This song was written specifically for the September suicides of teenagers in the LGBT (in other words, lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender people) mentioning those teens.

Hence the "I'm born free but I still they hate, I'm born me, no I wont change" and "a weightless step" refers to suicide, and it's sad that people would kill themselves because people won't accept them the way they are.

But RA shows us we need to accept and love people for who they are, not what we want them to be :]
