  • All Hail the Power of Jesus Name!

  • HA, wonder if it hurt much.

  • @angie4josh Nothing like the Lake of Fire will for those who reject Him.

  • jesus get wound murdered because of us to free in all sin now in life we easy and do always evil or bad doing we didn't realize how jesus sacrifice from us and each of one of us did not appriciate the sacrifice that he do from us now there is a time to change give our life to him and worship him now and forever do not do bad doing do not go where evil thoughs are wating run from it do not give .

  • and he will come back to fight the evil forces in the world ,,those Muslims who are actually following the correct path will follow him and then he will spend his life and will die to prove his humanity .

  • well i dont know but i think i have seen some video on national geographic conducting a study whether a human body weighing as same as Jesus (i believe he is alive no offense intended) can be hung by nails in the hand on that cross and they took two hands and then hung that weight and after few minutes (i guess) the nails tore through the palms and the weight fell down(which the supposed was the body) as a Muslim i still believe he is alive he was taken to the heaven before they could crucified

  • @majjavirgo Jesus was nailed through the wrists, which were considered part of the hand at that time, and therefore his weight would have been supported. Jesus said "The Scripture (the Holy Bible) cannot be broken." John 10:35. It clearly teaches that He died for our sins and rose again from the dead, and will save all who come to Him. Bible prophecy being fulfilled in history and now in current events proves that the Holy Bible is His Word.

  • @JackJ1957 well i am not satisfied with the way the five versions of bibles were chosen so the authenticity is the main issue ..but anyway il keep my search on you keep yours:)

  • @majjavirgo Authenticity is verified by God fulfilling the Biblical prophecies. He puts His "seal of approval" on the Holy Bible by fulfilling it... "When all this comes true — and it surely will — then they will know that a prophet has been among them." Ezekiel 33:33.

  • @JackJ1957 indeed ..but what iam talking about is the whole bible not a part of it,, i do believe in bible and know that its the word of God but the thing is, people have made so many amendments in the holy bible that even all the christians dont have a single bible to follow,, when i compare Quran to that (which is the sequel of holy bible that was sent to jesus) there is not a word different from other and there are billions of Quranic copies in the world.

  • by the way can you give me the link to any good website that has authentic information about christianity , and bot catholic and protestant sects, i like to read more about it.

  • @majjavirgo An excellent book that answers many Bible questions, including it's textual transmission, is "Evidence That Demands A Verdict" by Josh McDowell. Also, I have links to many Christian web sites on my web site, on various subjects concerning Christian doctrine. It's at: passionofthecross.info. Click on the "links" button.

  • @majjavirgo When I found Him, I did not need to search any longer... I now need to stay with Him!

  • I believe this is something like Jesus would have looked. The Bible says you could not recognize him. However, my belief, after the resurrection, most of this was gone. EXCEPT what held him on the cross.

  • @willienunya I agree!

  • hermoso

  • @Gukumatzkukulkan verdaderamente...

  • is this really how my Lord ended up? :'(

  • @TheRatedrko12 Temporarily... then on the third day He arose! He will come again on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory!

  • not even jigsaw can be that cruel, my lord...I am sorry for having offended thee..please..please......forgive me...as I am but a human..with instincts that lead me astray from yur teachings..

  • @johnianflores i say Amen to that i ask for the same forgiveness we are only human and we get tempted easliy but please lord gives us the strenghth to live another day everyday!

  • i dont think he was cut up this bad!

  • @janey0901 "As many were astonied at Thee; His visage was so MARRED, MORE THAN ANY MAN, and His form more than the sons of men: So shall He sprinkle (cleanse) many nations..." Isaiah 52:14-15. Notice "...more marred than ANY man..." Visage means "face." The prophecy was completely and literally fulfilled in Jesus' crucifixion. Read on through Isaiah 53, and then Psalm 22.

  • @Baretta1983 I believe it was this bad...

  • because of our transgressions and iniquities, he was crushed and wounded. in his wound we are healed. the stripes that you see in his body is your sins, my sins, our sins. because he loves you and me and he has to die at the cross like a slaughtered animal. God is Love

  • Jesus was'nt butchered like that.

  • @baretta1983 "As many were astonied at Thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men: So shall He sprinkle (cleanse) many nations..." Isaiah 52:14-15. Notice "...more marred than ANY man..." Visage means "face." The prophecy was completely and literally fulfilled in Jesus' crucifixion. Read on through Isaiah 53, and then Psalm 22.

  • @baretta1983 and how would you know that?

  • @awubinski The Bible's pretty clear about it - I don't know why he can't see that!

  • And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.1 John 4:14

  • excelente, gloria a dios

  • omg i almost cried cause this is just a fake one but this actully happend to the real jesus

  • :`(

  • GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD

  • SLAVA GOSPODU ISUSU HRISTU.

  • thats fake its to much rips and blod lol this is fake!!!

  • @tobiasner97 "As many were astonied at Thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men: So shall He sprinkle (cleanse) many nations..." Isaiah 52:14-15. Notice "...more marred than ANY man..." Visage means "face." The prophecy was completely and literally fulfilled in Jesus' crucifixion. Read on through Isaiah 53, and then Psalm 22.

  • The story of the suffering of Jesus is the archetype of man's inhumanity to man. All Jesus had to do to undo the curse of the law was to die, since he was a sinless man. But he did more than he had to do. He took on himself all the evil of which man was capable. He faced the great and hateful of this world and without hesitation responded with love. The manner of his death is a strong witness against human evil. If the innocent are subject to such suffering, God help us sinners!

  • Isaiah 52:14

Just as there were many who were appalled at him--his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness

  • Just imagine it was us that were to be punished, but he paid the price for our salvation. No words can ever describe the love the that was shown on the cross

  • Wow that is so graphic and startling (:O) but probably the best depiction of Yeshua's suffering I have seen. It captures the prophets' descriptions of the Passion very well. Thanks for conveying to us the great love He showed us in enduring the cross! All glory and honour to our Messiah and Lord Yeshua!!

  • @YESHUAisMessiahKing Amen - and thank you!

  • is that flesh or blood?

  • @danthearcitect It depicts both!

  • whats the panit?

  • @danthearcitect Testor's Dark Red Model Enamel

  • He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

  • is this from a movie?

  • @kingdomheart4ever No, it's a photo of a figurine that I painted and detailed - based on the prophecy in Isaiah 52:14-15.

  • @JackJ1957 Wow thats a lot of blood O_O

  • @kingdomheart4ever "Since we have now been justified by His blood , how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him!" Romans 5:9-10

  • why would your watch enyone die sick

  • @kutlericeland "...shew the Lord's death till He come." 1 Corinthians 11:26

  • Jesus is the way to know God here on earth, to literally be one with God and Christ is possible if you want it bad enough, fast, pray, read the Gospel and forsake all sin and all the worlds way. JUST cut out all worldly pleasures and ask God on your knees to be ONE with Christ ..saying, MAKE ME HOLY GOD for I am not HOLY AND WANT TO have this sinful nature removed, please God remove my sinful nature and give me the HOLY nature of the Spirit of Christ. READ the whole Gospel asking this.

  • @TheDarvus It is essentially a photographic negative, with light and dark shades reversed. Many details of the image are only revealed when the shroud is photographed, and the positive image is viewed on the film. The image contains 3 dimensional properties that normal photographs do not. It has not, and cannot, be reproduced by any modern technique to this day.

  • @TheDarvus This mysterious artifact, which is purported to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ, has been subjected to some of most rigorous scientific testing ever done on an ancient object. While many aspects of the image remain a mystery, it has been determined that it is not a drawing or painting. The image is a scorch, a light burn that only affected the surface of the linen. The image contains details of pathophysiology unknown to people of antiquity.

  • @TheDarvus The Shroud was "dated" with 3 carbon 14 tests in 1988. Later it was discovered that the sample they snipped to do the test was from a 13th Century repair to one end of the Shroud. The entire Shroud has been handled extensively in it's traceable history back to that time. Contaminants skew carbon 14 tests, and LIVING snails have been dated at 3,000 years! So no, the Shroud has not been exposed as a fabrication, much to the chagrin of it's detractors.

  • I bet even his bones were bleeding. Thanks for what you did Jesus.

  • Just want to say that i red a book about shroud in Torino - there are much bloody signs from wounds but not bloody mash like on this So this is overdone.

  • @henri2355 People have to remember that the Shroud captured the instant of resurrection, when all but the nail prints and spear wound were being healed and Jesus' body was being glorified. The Shroud would then show approximately the mid-point of that healing. The Scripture clearly prophesied that He would be "...more marred than any man..." and that's what happened.

  • ...there was no place on his skin left without wounds... Lord, thank you for all that you did for us ^^

  • is that thing made out of ground meat?

  • @justinoakley999 No, it's made from ceramic, red thread, model paint, oil paint and velcro shavings.

  • God Bless us, everyone of us

  • @RossWyatt As Tiny Tim observed. Amen!

  • Pero qué mierda es esto!!??? Qué asco!!!! >=/

  • Because He is the Great that I AM. His death had to have been extreme. Jesus Christ died for the world. His cause was for the world. And the world received Him not. That's deep. Lord judge me severely, correct me ruthlessly, and rebuke me throughtly so I can server u more perfectly. Keep me away from pride, foolishness and self-centerness.Fill my cup with your tears, that I may love those whom You Love, and understand with Your heart and passion.

  • i really love you Lord

  • He wouldn't have been wearing the loincloth, he would have been naked.

  • @Theakker3 That's true... but I wasn't about to depict Him that way for numerous reasons! A lot of people know that was the case already.

  • GOD'S PASSION OF THE CROSS

  • @JackJ1957 Hello, jack i have a Question.

    - does any verse in any version of bible, and jesus state "Worship Me, I am your God?"

Feel free to watch this, youtube.com/watch?v=4iMsSy8gagw

perhaps, you could do some 'Comparative religion'

    Peace.

  • @ketam17 No, not verbatim. But why did Jesus receive worship? Because He knew that He Himself was God. He received worship in Mt. 14:33 and 28:9-10. He never rebuked those who worshipped Him. He was worshiped in Mt. 2:11 by the Magi. It says in Hebrews 1:6 that the angels of God should worship Him. Why do we worship Jesus Christ if the Bible says to only worship God? If we look at Hebrews 1:8 we notice that it is speaking about the Son when it says, "THY THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER...."

  • @JackJ1957 Dude. You are wrong. At many places even hundered times Jesus Himself said that He is God ( directly ). If He didn't said that why Jews screwed Him to Death? Because they believe only in One God but not in The Son of God. Jesus Claimed to Be the Son of the Power and He said He would be seated at The Right Hand Of The Power. Literally right hand means full hold or full Authority.

  • @eraser695 I didn't say He didn't verbatim claim Deity. The question Ketam 17 posed to me was, did Jesus state "Worship Me, I am your God?" That is not a Biblical quote of Jesus. Jesus claimed Deity many times throughout the New Testament, but He did not use this phrase.

  • @JackJ1957 It seems you are Catholic. Can we be friends....?

  • @eraser695 I don't mind being friends, but based on your profile info, I don't know if you'll want to be. I'm not a Catholic, but an Assembly of God Pentecostal.

  • @JackJ1957 It was never my intention to hurt anyone. My Church never teaches us to fight. But rather we pray for all in Our Church. But each and every protestant channel is filled with heresies against the Catholic Church. It hurts when they call us the Whore of Babylon, they call Pope a nonsense though he not only represents just Catholics but the whole Christianity. It pierce alot when heretics say anything wrong about Mother Mary and all saints. All we need is love and peace.

  • @eraser695 I believe the Bible, cover to cover. If it's Biblical, I believe it. If it's contrary to the Bible, I do not believe it. That is what Jesus teaches us, and that's what I strive to do. Love all, and obey God... "as it is written."

  • @JackJ1957 If everything was already written there was no need of Jesus. Bible is not a word to word nursery book of alphabets. But its a book of words of wisdom. on each word a whole book can be written. But if you are taking it word to word without any transcription or without understanding its meanings then you are just reading a book of nursery rhymes. I challenge you no true Bible is that just simple, though many heretics have altered it acc. to their own selfish motives.

  • @eraser695 Heb 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

  • @JackJ1957 " I believe the Bible, cover to cover."

So you believe in unicorns, talking animals, a flat earth, and two contradictory versions of Creation?

    Man, that's not very intelligent.

  • @Imaginefree69 The KJV translators substituted "unicorn" for an unknown and possibly extinct animal when they should have simply transliterated the Hebrew. Talking animals - like parrots? Besides, the serpent that did the talking was Satan. The Bible nowhere teaches a flat earth (Is.40:22). The "2" accounts of creation are not contradictory - Genesis 1 tells of the overall creation, Gen. 2 gives the details of what God created in the Garden. Your straw man arguments are not very intelligent.

  • @JackJ1957 Its ok my brother. I hate lies but I love truth. I hope you'll love truth as well. The pentecostals are rising protestants. I just hate them because they abuses all the Catholics. But now I think they are understanding some facts many of them are coming back to Church. I will don't mind to be your friend or I say bro. You can share whatever you want to, bro.

  • In John 17:11 Jesus prays “that they may be one as we are one”. So Jesus prays, and the exact opposite of what he prays comes true. Hundreds of divided denominations, wars, persecutions, etc within xtianity. Wouldn’t you think that the second person of a three person God would have more power, or a little more pull?

  • @dvkuth All true Christians are one. False Christians are not one with us. In Rev. 17 He predicted a large harlot religion in the last days, that would persecute and murder true Christians in great numbers. So Jesus' prayer for His followers unity has been answered positively through the centuries - the world just doesn't understand that all who claim to be "Christian" are not!

  • @JackJ1957 As you said harlot to,.... I know whom you called the whore. Thats why I hate such religions or liberals who point fingers on others.

  • @eraser695 The harlot religion of Revelation 17 does not exist yet. It will be made up of pseudochristians who do not genuinely know Jesus, and will be used by the antichrist until he feels he needs it no more, then he will destroy them.

  • @JackJ1957 What is that? Many among you point fingers at the Catholic Church. And your story is deviating from your religion's point of view. By the way the whore of babylon was present, it is still present till the end. It is uniting many mass religions. To attack the Catholic Church. And it is functional. As I am Pakistani only Catholics are burnt alive in my country not protestants. While same persecutions occur to the Catholics of Orrissa (India). Vids are available on youtube. Why is it so?

  • @eraser695 I've been with the Assembly of God Church for 14 years now, and never once have I heard anyone point fingers at the Catholics. Many of us have Catholic relatives. With that said, there are saved Catholics, and there are unsaved Catholics. There are saved Protestants, and there are unsaved Protestants. If people will believe in the Jesus of the Bible, confess their sin, repent of their sin, and receive Christ as Savior by faith, then they are saved.

  • christ is not the son of god because god does not need a son.

    *can you ancer thes Qustions?

1-why god have a son and at the same time you say that preasts are more puer to have a son ? (this means god can have sex like humen but som human cant!!)

2- whay god will send a son to forgive all man kinde , why didnt god send a dohter to forgive all the women if he is mursfull and farelike he minchind??

3-why ther is an other name on every bible but the holy quran does't have??

  • @hy867129 God is a Triune Being - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are One. "Need" has nothing to do with it. The Biblical priesthood ended in 70 AD. Barring people from being married is unbiblical. God did not have sexual relations with Mary! The Holy Spirit conceived Jesus in her womb. Women are part of mankind (a little more than half, actually). Every Bible I have says "Holy Bible" on it. Can't speak for any others. Have you seen ALL Qurans?

  • @JackJ1957 you say father is holy, son is holy, holy spirit, this sondes that they are diffrent gods,so why you are saying they are one??

if you think that christ is the son of god what about adam?? he didnt have amother or a father??

  • @hy867129 No, they are not "different gods." Triangle: Three corners, One Triangle; Egg: White, Yolk, Shell. One Egg. Water: Liquid, Solid (ice), Gas (water vapor). One Substance. God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. One God.

The Bible speaks of many different sons of God - Angels, Adam, men in general, Christ in particular. Adam was the first created human son of God. He didn't have a mother. Jesus is the "2nd" Adam, He became incarnate from His eternal state. See 1 Corinthians 15:45-49.

  • @kaka65432 We Christians don't hate Jews. We RESPECT and LOVE everyone. I'll have you know that we Christians don't practice hatred. Instead, we practice love. As what Jesus said, "Love your enemies as you love yourself.". And these are what we are practicing nowadays. Please don't mislead yourself to wrong ideas. BTW, check the way you spelled JESUS: jesues - for us Christians, this is a disrespect. Spell it properly with a CAPITAL "J".

  • why does Christin hate jews i mean jeues was jews so it dosent make since that you hate them becouse if you hate him you hate jesues when he diead he knew he wiil die becouse it was god wiil even when he diead he said forgive them father becouse they dont know what they are doing think a bouet that

  • @kaka65432 Real Christians don't hate Jewish people, we love and support them. Fake "Christians" are hateful. Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments" John 14:15. Romans 11 tells us that we are to love and pray for Israel... "the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable." Romans 11:29. Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai!

  • @JackJ1957 I am a believer of Christ/Christian i dont hate Jews. Where did u get that from. That's not true about Christians.

  • @Godbtheglory1 kaka65432 asked why Christians hate Jews. I told him we didn't. Only false believers practice hatred for people. Christians love sinners and hate sin. Big difference!

  • @kaka6543 jesus belived in peace thats why he is our only friend we trust the only one we love and the only one who never lies

  • whats with all the mince meat?

  • @suryakiller "As many were astonied at Thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men: So shall He sprinkle (cleanse) many nations..." Isaiah 52:14-15. Notice "...more marred than ANY man..." Visage means "face." The prophecy was completely and literally fulfilled in Jesus' crucifixion. Read on through Isaiah 53, and then Psalm 22. Most depictions of the crucifixion do not take OT prophecy into account. I did.

  • this is exagerrating

  • @perp92 What part of

"His visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men..." (Isaiah 52:14)

    don't you understand?

  • @JackJ1957 yea, i understand but that looks nothing a bunch of meat like if birds ate him or something, like raw meat, i understand he went through a lot of pain but that looks like a butcher handled him and then burned him

  • @perp92 The prophecy says: "As many were astonied at thee..." Isaiah 52:14.

"Astonied" means "petrified" or "like a stone." Isaiah paints a tremendously horrific word picture. The person is described as so disfigured that those who see Him are petrified. What they are hearing and seeing is indescribably graphic, and never before seen in all history.

  • @JackJ1957 hmmm, i see you know your word pretty well, what church do you go to?

  • @perp92 Assembly of God.

  • @JackJ1957 never heard of it

  • @perp92 It's the fastest growing and world's largest Pentecostal denomination with some 63 million members and adherents: ag.org

  • @JackJ1957 OoOo so your pentacostal?

  • @perp92 I'm Assembly of God Pentecostal. Not everything labeled "pentecostal" is Biblical. I believe AOG has the right Scriptural balance regarding pentecostalism.

  • @JackJ1957 you guys speak in tongues?

  • @perp92 Yes, per I Corinthians 12, 13, & 14.

  • @JackJ1957 oh, i see,

  • You know, I don't know if the crucifixion and beating of Jesus was really that brutal or not but that's not the point. The point is that He suffered a horrendous death. He suffered this horrendous death for our sins! Forgiveness is available to us through baptism! (Act 2:38 RSV) And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

  • If everything Jesus did were written down, John supposed that the world would not contain the books that could be written. What God inspired to be in His Word is the minimum of what He knew we would need. Part of that is the prophecy of Isaiah 52:14, which this representation was based on. If it was important to God to record it, it was important. Baptism and salvation: I Peter 3:21. Blessings to you and yours!

  • @Holly3278 well the bible does state that they beat him so bad that he no longer look like a man

  • make me your,s servant "o" lord.i accept all my sins in thy sights.

    bless every body and me.

And lead me in a righteous way to serve you as well as you,s people

  • if he is a god how come they kill him??! << just asking a simple question?!

    i respect Jesus!!

  • @s3dooooooooooooooon First of all, He's not "a" god - He's God. There is only one. His human body, which He created for Himself, died when He substituted for payment for our sins. Spirits do not die like physical bodies do. His didn't, ours won't... except for those who die in sin. They will experience a living death for all eternity.

  • @JackJ1957 Amen.

  • Coz He was give His Life's for our sins, He come to earth being a saviour ... you can see clearly when you read the bible ... trust me ... you will find the truth.

  • I love this music, but I don't know what it is??

  • @thordisbeate I can't remember the exact title, but it's from the original Backtraxx music library from Digital Juice.

  • It is gross and yet so true. Can he just still be alive.Please.I am still crying inside and out.We love you Jesus.Give me thumbs down if you want to.

  • I understand. Of course He's alive - but the Scripture also tells us to "...proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." 1 Cor 11:26. It also says of the Galatians

"Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified." Galatians 3:1. So it's clear God wants us to tell all parts of the story. On my web site I do that.

  • @Ty66wwe He is very much alive. Amen. I can never thank God enough in this lifetime. for His son Jesus Christ.

  • i love you Jesus <3 <3 <3

  • that made me cry, i was raised a Christian but I never thought it was that bad.

  • not sure its the best music you could have chosen, but hey.

    I love jesus <3

  • I know - it's the best I had that was in my copyright free library.

  • @JackJ1957 I do love the music, because I'm happy that Jesus has risen and is alive. It's beautiful, but I don't know what it is? Please tell me! God bless You!

  • I think they went abit OTT on his cuts and stuff but we get the point. I dont think they flogged him round the face but hay if it works amen.

  • "As many were astonied at Thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men: So shall He sprinkle (cleanse) many nations..." Isaiah 52:14-15. Notice "...more marred than ANY man..." Visage means "face." The prophecy was completely and literally fulfilled in Jesus' crucifixion. Read on through Isaiah 53, and then Psalm 22.

  • @Dave1ization IN THE BIBLE IT SAID THAT THEY BEAT HIM SO BAD, HE DIDN'T LOOK HUMAN...NOW THAT'S A BAD AND ABUSIVE BEATING THERE.

  • No - Testor's model paint (Dark Red) and Red Sienna oil paint. It is a 7" figurine.

  • When a man reaches a point where he seeks no comfort from any creature, then he begins to relish God perfectly. Then also he will be content no matter what may happen to him. He will neither rejoice over great things nor grieve over small ones, but will place himself entirely and confidently in the hands of God, Who for him is all in all, to Whom nothing ever perishes or dies, for Whom all things live, and Whom they serve as He desires.

  • What is the meaning of Christs death on the cross? I am coming at this from an angle which transcends both the religious true believer and the atheist. The Old Testament is relatively unproblematic: it is an account of historical events interpreted within the context of a culturally-specific mythical belief system. The Christan myth is more perplexing. It seems to have its roots in archetypes of pagan sun mythology. Yet that doesnt explain everything. What did Jung say?

  • You cannot "explain" Christ, and especially not in terms of cultural mythology or pop psychology. He must be regarded historically - for what He did, and who He claimed to be, and what He predicted would happen. He fulfilled hundreds of prophecies in exact detail against trillions to one odds, even when He wasn't in direct control of the events (lineage, circumstances of birth, etc.). The only rational explanation is that Jesus is who He claimed to be - God incarnate.

  • Im afraid the question of whether there was an historical Jesus at all is still unresolved. The consensus, I believe, is that there probably wasnt although I wouldnt like to bet one way or the other. Biblical prophecies are notoriously suspect. Where you find trillions-to-one odds in favour, others would find tremendous odd against. However, Im open to persuasion. Name one of the prophecies you find convincing. Incidentally, I hope youre not calling Jung pop psychology.

  • Unless He was operating under the authority of God, how could Jesus fulfill any of the following Messianic prophecies? Born in Bethlehem Be from Nazareth Come out of Egypt (as a very young child) Descend from Judah, Jesse & David Have no bones be broken Betrayed to death by a friend Betrayed for exactly 30 pieces of silver 30 pieces used to buy the potter's field Be born of a virgin Perform amazing unprecedented miracles BE R E S U R R E C T ED FROM THE DEAD !
  • Why should the prophecies, even if authentic, have anything to do with Jesus himself? When the soothsayer correctly predicts Caesars assassination (Beware the Ides of March) it is the soothsayer we marvel at, not Caesar. Nobody thinks of Caesar fulfilling his own death (goodness me, he tried to avoid this fate!). Even if the Biblical prophecies are taken at face value, surely our sense of the mysterious should be reserved for the prophets.

  • The prophecies of Christ's death were made in detail by the prophets He Himself spoke to. They wrote what they were told. In addition, Jesus repeatedly told His disciples that He would be killed (and that by crucifixion). Jesus was not only a prophet in this respect, He was the Object of all Messianic prophecy - both the Author and Fulfillment of it all.

  • So Jesus foretold his own death and the manner of his death and the circumstances of his death. Well, this just makes Jesus a seer too, doesnt it? If anything, it could be argued that foreseeing the circumstances of ones own death is less impressive than foreseeing the death and circumstances of others, because one has privileged insight as well as, of course, a hand in determining those events. So I dont really see where youre coming from.

  • The Bible uses the terms "seer" and "prophet" interchangeably. Do you define them as different from one another? The Bible also makes a distinction between "prophets" and "false prophets." The prophet's words came to pass without fail, and they upheld the Word of God. False prophets did not have 100% accuracy, and they did not uphold the Word of God. By their fruits they were (and are) known.

  • Your argument is that because the prophets predict things that come true about Jesus, it means that Jesus is God incarnate. How so? It means only that prophets are gifted (and that, only if accounts in the Bible are to be taken at face value). If Jesus told some of these prophets what was going to happen to him it makes these prophets not prophets at all. It does however make Jesus himself prophetic. Being prophetic about ones own life and death, however, does not make one God incarnate.

  • The Scriptures clearly present Christ as God. The names applied to Christ in the New Testament could properly be applied only to one who is God. Jesus is called God in the phrase, "...the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13; compare John 1:1; Hebrews 1:8; Romans 9:5; 1 John 5:20, 21).

  • The Scriptures attribute characteristics to Him that can be true only of God. Jesus is self-existent (John 1:4; 14:6); omnipresent (Matthew 28:20; 18:20); omniscient (John 4:16; 6:64; Matthew 17:2227); omnipotent (Revelation 1:8; Luke 4:3955; 7:14, 15; Matthew 8:26, 27); and possessing eternal life (1 John 5:11, 12, 20; John 1:4).

  • christ's death on the cross was to atone for your sins so you could have salvation through him and have eternal life.

  • no it was all of our falts jesus got nailed to the cross :,(

  • @thewarfly He was watching from heaven so you could have the chose of going to heaven jesus died for you and god did not interven so you could go to heaven

  • God the father already knows that this will happen to his son Jesus. It was all planned (John 3:16) Read Isaiah 53 (old testament) its was Jesus that Prophet Isaiah describe.

  • how did Jesus become the son of God?

  • Jesus didn't "become" the Son of God, He always was. Titus 2:13; John 1:1; Hebrews 1:8; Romans 9:5; 1 John 5:20- 21.

  • God is Omnipresent. Everywhere at once. He had to temporarily look away from Jesus, as Jesus "became sin" for us, to make a way for our pardon. Just from a fallen perspective of human relations, I can see that the Father suffered more than the Son, just as I would if one of my sons were suffering. Jesus willing came to do that for us, and the Bible says that we who turn back to Him as a result will be worth it all to Him.

  • very true... God the father suffered more.. to see his own son paying the penalty of our sins and bec he loves us sooooo mucch that even his own son bears everything... :(

  • well said :)

  • He's the Reason "WE ARE"!!!

  • i feel so ashamed, for it was my hands that beat him and nailed him to the cross

  • Mine, too.

  • ME TOO (crying shamelessly)

  • Is this really jesus ?

I can't believe he was scourged so badly..

    I didn't expect this..

  • He was. See Isaiah 50:6 and Isaiah 52:14-15. More "marred than any man..."

  • He sure was.

The scourging that occured before the crucifixion was meant to nearly kill the victim (Jesus,in this case). The roman flagrum literally tore the victim's flesh of with each lash.

Back in those days, people would think twice before committing a crime.

  • Thats gross

  • Gross, but true.

  • yea

  • We will see whose "mentally ill" and "unable to cope" in the days to come! It won't be real Christians, I tell you that!
