  • Genetics can predispose someone to a condition. I don't think that they get "turned on" rather that they either expressed or don't get expressed during fetal development. So people that are predisposed to being fat are going to be fat even if they do eat healthy and exercise. So diets aren't going to work for everyone and obesity is a much more complicated issue than "they just eat too damn much and are lazy."

  • @WeatherMondacicci I truly beleive that everyone has the power to change it just takes will and effort. I've lost over 60 pounds in one year

  • @MrK00T Yeah, but you may not have those genes.

  • Funny how these genes are never expressed in the refugee camps in somalia.

  • I exercise regularly. Probably too much. I eat healthy. Im 5'11 and I weigh 230 lbs. That is nearly 50 lbs over what Im supposed to weigh. I do have a bit more muscle than average, but Im still not at my ideal weight no matter how much I exercise and how well I eat.

  • genes are not magic, they cannot create fat out of nothing, you need to consume that fat....

  • Have you ever seen a fat Ethiopian?
