? I tell you this as mexican.... I do agree with you all the way. We got too many ties as neighbors, friends and even cultural as strange as that might sound.
@vydyofyl OK, then as a pure Mexican who has spent half of his life in the US. I agree with you. If I could sign up for this I would. I like your video, very eloquent.
I like the idea. I mean, Mexico citizens have crossed over here illegally, and legaly, live here, work here, and theres so many of them now, i think it would just be a good idea to bring Mexico into the United states.
Actually the gringos had a plan in the 40s to take another bite off of Mexico but that's when Japan attacked god bless Japan ! ) They also wanted states like Sinaloa Sonora Michoacan Zacatecas
speeking of wich lets unify trough baseball hows bout the Mexico city Aztecas!
Both sides would benefit. I myself have both nationalities and have lived my whole life back and forth from Mexico and the U.S. Mexico equals amazing potential and almost endless resources, plus beauty. U.S. equals lotsa money. U.S plus Mexico equals awesome new world. I just hope that annexation would come pacificly.
The problems with annexation are mostly social problems. Like I said in a post about Canada, the social aspect is what would hinder any attempt at annexation, but you are right, and both sides would greatly benefit from annexation. Really I think it is a matter of time, with the high amount of people moving north, and the growing need for resorses, will indefinetly make annexation the right choice. May we both live to see a few new stars (five is best) on the flag.
In 1848 the U.S. had the chance to annex the whole of Mexico after the War of 1848 between the U.S. and Mexico. Even Lincoln & Grant agreed that the invasion of Mexico then was a war of agression by the U.S. on similar moral grounds to that of Iraq. At least the annexation of the whole country could have privede back then some hope of improving by Americanization these new territories.
Over the long run however our federal government would give them stability they never had, stability that the northern former Mexican territories(California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Utah) benefited widely from.
The problem with Mexico is not so much the Mexican states but but the Mexico City that rules and tyrannies over them. The history of Mexico is a testament to that effect.
I got a simple solution for the problems (dictator like people, drug lords, etc.) like that just after we annex them we send the army right threw Mexico and wipe them out if they make the choice to fight us.
Technically the whole justification for government and thus taxes period is that you benefit from it. They are still called taxes, and its still regarded as an evil, even if it really is a necessary one.
I for one could never regard government forcefully requiring you to have some "income security" or "social security" or "health cost security" as a necessary, like security security. As far as I'm concerned all there really trying to get was dependency created "ideological electoral security".
Puerto Rico does not pay "taxes", we have a long standing principle in this county no taxation with out representation. On that account we don't make our territories pay taxes, although leftist in our country force them to pay taxes for "social security and Medicaid".
Truth be said our "tax system" which has been made into an income redistribution system would give them untold amount of money from us.
If they benefit from social security and medicaid, then shouldn't they be paying into the system too? WHy is it leftest for them to pay their fair share for services they are going to use just like anybody else who pays into the system. I don't see how that is leftest. Perhaps you can make me understand what you mean.

sounds good to me. I need some beach front property in Baja. So I hope we invade before I retire. As of now no american can own beach front property in mexico unless he marries a mexican or has mexican blood.(racist policies embedded in their laws)
I say we do it 100%, I am surprised we haven't, and whats the worst that could happen, we piss off the rest of the world, they all hate us any way, lets chalk up one more thing we have done to piss them off, lets annex all of north America!!

Take off the beret man, military uniforms don't belong in political debate.

It is better Mexico take back its territory, wich U.S. stole in 1848.
Actually that is what Mexicans are doing crossing the border.

They have to request statehood to be given statehood.
Tell them.

good luck with that bro
I love Mexico, but they are really proud and wont even consider it...just the 13% lower income Mexicans that cross over...the rest like it how it is.
I'm for it... we can control the Central American border when compare to the American-Mexican border
