Why don't people pull back enough? When you pull back not only will you see bubbles but the suction will pull them back in when you let go. Inject slow if you start to cough you are in a vein.
Intramuscular injections are suppose to be giving with the skin spreaded not pinched together. Its the sub dermas injections that the skin it pinched. You want to make sure the tissue it spreaded and the medication is getting into the muscle.
@TasmiaVictoria It does not matter as long as you check for the air bubble by pulling back just a wee bit on the syringe in the leg which he seemed to do. If you get blood you are in the wrong spot and start over.

It actually depends on what you are injecting. Some drugs need to be administered into the muscle, some into the fatty tissue layer, and some are subcutaneous (just under the skin).
what size needle are you using.. looks like a 1" .. you need to make sure u use a 1.5" needle just to make sure u deposit in the muscle and not in between..

well im not thinking about the toilet..the only sterile thing that needs to be on me is my leg got it pal? and most shots are given in the bathroom due to privacy..sheesh,,so stupid..i dare not give into people like yourself.

I have now done this 7 times and I still get queasy. I would never make it as a insulin shot dependent diabetic.
