  • I don't care if he is still a kid, he sounds like a total fag.

  • It's funny that this video gets a lot of hits for "alien energy " search terms :)

  • this is a final fantasy part... o_0

  • Well, THAT was an obvious nod to FFVII.

  • @OrcishSlacker Wow, they totally stole not only the design but the CAMERA ANGLES from the FF7 Makou Cannon.

  • Hah, guy in the tower seems to be wearing red.

    Ironyyyy

  • v..... Yes FF7 Midgard.

  • looks like to me like ff7's midgard with the reactors.

  • Surprise it's the exact same basic idea

  • Maybe have a gander at Wooden Books' Earth Grids, for a collation of many different geomantic disciplines.

The Earth is like a giant computer. There's elemental metal veins, underground waterways with EM currents that affect the surface, capacitor stones, emitter rocks....the list goes on.

What rock types determine soil types determine plant types...it's just like a circuit board, and things like stone circles were ways of utlising and guiding the varying forces already present.

  • Why cant they get this game with expansion on Good Old Games??? I was never able to get the expansion to work on my new computer.

  • @Orion6699

All this talk about ACentauri made me install it again. No problem running it on a Dual Core Win 7 64-bit. Go to Firaxis homepage and click support and run the patch + win 2000 / xp fix.

  • Curiously if what i've read is right, they're actually doing it wrong. In Feng Shui you're supposed to avoid straight lines at all costs, since they turn the energy flow into "secret arrows" which cause entropy, manifesting as bad luck.

Curvy is good, spirally is best. Straight is a big no-no though, and grids don't bear thinking about... if you perscribe to the whole school of thought at all, that is.

  • Well its called the planetary energy grid so thats probably why.

  • yeah any line over the surface of a sphere is a curve.

  • What this video represents is no more bullshit than creating light by a flick of a finger, predicting weather or flying. This is technology making magic real.

  • While you all sit and argue history concurs. you are simply just now bieng made aware of the grand design. good luck

  • Your Words of Wisdom fall upon many deafened ears. Only in time, maybe, will they come to know. Until then, know that though I do agree with you, still......Many have "Education" and you see how they mumble and grumble about such. Few will ever have "Knowledge". Only from the proper AND correct application of this comes "Experience". And from the proper and correct application of BOTH of these does "Wisdom" happen. Good Luck. Now And Forever.....Uriel (AKA: Hawk3766)

  • good

  • You people actually think that Feng Shui came from Final Fantasy?!

  • @Kemonokami

Nah just the city design :3

  • scary friggen voice

  • is this a reference to the Uplift storyline, made popular by David Brinn? The Progenitors were the most-ancient of the races that preceded all known sentient life in the universe, who died out millions of years before the story line.

  • Probably not. You can't throw a brick in scifi without hitting at least three ancient, vanished/returning civilizations named Precursors, Progenitors, Ancients, Old Ones, First Ones, Elder Ones, Pri-somethings, Pro-somethings and/or Those Really Old Bastards Who Made This Superweapon That We're Fighting And Got Themselves Killed.

  • Or super being.

    Also don't forget the auditors.

  • I hate to say it, but Dialetics and StWolfie are correct in that FF7 came out in '97, whereas this came out in '99... I wouldn't say there is likely to me any relationship whatsoever between the two, however...

  • Cha Dawn is so damn agressive... reminds me of the Believers. But hen again, they, too have a religious faction, so go figure. He's easy to get rid of provided his faction doesn't proliferate....

  • yeah this vid totally looks like FF7

  • You mean FF7 looks like this. This game was made before FF7.

  • you do realize that FF7 came out a whole 2 years before this game, right?

  • that's freaking small! the story says he's only six...

  • cha dawn is supposed to be a boy, right? it sounds like a girl plays his voice.

  • Maybe he's still just a kid :D! According to Firaxis he's only 114cm tall and weighs 27 kilos.

  • Oh! Yeah, that makes a whole lot more sense. He is a little kid. Prophet Cha Dawn (chawed on) is a kid that is symbioted with the planet fungus and perhaps a mind worm. You'd have to play the game to understand.

  • @matsku84 Bloody grass munching vegetards. That would account for it

  • @spartan289

    No one really knows, though...

  • Are the energy paths they speak of supposed to be based off of ley lines or is this some parallel theory? Nice animation btw.

  • I have absolutely no idea! You should ask someone at Firaxis or maybe even Sid Meier himself :D!
