  • I like the invention but I made one myself in 5 minutes with a metal coat hanger, vice grips, and duct tape. Have you considered making the top a sharp triangular shape instead of flat (like |\ instead of _ ) so less litter will rest on top of the thing?

  • Always glad to see others coming up with their own inventions!

I've thought about the angled ledge - both as part of the BAG-it and as an add on piece. Might come up with a prototype soon.

Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

  • WOW that is a good idea!! :)

  • I ordered this from you and put it in action today along with your other Littermaid product, the PermaLid!

As if having a Littermaid litterbox didn't make things easy and non-messy enough, this makes cleaning up after my cat even more of a breeze.

Glad I'll be saving the money on those flimsy plastic containers, too. The Bag-it and PermaLid fit the Littermaid precisely and worked.

I'm a very satisfied customer! If anyone out there has a Littermaid (which I also recommend- worth the $) get this!

  • does this fit all littermaids? where to get it? thanks

  • Yes, it fits all models because they all use the same receptacles.

You can buy it on the LazrArt web site.

  • where do you get bag it?

  • On the LazrArt web page.

  • This is cool, I just went and bought it! I still hate the littermaid though!

  • I bought this and the top...I love you for designing this. I have a cat with cerebellar hypoplasia and two "normal cats" the cat with CH must lay down to go to the bathroom and the litter must be immaculate. I had a cat genie but the wash time was too long and he can't wait when he has to go. Now with your product he can go...and it's clean...and I am not broke buying those boxes for the littermaid. Thank you.

  • I've had a littermaid for about 12 years obviously and early model, it works pretty well

I've been covering the plastic receptacles with grocery bags and it saves money, this "Bag-it" method looks like it would work well too.

  • That's the idea, but with BAG-it, you don't need to remove the receptacle each time you need to throw out the grocery bag.

  • so the box is a good buy then

  • this is a great idea...

  • Thanks Tim. Saw your video too. With 5 cats, you could definitely use a BAG-it in each of your boxes. I would also recommend more litter in each box.

  • perfect, I'll buy one for sure

  • wow, cool, i will buy it... i hate the stupid plastic trays as they are impossible to insert with the newest model, agh

  • You'll still need to insert one more receptacle, but it should be the last one and you'll never need to take it out:-)

  • lol cool, thanks... theis littermaid model sucks though, i have the exam same one. For some reason it doesn't scoope at all sometimes. I had anothe rmodel (the one before this) and ti worked better IMO

  • I have 3 cats and have used littermaid for about 7 years and this is a great idea I've tried all kinds of bags to save on trays and always have some kind of mess or cracked the tray putting it in and out so many times. this would be a time and money saver!!!!!

  • Sounds like my story (just change the 3 cats to 5). That's why I invented it. You can buy one on ebay now - satisfaction guaranteed.

  • how often do you have to empty it with 3 cats
