Clearly - Avery did not know who he was running into......He is such a brave guy - usually fights a non-tough guy - like the time he chickened out against all comers - but fought Bruno Gervais.....a non - fighter. I think Hamonic would have beaten him worse than Haley.....much like Dubinsky fighting a non-fighter in Jack Hillen......and failing to fight Martin at the buzzer - who would have owned him.
Actually, Hamonic has gotten in a couple of fights this year and he can handle himself, but he's not the guy the Islanders want fighting. This.. Was horrible. No punches landed, they just held alot. Avery cut himself on his own helmet. All the comments got me so antsy I thought Haley killed Avery. Fucking assholes way to get my hopes up :P

Clearly - Avery did not know who he was running into......He is such a brave guy - usually fights a non-tough guy - like the time he chickened out against all comers - but fought Bruno Gervais.....a non - fighter. I think Hamonic would have beaten him worse than Haley.....much like Dubinsky fighting a non-fighter in Jack Hillen......and failing to fight Martin at the buzzer - who would have owned him.

Actually, Hamonic has gotten in a couple of fights this year and he can handle himself, but he's not the guy the Islanders want fighting. I'm sure he would have done all right vs. Avery, but it's clear Haley wanted his shot and the coach sent him out to get it. The Islanders the last couple of years were a team that got pushed around a lot & it seems they've made a real effort to toughen up and they're becoming a team other teams hate playing. And Gillies scored a goal in this game!
