AW shit i just saw a trailer for Star Wars episode 1 in 3D........Does George Lucas not have enough money yet????? he just keeps re-re-re-re-re releasing these films, and raping the fans in the process. STOP IT GEORGE LUCAS STOP!!!!!!!! Even though i'm pissed off about him re-releasing these films again, i do have to admit that I am a star wars fan and i probably will go see these films. Kinda sad that Beauty and the Beast did not do any better. I totaly loved it when I was little and totaly drug my boyfriend to see it this time around. He lost the bet so that was his punishment...which I think is not a very good punishment at all. =)

Wow, I guess someone exorcised the box office to get The Devil Inside out of there (OK, I admit that was a terrible joke). But I'm glad it's out. And Beauty and the Beast did fine, I guess. I didn't really expect it to do as great as The Lion King. Even though people (including myself) love Beauty and the Beast, I think more people (including myself) love The Lion King.

Beauty and the Beast was definitely a quieter release. No Blu or Blu3D to coincide like Lion King. Plus playoffs and January sucks in general. Saw it Friday night and it's the best experience in a very long time.

Beauty and the Beast has already been released on blu ray (2d and 3d versions) so that would of affected its box office because lion king came out before the blu ray.
