I don't really know if they are better than new ones, but these old beauties aren't really for playing; they are collectibles and a lot of rich folks are willing to pay big bucks for one.

@metalryche5150 hey man, people that say there's no difference haven't played a 50 year old guitar. you know how aged wine and scotch kick ass? well a piece of wood over 50 years dries out and becomes more porous and possesses a resonance that new wood just can't. also... magnets age, p/u wire wound around the bobbins age..... all these things age in a magical way. yes... these guitars are extremely overpriced but i have heard the difference. ... and it's GLORIOUS.
