Keanu Reeves wasn't sent to destroy the earth, he was sent be alien species to stop humans from creating inter continential balistic missiles which could threaten other species across the galaxy. if the humans failed this they would be obliterated, in fact this was more of a cold war movie with the alien symbolizing the threat of nuclear war, or at least the original was

i think this tv spot gives away too much of the story basically its alien comes to kill humans realizes the error of his ways and now must save us from the attack he started, still that being said it looks like a good movie

still not feeling, what a disgrace too. Reeves is all wrong, the new story line all wrong. they should of went with Adrian Brody, stuck more closely to the original.
