I think if Michael took Klonopin, or Ativan it may calm his mind and body so he'd move less. I haven't read his book, so maybe he's already mentioned taking one of those medications.
The obvious thing here would be a real delorean to go forward in time and get the cure and go back in time. Since he's an activist he want's to support people with different diagnoses. He's chosen to not act any more. So he's still a good actor, and he is an increddible author. I hope they discover the cure and that his work, and so many others will finally be credited. I think that he proves everyday that he has overcome & I don't see any less of the spark of like & the sense of humour that I grew up with & have always admired. He happens to have an awful disease but he has never let it define him & we shouldn't either. Please love him for who he is & support Parkinson's research as well.
I think he just under-medicated for this - to show his Parkinson's in full effect. People should really start donating money for the cure to Parkinson's, not because they're a fan of M.J.F, but because it's not a matter of "if" they'll find a cure - but "when" - all scientists need is funding for it. They understand how it works and what needs to be done.
To help cure Parkinson's Disease, go breath the fresh air in an open area as much as you can, Consider switching from gasoline-powered equipment to equipment powered by electricity, batteries, or compressed air if it can be used safely.
I know. I actually just posted information simular to that on another Michael J. Fox interview(: Its from when he was younger and in Canada on a set. Four other from that film now have Pakinson. He started showing in Doc Hollywood and was diagnosed a little afterwards
Just so you're aware, he was diagnosed in 1991, but had started showing symptoms in 1990, so he already had the disease in the first interview and was medicated. He often takes too much to override the parkinsons symptoms which makes him ramble a bit - which is clear in the first interview. Often when he's appearing to talk about Parkinsons, like on Oprah, he will purposefully either not medicate at all or will heavily reduce so people can see how it affects people more obviously.
You guys should watch his recent episode of Curb your Enthusiasm, he did a great job and he looks great in it too, much better than in this interview. Maybe the drugs are getting better, idk. Anyway, even in this interview he looks pretty good to me, he's still smiling he still has that great personality. He's just moving around all the time because he has that cruddy neurological disease, yeah it sucks but once you get past that he's still as likable as he ever was.
He isn't always that bad. The interview just took place during a "phase". There are other interviews, later than this one, in which his body was quite calm.
I haven't cried for a long time, and this just made me shed tears. Out of respect for the guy please don't put a "then and now" type of title on this video. This is not a commercial for a weight loss program you know. It's someone's life.

Couldn't agree more with selfdfence1. Michael is nothing short of amazing. The fact that he had such a great career and yet is still able to be so strong inside and fight so hard to help others, makes him a true hero in every sense of the word. This man is truly one of God's own image.

I hated this video, maybe your intentions were good, but personally I wouldn't like the result. What do you see when you look at him, a man like you and me or a disease??? Poor Michael??? WTF?!?! I think he's doing great, he has his condition, and he is brave and optimist, he wakes up everyday knowing he has to deal with that and fights against it. He is not someone for you to feel pity, but admiration. And he is a good actor!!!! Not was :-/ He is the same person that he always was.

I don't see Michael as a sick person, I see him as a person who understands what life is about.

The obvious thing here would be a real delorean to go forward in time and get the cure and go back in time. Since he's an activist he want's to support people with different diagnoses. He's chosen to not act any more. So he's still a good actor, and he is an increddible author. I hope they discover the cure and that his work, and so many others will finally be credited. I think that he proves everyday that he has overcome & I don't see any less of the spark of like & the sense of humour that I grew up with & have always admired. He happens to have an awful disease but he has never let it define him & we shouldn't either. Please love him for who he is & support Parkinson's research as well.

I think he just under-medicated for this - to show his Parkinson's in full effect. People should really start donating money for the cure to Parkinson's, not because they're a fan of M.J.F, but because it's not a matter of "if" they'll find a cure - but "when" - all scientists need is funding for it. They understand how it works and what needs to be done.

I know. I actually just posted information simular to that on another Michael J. Fox interview(: Its from when he was younger and in Canada on a set. Four other from that film now have Pakinson. He started showing in Doc Hollywood and was diagnosed a little afterwards

Just so you're aware, he was diagnosed in 1991, but had started showing symptoms in 1990, so he already had the disease in the first interview and was medicated. He often takes too much to override the parkinsons symptoms which makes him ramble a bit - which is clear in the first interview. Often when he's appearing to talk about Parkinsons, like on Oprah, he will purposefully either not medicate at all or will heavily reduce so people can see how it affects people more obviously.

You guys should watch his recent episode of Curb your Enthusiasm, he did a great job and he looks great in it too, much better than in this interview. Maybe the drugs are getting better, idk. Anyway, even in this interview he looks pretty good to me, he's still smiling he still has that great personality. He's just moving around all the time because he has that cruddy neurological disease, yeah it sucks but once you get past that he's still as likable as he ever was.
