im not gona lie , that looked like some kinda photo shop or somthin but i bet if u used rage he would of went 20 yrds in sted of 80 . But good shot thogh
For being the worlds largest antelope with a distribution through small countries, 15000 to 20000 left. Now makes me wonder how you would feel with your weapons used against you during your dinner. I would definately feel like a man.
@nekoshizumi it isnt the killing part that makes me love bowhunting. It is the thrill and being out in nature away from the city lights (usually). The overall experience of hunting is simply amazing. I go out with family and friends and we get to talk bout the days hunt and we get to share the experience. But shooting any big game animal within 20 yds is a thrill.
oh and yeah if I shot a grizzly bear, kudu bull, moose etc at bow range I would feel like a man.
@nekoshizumi The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species has the Eland listed as "Least Concern". There are over 130,000 of them in the wild and the population is stable or increasing. The reasonmany animals are doing well is because they now have an economic value. Each animal killed is used for its meat and the revenue from license fees helps pay for conservation efforts. The fees that the outfitter charges provides income for chefs, trackers and staff. Consider the facts before commenting.
The vitals on african game is farther forward. that was an awesome shot, you may not know but an eland is 2200 lbs. + larger that a moose. It takes a bit for them to kick over. Great hunt, yes a hunt because thats how they do it, waterhole with a bow.
what kind of broadhead .where do you get 50 cal. broadheads good kill good shot for all treehuggers watch the blood spilling this is what's known as a clean kill
Is this even hunting? I'm assuming you had a guide drive you in a jeep to a close proximity, and then you proceeded to shoot the eland. Master hunter indeed.

i'm gonna shoot your precious mom through the head with an arrow so we can all watch her bleed out next. sound good? but nah, dude, it's for sport. i hunt your family. how bout i put one through your daughters leg and we can watch her try and figure out why the sticky blood gushes so fast. nah, dude, i'll youtube it. sound fair?
Said he was using a NAP Bloodrunner. He lived so long becuase broadhead kill by creating hemorrhaging or blood loss, These are big animal with a lot of blood to lose and unlike a human some animals can lose upwards of 70% of blood volume and still live
What broadhead did you use, how far did it go eventually and did you find any evidence what caused the animal to live that long after what seems like a good shot?
I was using the NAP bloodrunner he went about 80 yards. The skinners and my PH told me it hit both lungs, cut the Aorta artery off the heart and hit the other shoulder. They stated he has 8 Gal. of blood
it was bleading like a garden hose jeeze thats crazy good hunt and shot

Wow, not much touble tracking with a blood trail like that eh? I just made my decision as to which broadhead I'm going to buy.

I started to think it was a red flag attached to the arrow, then I discovered that it was blood by seeing the big pond of it on the ground.
