Thing is there's nothing wrong with trigging a bass drum,

it's pretty obvious here that he's done it to only get a punchier sound as there are some bass notes off the beat, proving he hasn't tried to quantize them.

Toms need a bit of a tune and turning up in the over all mix, and the kicks need dramatically turning down, and if I were you take a bit of the reverb off of the snare in the mix.

hey man nice cover, the one thing though is on your blast beats (especially for an extended length of time) practice on keeping the power behind each hit on the snare. It sounds good but even when its mic'd you can tell a big difference between the solid hits and the softer blast hits.
